The most important thing to note here is that he is scoring the runs at a good strike rate. With almost 9 runs needed per over, they can't afford to slow down when the wickets fall. Gayle and Pooran scored the runs at around 8-9 runs per over, and this gave the team a comfortable victory. BTW, Agarwal looks like he is out of form. CSK for more than a decade had a bunch of players who would regularly feature in their playing XI. I am talking about players such as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja.etc. When one or two players among this regular bunch becomes unavailable for the entire season, the team management struggles to find suitable replacements. And that's why they have performed so badly this time.

I had high hopes on Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a captain and a finisher to win some matches that they were poised to win and they failed to do that in multiple occasions and then the team selection was a blunder.
Kolkata Knight Riders is playing without Andre Russel and they are struggling as they lost three quick wickets and with Tom Banton in the team they did not ask him to open the innings that is strange as their usual openers were struggling and he is still in the crease and Banton needs to deliver big for them to have a decent score to defend and they have Pat Cummins and Lockie Ferguson to trouble the RCB players but for that they need a good total on board.

Till now RCB vs KXIP had a face off 25 times and its 12:13 wins respectively. So both team are at par but considering the today's match till now it may be a one sided match. In powerplay in IPL history this is the fifth lowest score scoring 17/4 in first six overs. KKR scored only 68 runs and lost 7 wickets, now they got only two overs remaining to put some total to defend the opponents. Yes it is the day for RCB and they had great chance to increase their NRR so they can be in a comfortable position after winning these matches.

What is happening in the KKR match, how come all of a sudden the pitch started aiding fast bowlers and spinners, did they change the wicket for this match as the ball is seaming and bouncing and if they really did change the pitch it is a foolish decision by the KKR captain to select batting and now they are struggling to put runs on the board as they are 68 for the loss of 7 wickets and with a win here RCB will be moving to second position.
