As you guys are following this series can anyone here tell me the reason why the Pakistan team is struggling? I am surprised to hear that they have won just a single match whereas Zimbabwe won 3 matches. Pakistan's national team is far better than the A team. Considering the upcoming talents are part of the A team. I feel PCB needs to work on its talent pool and need to take proper action on those players who are underperformers.

What a batting display by Zimbabwean as they chase 295 without any problem in just 48 overs Craig Ervine 161 was the hero for the home side as they are now leading this series by 3 - 1 against Pakistan after securing their third win with two matches are remaining in this series.
Zimbabwe won the toss and choose field first which was not good decision by them as Pakistani batting done good job and hammered them badly with last five overs concede 50 runs which was surely good achievement for Pakistanis but sadly Zimbabwean batting was also done good job and have very organized second wicket partnership of 278 runs which give them success in this match and now having control in this series as well now on 25th May we will have 5th match of this series.

Surprisingly Zimbabwe again beat Pakistan. Pakistan played first and made a good score of 295 runs. In my view 296 runs target was a good target. But on the opposite side Zimbabwe tried very well and chase the target with in 47.3 overs. And they lost only 3 wickets. In this series Zimbabwe team performed really well and now the series is at 3-1. And still 2 ODI's left. Pakistan can equal the series if they win both. But I don't think so that will happen. Because Zimbabwe is in good form.

Apart from Omair Yousuf of the Pakistan team, no other batsman could perform well. Omair managed to play an excellent inning of 153 runs off just 126 balls. Besides, Kamran Ghulam collected 55 runs off 79 balls. I expected better performance from Pakistan batsmen. Zimbabwe won easily with a target of 296 runs. Opener Joylord Gumbie scored 111 runs and Craig Ervine scored 161 runs. Due to the great innings of these two batsmen, the Zimbabwean team reached the goal of victory by losing only 3 wickets. The dominance shown by the Zimbabwean team in this series is truly amazing. From this, it can be assumed that the future Zimbabwe team will be stronger.

@Iranus I’m baffled to know that Pakistan lost again because matches like these you expect Pakistan to win and I wonder if the player’s are distracted due to unrest happening in Pakistan? Also this should definitely be a wake up call for the Pakistani selectors because if your reserve squad is weak then it could hurt them in the future tournaments if their main player’s are ruled out due to injuries.

The schedule for ODI World Cup Qualifier is out. West Indies is placed in Group A, along with Nepal, Netherlands, United States and Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka is in Group B, and they are placed alongside United Arab Emirates, Scotland, Oman and Ireland. The latest news from the tournament is that several of the key players will be absent from the Dutch squad, as they are playing county cricket in England. Paul van Meekeren, Colin Ackermann, Timm van der Gugten, Fred Klaassen and Roelof van der Merwe are some of the players who are missing out.

But we never expected such a bad performance from Pakistan team. That said, bowlers like Mir Hamza, Shahnawaz Dahani and Aamer Jamal did what they could under unsupportive conditions. Again, let's not forget the purpose of this series. The PCB is using this series to give opportunities to some of the emerging players ahead of the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup. Those who perform well in this series will be considered for those tournaments.

Actually, I agree with you. When Pakistan scores anything more than 250 we always think that it is going to be a win by default for Pakistan. Because Pakistan always has a really good bowling lineup. But Pakistan was unable to have a good bowling performance in this series so far against Zimbabwe. The only excuse that Pakistan might show is this is not an official series. So this points is not going to mean anything. So they are trying out new things with different players. But success is always expected especially from Pakistan in these types of scenarios.

Rather than staying idle without any matches, it is good to have matches atleast with the young team. This brings more opportunities to the young players. Though the team Zimbabwe play against is the young team of Pakistan, the experience Zimbabwe players gain will surely help them in future matches. The last match to be played today, already Zimbabwe have won 3 matches. Even in the match won by Pakistan, the margin is very close based on the DLS method.

Ireland is the latest team to announce their squad for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Qualifiers. All of the regular players are available for the tournament, and Craig Young makes a comeback after recovering from injury. He will join Josh Little to lead the Irish pace attack. Ireland is placed in a tough group along with Sri Lanka, Scotland, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. Apart from Sri Lanka, it is going to be tough to defeat Scotland as they have been performing very well recently. The Scots have also announced a strong squad consisting of regulars such as Richie Berrington, Matthew Cross and Michael Leask.

In the last unofficial ODI, Pakistan Shaheens are batting well. After completion of 18 overs Pak Shaheend are 104 and still both openers are on the crease. If Pak Shaheens must try to score as many runs as possible because Zim team is in good touch and they have the capability to chase big target.

There are a handful of few experience players in the Zimbabwe team. I do not think it can make such a big difference. I saw few highlights and felt this Pakistani team is not capable enough. I mean how can they be bad with both bowling and batting. Watching them made me feel that a lot of work needs to be done with these boys. Some of them are okay but not that good. If they don't win the next match then they will be in trouble.

Pakistan A team got a great win in fifth ODI match against Zimbabwe A team. Batting first, Pakistan was able to score 314 runs where the performance of the three batsmen in the first row was extraordinary. The three first-row batsmen collected 215 runs together. When Zimbabwe set a target of 315 runs, they were bowled out for just 137 runs. 

The Pakistan A team has already attracted a lot of criticism after losing three matches against Zimbabwe A. Everyone was talking about this team Pakistan then what will happen to Pakistan in the future. Zimbabwe's entire team has played professional level cricket but those who have played for Pakistan are all newcomers. Despite having a completely new squad, they won two matches against Zimbabwe. And hopefully Pakistan will win the sixth match too and level the series.

LOL.. there is no guarantee that the Asia Cup will take place as planned. On 28th May, there is an informal meeting between the officials from the BCCI, SLCB, BCB and ACB to decide on the future of this year's Asia Cup. The tournament was originally scheduled to take place in Pakistan this September, but the BCCI has threatened to pull out if the matches are being hosted by Pakistan. PCB is still pushing for the hybrid model, there 4 out of the total of 13 matches will take place in Pakistan, and the remaining will be shifted to one of the overseas venues.
