Something tells me I shouldn't admit to that. :b you def need to youtube him and listen to his interviews and such. one of the most well known bitcoin aficionados around. the best thing i like about him is that he knows how to answer every question about bitcoin and has an answer for almost anything negative you can say about bitcoin. he also is very ideologically, socially and politically attached to bitcoin, which I tend to like. |

Very nice video! Short, sweet, entertaining, and very informative. Funny thing is at the end when it shows the thumbnails of other videos, there's a couple of em from CryptoMoneyExchange demonstrating mining on my pool! There are only 5 or 6 videos in total with anything about OctoCoin on Youtube right now. The two with the most views, both happen to be mine. The one above, I put together rather quickly and I have been meaning to create something better, but haven't found the time. Now that we are getting more information from the OctoDevs, I may have to make some time to get something new out there... My other OctoCoin video (Vote 888 at Mintpal) is better, I think. You should embed it on your main OctoPool page to remind people to vote!  |

well, that little experiment seems to have been conclusive, price went up and hash went up. pulling in a solid 1.2 GH now!
having fun talking to people in various trollboxes about octo, tonight's an easy night to drum up some intrigue. when everyone's waxing over the top 5 PnD coins, talking about "the future" gets them all a flutter. considering the mostly toxic atmosphere those trollboxes usually are, i've been surprised with how receptive alot of peopel have been, must have linked this thread and the website at least 10 times, usually to multiple "sounds cool! i'm def going to check this out!"
this is a "tentacles on the ground" campaign gentlemen, move out!
*ppppssssst, just cause a lot of coins had their vote numbers cut down, we just flew ahead 4 places to #12 today. don't rest, now's not the time to relax, we gotta keep the pressure up. to be a top 10 coin on MP will get us a lot of attention. it's already beginning, keep it up!

The OP Pools could do with an update.
Only Fusionhash (beware their password reset doesn't seem to work) and Fedaykins are still working the others are either down or 888 is disabled.

I second this, this is the most simple to fix problem the coin has (which says something!). Coinmine.pw has octo too, tho it is currently under maintenance. |

Guessing the bitcointalk thread isn't as big of a priority for these guys as it is to other coins since they're all software developers. They seem to tweak it every week at most. I know the P2Pool was working for me as recently as two days ago.
Also... hey Jay! I'm starving over here! ETA on the jerky?

That's what I was thinking bholzer, I thought if the Dev's aren't necessarily checking the pool statuses them so it might help if someone told them (for next time they come and visit us with news goodies).
I'm a little interested in the geographical distribution of coins.
We (the bearded council) are based in the UK and have been mining Octo since launch and have a bit under 100k 888 How about you guys?

i'm closing in on 100k, i've been mining AND buying since the beginning. SlickCorp is headquartered in Canada =p sold pretty much everything else i had to get more octos. i was half-considering buying the rest all the way to 6000 satoshis when i saw it start to skyrocket yesterday ^_^
and btw, can whoever has sell orders for 0.00913000 can you PLEASE pull them!? it makes the bittrex chart impossible to read, and completely useless. i know we all want this coin to be worth $10, but ti's not, and right now you're ruining the party for alot of traders who would like to see the TRUE order volume graphs.
PLEASE TAKE IT DOWN, i asked about a month ago, and to no avail. come on, do the right thing.
