Asia Cup sounds tough but its very far.

Ad is looking very good and if this all happened as plane, surely we are going to have some very good revival of cricket and other sports in Pakistan because now it's very long time we have no good news about sports win for Pakistan.
In last 2 decades we lost all good things which were on top like Hockey, Squash, Snooker and Volleyball. New peoples having offices with very professional approach is very good but still it's very long way to go because uncertainty is having big impact on this all.

Asia Cup sounds tough but its very far.

SENA countries will find some excuse at the last moment. And forget about Asia Cup. It is a failed idea. I don't think that there will be anymore editions of this tournament. With so many franchise T20 tournaments and leagues, there is simply not enough time to block two weeks just for this one. I guess the future editions of the Asia cup will be U-23 or U-19 tournaments. Teams like India are having packed international calendar, and they won't be able to spare enough time for the preparation. It will signal the death of Asian Cricket Council as well.

@Sithara007 the thing I’m interested to see is if the main player’s of these teams will travel to Pakistan or will they send their reserve player’s to play, but whichever happens it’s a positive step for Pakistan. Doesn't matter whether there main players or reserve players come to Pakistan. The point is Aus team is coming to Pakistan and if CA is concerned about security of there players then they will not send there reserve players also. Since security of reserve players is equally important. If CA is coming to Pakistan then rest of countries will also come.

Now one thing is sure Rambo is going to be stood for PCB because he is very stick person, and he has some good experience of handling things like this even Australian history is not good about touring of these countries like Pakistan and South Africa but still it is good if they will go ahead because now security issue is going to be better in last few months even in Afghanistan is having some better under Taliban control but still nothing is sure about this any time any trigger and all gone because many stakeholders are not happy with current situation even there is some better situation instead of last regime or so called democratic.

After checking this calendar look like cricket is surely having some better time here in this country but still we have to wait and watch for all until matches started.

Let them first come, they always cancel it suddenly without any prior notice. Yes, you are correct it does not matter whether the reserve players are coming or the main players, they are basically representing their country. I am still not confident that this series will happen. Australia has cancelled many tournaments in the past because of the COVID surge. They might again use the same tactics because of the new variant.

I am not going to be too harsh on CA, regarding South Africa and Afghanistan. At this point it is utter stupidity to visit South Africa. The Omicron strain is wrecking havoc there, and they are now reporting 20,000+ cases per day and 100+ deaths. Afghanistan is currently under the control of the Taliban and any sporting relationship with that country would be akin to legitimizing the terror regime. And I really don't think that Pakistan will receive the WTC points if the SENA teams pull out, because they don't have enough support within the ICC.

Hard to argue CA's case considering they didn't even bother to reschedule the SA series, still no talk whatsoever and refused to travel for long haul since the pandemic hit the world. We can argue that players safety is important and bubbles are tough but at the same time they hosted India and playing Ashes.

The reports i read about Omicron in SA, it indicates that it already peaked and now on decline.

In UAE U19 vs India U19 match, UAE won the toss and sent India to bat. India lost 3 wickets in 43 overs and collected 215 runs. Maybe to collect like 260. This run is enough to defeat the UAE team. If India had given the target between 200-220 then maybe the match would have been competitive. However, since no international match is being held now, I am enjoying the youth match.

Not a single local player and 99% of players in UAE squad are Indians. UAE cricket association looks like big scam and joke to me. They along with Asian cricket council making mockery of Asia cup. Only valid reason of this quackery i can think of is, illegal satta market, that's it.

Right now this is really poor from ACC and ICC but sadly no one can do anything in this case as they are having power and enjoying this luxury just for their gambling which is not helping cricket. If we have something good dignity they need some good things like UEFA as they are doing some very stick and good rules for fair play here also possible, but sadly no country want to do this, so we are having this crap all UAE, Kuwait and Oman already enjoying, and hopefully we will have some more in next few years if we have no solid and fair policy about this all.

Nepal lost all their wickets for just 143 runs. I do not understand why their national team is so weak despite having such strong and talented players with Bangladesh Board. We have seen before that the young players of Bangladesh have played great and won the Youth World Cup. But the same player is not able to play well in the national team. Bangladesh's board should be more careful about these players.

Being born there doesn't mean anything. How can these players be loyal to the UAE, when they have citizenship of other countries. And it is not surprising that the Emirates Cricket Board has banned more than a dozen players in the recent times for match fixing. The only driver for these players is money, as they don't have any loyalty towards the team. I am OK with including stateless individuals in national teams. But foreign nationals should not be included at any cost. If so, the richer boards will just import players from test nations and create mercenary XIs.

Defending champions Bangladesh start their campaign in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup with a convincing victory over Nepal's U-19 team. A lot of expectations from Bangladesh, here they start in a good way. Overall, the young Tigers have been doing quite well, while the national team of Bangladesh is doing poorly. There are some players who cannot perform on the national stage due to the large amount of difficulty associated with reaching the national team and the management's inability to take proper care of all players. Bangladesh's board needs to pay special attention to these players.
