Today, we have two games. The first game has already started, it's DYIP vs ROS, can't decide which team to bet so I just watch the game without putting money.

I didn't even bother to check the pregame odds on this game. Same as you, I'm also not intersted in watching, you know, a farm team playing isn't really interesting to watch because we already know what to expect, and as expected, they lose to ROS.

However, in the 2nd game, it's Converge vs Magnolia, I think I'm betting on Magnolia even if they didn't cover the spread last time.

Not sure what you guys think about this game, but as for me, I'm going with the heavy underdog here.  Since it's Sunday and I have some to spare, I'm betting on the Converge to upset the Magnolia.  Converge is at 6.10 for ML!

For gamblers who are seeking for some game to bet I'm pretty sure it's the spread that they are analyzing, whether RoS will manage to cover it or not, just the same with you, I don't have that trust for DYIP as they are just here to continue advertising their companyand I don't know what else they are getting from joining this league, but competition wise? There's nothing from them that fans, if they have to expect.

By the way, I saw Calvin already back in the line up of Magnolia, now they are 100% healthy and sure they are the team to beat this season.

I believe they are still at the top of the standings now even though they aren't perfect anymore as they lose to the Rain or shine, but I'm also counting now the possibility that Ginebra will overtake them since Scottie was already back.

Great catch! It was a low scoring ball game as they only finish a total of 168 points, and with that, you know which team's pace have dictated the game. Magnolia won by 8 points so you won your live bet bro. It was an exciting 1st 3 quarters but Magnolia had a big run in the 4th quarter and resulted to outscoring the Converge by 10 points. Magnolia is really dangerouse when they will play pressure defense, that has been their strategy and they are very effective with that since they are good in managing their players minutes, so they could preserve the energy in the 4th quarter.

Another win by Magnolia here. Just asking, what was the pregame betting handicap for Converge? I'm just curious because the last time Magnolia won they didn't cover the spread.

The game was quite entertaining until the Magnolia started to have a big run, and that has changes the complexion of the game. Weaker teams  when they are down against a stronger team, they seemed to give up easily, and that's probably what happen to the Converge.

I suggest (based on my observation), if we want to win betting against the Magnolia, might consider betting on the first half only, either ML or handicap, I think it will work.

I suggest (based on my observation), if we want to win betting against the Magnolia, might consider betting on the first half only, either ML or handicap, I think it will work.

Thanks for this suggestion, that's what I also observe with Magnolia.  They have a wide rotation so they'll be able to maintain that energy until the 4th quarter while their opponents are slowly getting tired because their starters are playing heavy minutes.

Next time, I'll try this, to prove if this experiment will work.

Wait until they are down double digit as surely they'll bounce back. Teams like them could outscored their opponents with a big margin even in just one quarter because they are playing good defense and they could run.

I don't know, I think Meralco are gonna bounce back from a lose against Ginebra. Their import will have to play better basketball this time which I'm sure he is capable of, so I think to take chances here and instead I will bet on Meralco, hopefully they are the underdog.

But let us not discuss more about that game yet because we have two games tomorrow that are line up.

With Scottie Thompson back in the lineup for Ginebra, i think your choice is a good one. They were in the losing streak when Thompson was not there for them but bounce back strong against Meralco.

In the first game, I'm more inclined to bet for the Fuel Masters as SMB might be having some chemistry issues as their import will be having his debut today.

Yes, I also think kabayan that Thompson gives them a good impact. His presence inside the court gave his teammate realible two-way player who can do everything inside, I think covering that handicap against TNT is possible and if by heart Gin kings always delighted the fans might be possible a pride game between these two rivals.

In that first game, not sure though what the import can provide for the team, knowing that there are many firepower that can explode with SMB's squad, but like what you have mentioned, it's a debut, and we don't know yet if this new import can quickly adopt the way SMB plays the game.

In the first 3 quarters you can tell that Phoenix could win, but in the 4th quarter everything changes as it was all SMB.

They had a crazy run, just imagine a 38-16 score, that was 22 points win in just one quarter alone.
Overall everyone was contributing and their import score 26 points which is not bad for a debut.

Really, I thought Phoenix got that but in just quarter their effort was wasted.

During the first quarter when Ginebra was already down, I was able to bet on -5.5 but now if you are interested in betting, you can take it at -7.5.

IMO, this is still a very enticing bet as TNT won't be able to last with RHJ whom they are used to in carrying their offense.

I did not watch the game but same with what I mentioned, they have players who can really produce numbers and that what happened, TR7 and CJ both have good offensive contributions while the new import also contribute decently with 26 points and 16 rebounds, not bad for a newly acquired reinforcement.

Now SMB secure their place for the next round, something interesting as JMF still at rest and he might be returning soon, ready for the upcoming playoffs for sure.

I'm just curious with what has been the trend with the PBA as based on what I observe, when a team miss their import, they seemed to give their opponents a problem, either they'll win or they'll cover the handicap. I'm getting puzzled now if it's really the refs are trying to control the calls in favor of the import-less team or just the locals playing better without an import.

I think we just need for the experts to tell us the current status now. Based on what I heard when I watch the last game, I heared a word elimination, so most probably they are on a ranking now and those who does not have a good ranking will be eliminated.

Meanwhile, we have a game today for EASL tournament.

Currently it's Meralco vs Seoul SK Knights where Meralco is down by double digit, and because I trust Meralco I bet on them with the handicap of +9.5

PBA is just taking a break. The elimination round ended when all of the teams played 11 games apiece, looking at the standings most of them had only played 9 games. But even though the eliminations is ongoing, some teams are already eliminated even if they win their remaining games, Converge is one of them.
