I'm trading on Kraken and from the orders I see, I'm fighting against bots, so I guess I will need one myself. I will spend some time reading and looking before spending 0.23BTC though.

What you have to understand before make the investment is if the bot fit your way to trade...i suggest to read FAQ more and more time  
For the rest i bought my copy and after first doubt Sampey perfectly drived me to the right way to use the bot.

Sampey how do I fix that after a restart the markets get zombie status?
We need the markets to pick up where they left off. Now we have trades on exchange set by CAT, CAT got zombie status and have to start new process under different market condition from the last set up (as it was not done right before the restart, e.g. 24 hours ago and markets changed). Ach.

It takes tremendous amount of time to set each market and once I get restarted and get zombie markets, they dont pick up in their process and have to start again. But the markets moved from last time I set them in CAT and it takes again a long time to wait the conditions change and during the waiting it takes worthless babysitting. Just to explain why it is important.

I have a bad news and a good news

Bad News : Actually then you Save parameters and orders CAT doesn't save pool values and trades and orders to restore
Zombie status is when :
- There are no ping/pong
- No Trades
- No Orders to restore
- No parameters to ADD values to buy/sell pool

This is why probably you got zombie error on some markets : no 100% data were saved.

Good news : In 5.1 version one of the focal point is the 100% data saved.

In 5.1 version i will improve this part and i will probably solve 90% of problems that could occurs during file restore.

I prioritize change list according to user request. It means that in past years/months user priority were others.
As i said, it will be added in the next release.

hoping for this as one of the first customers since years, because for this reason we wasted hundreds of absurd hours with reconfiguring and lost much cryptos because of not always have the time to do this...

full of expectation of this feature in 5.1 version, because in the meantime the frustration after every crash of CAT or Java(-GUI) is grown really endless

Sounds great - it'll be great to get back up and running ASAP after a reboot - I think windows rebooted again (wont get home to check for a couple of days), it would be great if the system carried on as left. In my (much simpler) bot - I just set all business objects in my model to serializeable, serialise the entire model on save/exit and deserialsie it back on load - not sure if CAT can do something in a similar way.

  Very pleased with C.A.T. Bot. It is a trading tool and therefore it is only as good of trader as you are. It has all the settings required for adjustment of buy/sell pool, stop loss, and percentage limits. If you get greedy with how many ping-pong trade completions you try for and the market turns, you might get stuck with a few coins (cost of doing biz). Here's the advantage. You can run dozens of markets across many exchanges at the same time. The amount of gains are up to your risk. The many small gains add up quick. It has already paid for itself.
