The match between USA Women and Thailand Women's team will be held shortly. The USA women's team decided to bat after winning the toss. The Thai women's team got a great victory in their previous match against the Bangladesh women's team. So in today's match they will be mentally strong enough to defeat the USA women's team. Moreover, the USA women's team is not very strong.

Today there are 2 more matches as well are scheduled in woman cricket world cup qualifier 2021. Out of all 3 matches, I guess West Indies-women's match against Sri Lanka-women might be more eventful to watch as West Indies-women are performing well in recent times. I am not following USA or Thailand women cricket but I read Pakistan-women team also performing well hence their today's match against Zimbabwe-women might be a one sided.

For gambling point of view, I guess I got nothing to do with women's cricket so far as odds were never convincing to me and most of my favorite places are not covering these matches at first hand. But, I am encouraging few of friends to watch these matches and to get familiarize on betting on cricket as most of these women's matches are easily predicable.

Under the current ruling alliance (NDA), it is never going to happen. But it looks like in 2024 Mamata Banerjee's TMC will come to power and she is regarded by many as friendly towards Pakistan. In that case, there is a good chance that sporting (at least cricketing) relations between India and Pakistan may resume. There will be changes in the BCCI management as well. Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah are considered to be NDA appointees and they may be replaced with nominees from the Pawar-Srinivasan camp.

India has boycotted playing with Pakistan way before current BJP came into power, they are not playing with Pakistan since congress party was ruling the country in 2008 AFAIK. So when you come to power it doesn't matter whether you are friendly towards Pakistan or not, you have to follow the state policy. I don't think BCCI chief has any role in deciding fate of cricket with Pakistan. Its all decided by there government.

I am a woman, but I do follow cricket. But the catch here is that 99% of the time I watch the men's game. Women's game lack quality, especially if it involves teams from the subcontinent. Only England and Australia are having quality players in women's cricket, thanks to the investment made by their cricket boards. In India, the BCCI earns billions every year and still they have refused to organize a franchise league for women. And in other Asian nations, they don't even have a proper domestic setup for the women players.

At the moment I agree with you. But I think it is better to watch women's matches than to watch irregular and poor performances of Bangladesh or West Indies teams. Women's cricket is not good enough now. But is slowly improving. The next few years will see them improve and play better. Their women's team is comparatively stronger than Bangladesh's men's team.

Nobody in Zim nor in Pakistan will be aware of this event, I bet. As far as infrastructure is concerned I think its same for both men and women. Its just about priorities. India is investing and earning billions from men IPL but there is no leagure for women in the same country, why? Because public has no interest in woman cricket, they only like women wrestling.

Women's CWC is going to be played in New Zealand 2022 so for this mega event we have qualifiers in Zimbabwe but sadly after very matches now these are called off due to suddenly rise of Covid-19, and it's all in limbo because they have nothing prediction about this now where and when these going to happen, so we have to wait for all updates about this.

I have to absolutely agree with you on this one because there is no reason why this can't be done, and we also know that BCCI is not doing that. you know, they are getting really good enough money from the IPL and why do something that might jeopardize the money. Maybe in the distant future where IPL will lose its traction, then maybe they will think about doing something like that in my opinion.

It clearly proves that money is supreme priority of every board not the cricket. India is only board that can afford woman cricket leagues even in loss, small boards like PCB, Sri lanka cant afford that. Till now its the choice of board to organize the woman leagues or not and they have not taken any measures for organizing it less Aus and England.

The main reason is the intrest of people in both these countries. In Australia as well as india englan people follow womens cricket as well and it is already popular there so they have the funds for this and they usr it as an investement because they know that they will get returns.
If other boards do this and spend money on women leagues not many people would come in stadium even to watch those matches.

Well... I have said this before. Returns should not be the sole concern. If the BCCI start a WIPL, in all probability the franchises will be in loss for the initial few years. But it will go a long way in popularizing women's sport and within 5 or 10 years, I am sure that the new league will return profits. Look at the Women's Hundred and the WBBL. When these leagues were started, the board suffered huge losses. But now they are net revenue earners, both for the cricket board and for the franchise owners.

You are correct these countries can promote this game in women because they are better educated and financial strong countries, and we have here some serious issues related to society, education and finances in many countries, so they can't do this all as we have in big countries.

Indian Cricket Board is one of richest but still they are not having interest in this because they can face some issues but still they are improving good quality cricket which is now growing very quickly across India but in Pakistan. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh it's not easy to have luxury like this even now in quality South Africa and New Zealand women teams are not good enough because it's also having some other things as well it's very long debate which is not good but women facing some problems in all fields because of gender even we are talking about equality and respect for them.
