The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I've been in Octo literally from day one. It's so rewarding to see the price creep up. The first round in Vegas is on me, cheers!

Since when did OctoCoin get to spot #12 on Mintpal? Looks like i must've blinked I have been following this coin, mintpal removed votes from all coins where votes from multiple accounts coming from same IP address, 888 obviously had a lot less of this but you can see the bot votes Zimstake has been getting have not been removed as they use different IP addresses for each vote. So if anyone is creating more accounts and voting from your same machine, don't, as they will be removed. I tried this with other coins so I know

Who knows how high it might skyrocket once it hits Mintpal. That being said......I should buy some more!

This coin is so great. The only thing it doesn't have is selling pressure.

looks like we lost about 500 votes, but others lost a lot more. zimstake however didn't lose many, they were at 20200 or so lastnight, they have gotten the vote out probably better than any other coin that i've seen. would love to emulate their success. they already got 1000 votes since lastnight after jackpot coin paid 4 BTC for 4000 votes and overtook them for #1, they rallied their troops and got 1000 legit non-payed votes in about 12 hours. I know they had some sort of givaway for mintpal votes, but i thought that ended a week ago? Would be worth doing a case-study about to see if we can implement any of their strategies into our push for votes. the coin on it's own is kinda a joke, but that's their schtick, so whatever. Looks like the big looser was Aidencoin, they were #2 i think, now they're lower than us. our hashrate has been going up alot though, probably due to the increasing price... good to watch these metrics to see if a higher price push quickly just attracts multipools. if it's other people investing in octo then that's obviously a good thing, but i think that we don't want to be a "go-to" coin for other multipools to just get profit to exchange for BTC, this is a possible issue going forward, as we're not a "1-week PoW, then PoS" coin which seem to be popular ever since blackcoin kinda invented that format. By constantly having PoW we could be the target of multipools who would just dump the coin back to us (maybe not terrible?) and thereby lowering the price (maybe terrible?) I mean for our price to go up, we NEED a higher hashrate, so that it does not become too profitable for multipools, i just wonder what the ideal pace is... if anyone could PM me some metrics i need to consider, i have access to an astro-physicist who can churn out some equations for me. used her to figure out what the ideal ratio of mining power to total network hashrate for max profitability ))

A single user has been pushing 300Mhash on fedaykins pool for the past few days atleast. At this rate, he's getting over 40k octos per day :O. The asics are really going to "fuck shit up" when the dumping starts. I'm kind of worried about this.
Heh, I've spoken with this user, very nice guy. We exchanged a few emails while I was doing some more fine tuning to the pool's stratum. I've been reading for nearly an hour now and as of this post I'm still 2 pages back! "Don't Blink" is definitely an apt slogan for this coin! I read FusionHash's post about their multipool setup, internal exchange and all that.. Very, very exciting stuff! I offer you my sincerest congratulations on your pending launch, and wish you the best of luck! I must say, I'm just a teensy bit jealous, though. It's pretty close to the vision I've been having for a setup of my own, but the more I work on it, the further away it seems. I'm just one man After this post I'm going to continue to read up, I really try to stay current on the goings-on, but there's been so much going on behind the scenes it is difficult to stay in touch with the community. Its good to see everyone rallying behind the Octodevs, though. Like was mentioned, when I was in a horrible bind, they jumped right in and helped to bail me out, no questions asked. You don't find that kind of generosity around every corner nowadays. I'm hoping within a couple of weeks I'll have something new to announce, its been difficult to make much progress lately, but that doesn't stop me. I'd really like to be able to have my own internal coin exchange system for an auto-exchange pool, but some of the obstacles in the way right now will either require me to throw a ton of money at them, or think my way through them. I have that little voice in the back of my mind saying "If you can't offer the best, don't offer at all." I tell him to stfu. What I've been doing, I don't do solely for profits, but for the community and in the interests of learning more, and to that end I can say its been an awesome ride so far, and I'm not getting off the train anytime soon. Before I go, at some point today Octo-Chance will be down for a bit for some updates and system maint. I kinda assumed wrongly that it would be a popular game. More people are holding on to their Octos than I imagined. If that doesn't say anything about Octo being a real investment type of coin, I wouldn't know what would. If only more people would play, Octo-Chance would be a great way to invest your Octos, massive earning potential, but if nobody wants to gamble... lol Anyway I'll finish reading the last 2 pages of posts, and as always, if anyone needs me you know how to summon me

Very nice video! Short, sweet, entertaining, and very informative. Funny thing is at the end when it shows the thumbnails of other videos, there's a couple of em from CryptoMoneyExchange demonstrating mining on my pool!
