Port: 9322 or 8322

In order to mine NVC on GPU you should use cgminer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0
Tutorial: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117221.0

Example:

cgminer -o coinotron.com:9322 -u username -p password --scrypt

this attack is stupid, COINOTRON is neutral, great in supporting every altcoin, and the only one in most cases.
It has a superb support and high quality service. its NOT pushing or promoting or favorizing novacoin in any way. coinotron also quickly adapted trc and frc. you are hurting safety and diversification of all coins by atacking such a great part of our comunity as coinotron. ddos nvc checkpoint nodes or smth but leave coinotron alone.

Often times those that DDOS aren't exactly too high up on the IQ food chain.  They're more reactionaries.  Sure, there is a time and a place for a DDOS attack, but this certainly isn't one of them.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

To be honest the only solution is to wait. Attackers paid for certain amount of "ddosing time". We have to wait until they run out of money. Otherwise we have to buy ddos protection which would cost us much more that attackers paid. It is sad but it is true.
PS
ISP doesn't help a lot. They are periodically disconnecting our server from internet because they are "protecting" their network.

I'm completely ignorant on how much this kind of stuff costs.  How much would you "wild ballpark guess" that a DDOS like this would cost, and how much would the DDOS protection cost? And who would you pay the DDOS protection cost to?  Your server hosting company?
