The fact that people will now have a way to buy DRK with fiat is pretty huge.

The absolute worst coin you could trade if you didn't want governments to pay attention to you is
DRK
Don't kid yourself that regulators give a damn about whether cryptos have transparent blockchains or not

Don't kid yourself that regulators give a damn about whether cryptos have transparent blockchains or not Look, all regulators need (look for) is an excuse. Anonymity is the perfect excuse. Up till now, regulators in the US have been pro-bitcoin because law enforcement tells them that transactional crime in crypto is actually easier to track due to the leger. DRK is a different story and can be used as a sound bite or a example of the "crackdown" if it comes. Politics = perception = reality.

I will gladly ride this train. I think its utterly stupid for Finex to add this coin.

You add the coin and make your money now -- and on the outside chance that the gov't comes a calling a year later after DRK has gone "mainstream" then you take the appropriate action. Unless you are implying that the exchange is already doing something illegal and for that reason doesn't want attention. DRK is not even the best anonymous coin in existence.
now you're starting to sound like a troll. Yeah maybe I am wasting my time here...

The Bank Secrecy Act and existing AML policies towards digital currency will still apply. In general, moving in and out of fiat requires the use of regulated entities. Non disclosure of financial transactions on a blockchain ledger is not a reason to stop anonymity tools such as Darkcoin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7bbDpwlTws&feature=youtu.be&t=11m48s~12mins
