I don't think so, KAT is on a different level and with his experience, he's far from being compared to Kai. As much as I want to cheer and believe on Kai, but if we look at the reality, Kai can't be compared to him and inside the court he can't do that much in defense IMO.
That's why they can focus with outside shooting and as well as offensive where they can go with the points play and that's how they're going to cope up with the Dominican Republic. But let's just let them play and this is also going to depend on how coach Chot will choose the players that he believes to take that win against them.

This is what I'm talking about the ball movement is there so they can win the game if there's no selfish in the team then for sure they can make a good play that will need them to victory just what they did. Yes even though that is a tune up game but still where happy to saw them that they will work as a team. Though, there's a saying "The ball is round". We never know what luck will permit or how the team's strategy will work against the opposing team.

KAT isn't the only threat they have; they also boast several shooters and taller, physical players. However, if we manage to contain KAT's presence in the paint, the games could become quite exhilarating. Gilas has strong outside shooters, and the fans' support could play a significant role in inspiring their performance.

With Junemar Fajardo, AJ Edu, Japeth Aguilar, and Kai Sotto, these big players will likely pose challenges for KAT in the paint. While it's difficult to directly compare an NBA player to a non-NBA player, it's plausible that KAT could face double-team defenses from our bigs.
