Australia tour of England got the green light from the both boards and they are ready to play 3 T-20 and 3 ODI series next month (3rd Sep- 16th Sep). Schedule clashing a bit with the IPL and some premiere players might miss few games of the IPL due to quarantine rules.
Australia tour of England in September confirmed
Last week we were discussing the implication of this series on the IPL. Now more clarification come from the one franchise (RCB), no 6 days quarantine for Aussie and England players once they reach UAE. let's see if they miss game or not..

Reason : They are already playing cricket in bio secure environment.

England, Australia players may not have to miss start of IPL

Caribbean premier league started and i do not think there are many fans here.

CPL is quite popular in India, as some of the West Indian IPL stars take part in it. But this time, it is going to be hard for them to attract Indian viewership. Everyone is busy after the IPL, which is about to start in a few weeks time. I watched the highlights of yesterday's matches and they were very exciting. Shimron Hetmyer managed to hit a terrific half century for the Guyana Amazon Warriors (vs St Kitts and Nevis Patriots). Also, Keemo Paul managed to nab 4 wickets from as many overs.

I also check this time no channel providing any match in our country as its really shocking even ten sports is also not giving any limelight even its very popular here and few players also involve from here but no protocol mean now we have to wait for next test which is going to start tomorrow and hopefully this time rain is not going to hurt as its doing for some time.

Ten Sports didn't got the broadcasting rights for CPL 2020. It is with Star Sports. At least in India, CPL is being shown live in four different channels at the same time: Star Sports 1, Star Sports 2, Star Sports 1 HD and Star Sports 2 HD. Even now, they are showing the highlights of yesterday's match. CPL is very popular in India, they can't afford to ignore it.

Australia has been given the all clear to travel to England for the T20 series which starts next month. I'm happy to see this as it looked like Australia wouldn't be playing any cricket this year. England will no doubt be the favourites as the Australian team have not played a game in many months where as England has had match fitness so its going to be interesting to see how well Australia performs in this series.

The Indian team left for UAE for IPL. All wearing PPE kits now so hope everything goes well. https://www.instagram.com/krunalpandya_official/?utm_source=ig_embed

Had read earlier that there will be audience in the stadium. Don't know if it's confirmed now that viewers will be allowed to attend.

Mumbai Indians(MI) – St. REGIS, Abu Dhabi
Royal Challengers Banglore(RCB) – Waldorf Astoria, Dubai
Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) – RITZ Carlton, Dubai
Kings XI Punjab – Sofitel The Palm, Dubai

Which ground is better and beneficial for the teams?

So after a while, we will get to see some matches between the big 3 teams. I am quite tired of watching all these one-sided matches. It looks as if the other teams are unable to compete against the big 3 teams in a meaningful way (perhaps with the exception of New Zealand). Teams such as Pakistan and South Africa used to rank among the world's best. But their quality have gone down quite a bit nowadays.

Dubai and Uae are known for their batting friendly wickets. So we can hope very high scoring games in these IPL Matches and 200 - 220 should be the par score. After a long time we will be seeing many international players under the same roof.  Smiley

Which ground is better and beneficial for the teams?

As far as I know, UAE has 3 grounds - Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Sharjah has a very small ground, even mishits go for sixes. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have bigger grounds. When it was decided that IPL will be hosted in UAE, I read somewhere that it all comes to who plays spin better. Because we are going to have 50+ matches in 3 grounds and we all know that UAE has extremely hot conditions, so the pitchs get worn out very fast. A dry and worn out pitch is definitely going to support spinners. So, once the tournament progresses, its all about who plays the spin better.

Emm, unfortunately you are wrong. Actually, UAE has 11 cricket ground, you will know more about that on Wikipedia.  Though they’ve 11 cricket ground but the IPL took place in three field. You are right that, this pitch is convenient for spinners. That’s why they can get extra support. on the other hand, you may know that, UAE's cricket ground is not that much big. so, we can expect that we will see some higher scores match in this IPL.  I suspect the score will be around 190 to 200. wait and see what will happen.

Players are getting a good salary now a days and they would not risk getting a life long ban without getting any benefits from the BCCI in his later life and it is not easy to get away with match fixing. In the past it was true that majority of the matches were fixed and UAE was a major hub.

Is it so? I do have a doubt about the fairness when the game was played in India as well. The history of IPL has a enough link with the spot-fixing as well. So it will be not a new thing.

@Soulmortal I don’t think that IPL matches are fixed even though at times I feel that some catches could have been taken, or why did the batman play that silly shot?.

However IPL is a global league now and the player’s are under constant observation, hence I really doubt that they’ll be able to fix the games.

Also if you have any strong evidence to back up your claim, then you should post it here so all can see it and make an informed decision.

Only one or two of these grounds have hosted international matches. Sharjah was the first emirate to build an international cricket stadium, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi following the example set by the former. But it needs to be seen how many of them conform with the standards set by the ICC. For example, Australian cities such as Perth and Adelaide have around a dozen cricket stadiums each. But not all of them can be used for international (or BBL) cricket.

What makes you say this? I think there would be a much more stringent controls because this team we aren't even having crowds players would be highly monitored. Obviously they would be kept in isolation and won't be allowed to meet any body. I don't think there would be any such issue.

I don't think salary was ever a problem many major players despite of having huge salaries in IPL ended up in spot fixing in lure of more money. The greed for money just never ends but yes stringent controls and constant observation these days make it difficult for such fixers to get away so they are always cautious.

The players are not that stupid nowadays. They earn good salaries and they don't want to destroy their reputation for a few bucks. But the same can't be said about the franchise owners. A few years back, the owners of both Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were accused of match fixing. But they got only two years suspension as punishment and the same people are back in business now.

Reputation when it takes the hit for the wrong reasons is not easy to make it up. Like still Sreesanth who has being cleared in the match fixing but among people he is match fixer and did wrong act. Thus those 2 years ban would have hurt the franchisees in terms of sponsorship or the value, and now the negotiation power would just be in the hands of advertisers rather than the team. Chennai still has an edge due to Dhoni being in the team.

Sreesanth was acquitted by the court, but due to internal politics the BCCI refused to remove his ban. On the other hand, people such as Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja were proven to have committed match fixing and yet they are in respectable positions now. In the case of CSK and RR, their involvement in match fixing was proven beyond doubt. In any other country, these two franchises would have faced termination. But since N Srinivasan is so powerful, they avoided that fate.

I don't have any kind of evidence but I commented about the fixing due remembering the past incident in 2013 and the two team Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were suspended from the IPL in 2015, alleged  some illegal activities.
