That's right, I agree. Messi is gone and Barcelona plays the first time in the Champions League without him, Griezmann and Pjanic are gone and the new transfers have not surprised me. What is Barcelona without Messi? That's exactly what we see today and it's not good. The players have to replace Messi and it's impossible. I also expect 2 more goals from Bayern.

I think Koeman really has to take responsibility for Barcelona's defeat and lack of performance in the Champions League this time around. As for the Sevilla - Salzburg match, despite the fact that Sevilla was able to recoup, Salzburg also had a good chance of winning. The penalty extravaganza also delighted me.

Salzburg missed two penalties. The match they should have won. Yet I played the bull Salzburg well enough. Sevilla is not a weak team. The performance of Salzburg against them is commendable.

Realisation of a penalty is the same skill as any other, so when one team hits three penalties and scores one, and the other scores one from one, I think the first team is weaker.

It was terrible game from Barca and more than deserved defeat, I wasn't expecting anything different to begin with, even when Barca where rampant Bayern have always been a thorn in the flesh, let alone when the team is in its most vulnerable state for over 15 years.

There wasn't even a shot on goal from Barcelona, I guess that'd highlight how terrible the performance was.

MU is biggest joke today. Even with red card, they had to win, but Young Boys simply dominated game. And Ronaldo replaced by Lingaard was real game-changer .

I gotta agree with this eventhough its my team, Young Boys wasnt good but Manchester United was pretty bad in this game and thats it. There were only two shots on goal for the entire 90 minutes and that was pretty pathetic coming from a team like Manchester United. Ronaldo must be so pissed off with this result lol.

Bayern Munich didn't surprise anyone by defeating Barcelona with a decent score like 3-0. Barcelona couldn't do anything even in their stadium. The fans should be really disappointed and I guess that many fans lost their interest in their team because of not being able to sign Messi back. In this match, they didn't have even one shot on goal which was terrible for them. Bayern Munich got a comfortable win and Lewandowski scored 2 goals also.

I only watched the match until the end of the first half and preferred to see the match between Barcelona and Munich which is a duel of two giant European teams right now, especially in the first half Ronaldo has managed to score 1 goal, so I am very sure that Manchester United will big win , but after I saw the livescore, I didn't think that Manchester united today could lose against the Young Boys, even though they had been leading 0-1.

Yes. Definitely a shocker on the Champions League opening night.
Let's be honest, it was a bad night for United. After Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off in the first half, the game completely turned around. United had just two shots on target in the second-half. Young Boys deserved to win.
United can only hope that losing their opener won't bring them bad luck for the rest of the competition.

On Manchester United and there disappointment today, I was so hoping them not to loose or even draw today's game. Not with all the welcome back CR7 and the high hopes for the scoreline of there last EPL game. Of course CR7 scored a goal but, this is another show that, one man doesn't make a team.

The young Boys team is not young, they are experienced enough. They are proving their strength. Although Manchester United was in full control in the first half, the Young Boys showed remarkable performance in the second half. Manchester players are not able to keep the ball in their possession. If there was an experienced striker in the Young Boys team, they would have crushed Manchester United's defense today.

Sad for those who thought Manchester United would win the title this season. In the first match, Manchester United is performing terribly against Young Boys. The match is now a 1-1 draw. Ronaldo scored the first goal in the 13th minute of the first half. I haven't seen any good attack from Manchester United players since the first goal.

If you look at the beginning of the match, I think you can indeed get points here, but disaster came when Wan Bisaka was sent off by the referee and it was one of the things that broke the rhythm of the game from MU.

What chance got by Barcelona, have you check and see the statistics on that match, looks again with how many shots made by two team, Bayern Munich success made seven shots and finish it with three goal but see again how come Barcelona have zero shot of goal and very team I think never have attempt to make goal. Indeed. Too bad for Barcelona, they even couldn't have a single shot on target although they were playing on their home. I am surprised that Barcelona only made 5 shots during the match and can't win the ball possession. It is not the playing style of a real Barcelona team. They should take more initiative to control the game by winning ball possession and force the opponent players to stay in their area. In this way, the opponents can't have many chances to create shots, and difficult to build attacking because have a small chance to win the ball. This is the original Barcelona play of style, they never let the opponents win the ball possession.

I realized Manchester United were only playing with 10 player, but United had taken the lead 1-0 and United should have made the most of their defence. If United don't change their strategy, United should still be able to make goals again, considering their opponent is a dark horse team in their group and should be, this is not a problem for the United squad.
