I think this coin will be wonderful sucess.
“If you are familiar with buying and selling firearms-related goods or services online, then you are aware of how difficult it can be to process your financial transactions. This prompted the creation of Guncoin, with a big nod to 2nd Amendment supporters and firearm enthusiasts. Despite the naysayers, Guncoin (GUN) is alive and well and prospering after several years of successful operation. We thank you for checking out our coin!”
Amazing future of this [Suspicious link removed]d luck to dev team

I believe that the price is....what we will make it to be.

There is/can be deep loyalty with regard to the 2nd Amendment and firearm supporters.

The sky may be the limit once the actual product/brand awareness is understood and Guncoin is implemented by those appreciating firearms and freedoms.

Yes, the dev is active.

In regard to the roadmap...basically a path forward, starting with the wallet updates.

hi all, what is the expectation for guncoin price. Is the dev active? any road maps. Thanks for the help!

As I said, in my previous post announcing the release, I am not a big fan of roadmaps.  All does not always go according to plan with software and sometimes things work sometimes they do not and sometimes it takes longer than planned.  Additionally, there is always competition of some kind out there, for our against our coin and what we believe in.  Laying out a detailed roadmap is like Coca Cola giving all the details of their new drink months in advance, giving Pepsi a heads up on what is coming and also giving them ability to take shots at it.

From my point of view, I think I was pretty clear in my post as to where we at going - update and secure the coin through multiple releases.  Once we are happy with it, then we release a mobile wallet and all the other wallets.  After that, I will not say for now.

As always, the goal is to keep the coin as decentralized as possible.  As such, it is the community that determines the demand and ultimately the price.  Additionally, another Exchange expressed interest in GUN once we complete our upgrades.

We have had some very active discussion about other possibilities and smart contracts in the past.  Those are well and good, but there was never any clear cut option that I thought was workable at that time.  One thing for sure, we will have a technologically sounds coin for the firearms community that will have wallets for all, easy to use and load.  Honestly,  how hard can it be to have a gun shop owner download our app and then send him 5 GUN as a thankyou......

Without going into any details, we do have some very good artwork for paper wallets.  And we are looking in to the best path forward to package that up for gun owners as well.  Anyone wants to write some "how to" for various aspects of the coin or youtube videos is more than welcome.

I see quite a few newbies just looking at GUN - thanks so much and welcome to our little piece of the forum.

so 3 years passed, have GUNCOIN any practical use any store ? enywhere ?

3 years ago, gun store owners and the majority of the 2nd amendment community knew nothing about cryptocurrency.  There was BTC and that was about it.  There was no demand for ANY other altcoin.  The vast majority of the altcoins died off and ceased to exist.  Thousands of dollars and BTC was spent on dying coins.  Our small but loyal community kept guncoin going and now the time is right as the whole world knows of bitcoin and many other good altcoins.

Once all of our upgrades are complete and mobile wallet complete and a few more exchanges pick GUN up, it should not be a problem for the firearms community to accept GUN.  Think about it, wouldn't they prefer a current, stable cryptocurrency that has been around for 3 years or a token crowd-funded within the last 6 months, full of hype and promises and overpriced......there simply is no upside in that - it makes no business sense.  To me, the choice moving forward is a no brainer.

I updated mine to the newest version.
Seems to work fine.
I like that we can generate receive addresses without a passphrase, makes sense because why make it more difficult to receive money?
Maybe that was in the old version too, but don't really remember now...moving forward.

I am running the mining from the wallet for fun.
Will share if I get a block.

HAHA, share that I found it.
It's quite rare nowadays to be able to get a block via CPU mining.

So far, we have heard nothing negative about the recent V1.2 release and appears to be running very smoothly.  Even better, despite bitcoins recent runup, our price has stayed relatively unchanged.  So if you have not upgraded your wallet to V1.2, please do so at year earliest convenience.  We would like to see a large number running the new wallet, to make sure our blockchain remains stable and there are no issues, before moving  forward with the next phase of coin upgrades.

but how do we KNOW its not a scam?

LOL, GUN is a very stable coin that has been around and fully operational and being diligently mined for over 3 years.  We have a full description of what was provided with this recent upgrade and the path forward in previous posts.  Additionally, the release notes and our code are open to anyone to inspect.

If GUN is a scam, it must be the longest running and least profitable of any to date, considering that it has to cost more than any returns taken, especially those to create/run/update website, wallets, etc.... and that's not including any remuneration for time spent/donated to make it all work.
If one factors in the value that might be created someday for the users of GUN, there may be a good argument that GUN is almost free for the taking at the moment, buckets of coins, like empty shell casings on the ground, just gotta pick them up Smiley

It is good though, to be wary and ask questions since there are real scams about.

While some ICOs do make a lot of money, there are quite a of few of these ICOs that do nothing - and there is a very recent one that was a proven fraud.  That is what I said previously, why would you trust a token with a fancy website, that has only been in existence a few months as compared to s stable coin over 3 years old and documented blockchain to prove it.  It is hard to convence non-techies the crypto currencies are not just a fad.  Most would be very wary of putting money into some thing so new.

I think our history and current low price and staying stable with BTC going through the roof, makes a GUN an excellent option for any investor, not just those in the firearms community and 2nd amendment supporters.  With our recent GUN V1.2 upgrade, we now have functioning Guncoin wallets in over 20 countries, compared to far fewer only a weeks ago.  We thank you for your support no matter where you are!

Because I say so, that it's not a scam.

Hope that's enough for you. Smiley

It's nice to see the old coin still stick to today, GUN I've updated it to the latest version, and everything works. How many people are using it now? You want to see a lot of new wallets run to ensure that the block chain remains stable Smiley

We still have less that half the active wallets switched over yet, so please spread the word.  We have a little more than we expected after the first week switched.  We posted on Twitter again and that picked up quite a few others.  You can track the progress at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/gun/#!network.....This is a great site!
