I thought it was still in his hand when the buzzer went off but I was wrong. Overall it was a good game. I was just disappointed at SMB wasting their huge lead again. They should learn to protect their lead.

Credit to Castro and Pugoy. They put everything to get back to the game when they are trailing double digits. I thought it would be an easy win for SMB but I just blinked and TNT is back in the game.

Congratulations to those who won their bets unfortunately for me, it's a loss for me. Better luck next game, hopefully.

SMB is now dictating the game, their defense to Mikey Williams is very effective, Enciso is doing a great job, I think he will have more minutes just to make sure Williams will be limited tonight. It's a 12 point lead, let's see if TNT will have a strong 2nd half.

The story in the 2nd half is different, it's TNT who are dictating the game and they are still up now in the 4th quarter. Well, this game is far from over, it's very exciting to watch now, I'm not confident if TNT will win because we know that SMB will not give up easily.

Mikey Williams' was foul troubled in the first half contributing to the lousy plays of TNT on which the SMB capitalized and have a 12 point lead.

Congrats, I guess Castro is really that experience and willing to take those kind of shots. And it was the SMB of the previous series against the Bolts, seems to be dominating but need some push to close a game. So another buzzer beater and great escape by TNT. But then again, this is just the first game, and for sure, SMB will make the necessary adjustments in Game 2. I haven't check the odds yet, but if they are the underdog, I might go with them.

SMB fans has really been too aggressive and often don't accept defeat. It would be better if they would know how to accept losing scenarios and apply sportsmanship to their bias. It's obvious that TNT have won on game 1 though it was a close fight and I don't think it was fixed. I guess SMB will own the 2nd game.

SMC is even more influential than MVP. If there's a fixed match, it will be supposed to favor the SMC teams.

These guys just don't accept the defeat. Besides, it's just Game 1 and there are lots of chances to bounce back. They control almost the entire game but TNT didn't give up and ended up winning.

If the game goes to Overtime, it's still not assurance that SMB will win.

It's a disrespect to all players that they are putting their effort to win but some fans will consider that game as fixed because the result is not favorable to them. Bullshit reason for those people.

I think Castro was out in the first half when SMB had the big lead. When he is back in the second half, they were able to come back. That and the valiant effort of Pogoy put TNT in the lead and eventually win the game with Castro's winning shot.

Remember when Ginebra lost to Meralco in the first round? That's what Ginebra fans did as well, and I see it funny that there are people out there on social media saying it was rigged blah blah, but they can't show any proofs at all. Typical Filipino keyboard warriors . Let them bark on social media, but I will just ignore them for the sake of PEACE .

Well, that's a good way to start the PBA Finals. Whenever you need a final shot, TNT always go on Jayson Castro. He is a very reliable veteran and TBH, that buzzer beater was the closest that I saw, and I think he released the ball at less than .1 second. That's how close that is. I'm an SMB fan ever since, and I already accepted what happened because it happens, that's all . Castro is a great and fast veteran player at his age, so it isn't surprising to me at all that they will go to him to throw the final shot, and he did it against Magnolia one time, so they know that he can do it again.

SMB knows that they can defeat TNT. They just fell short in the final 1.6 seconds. I'm curious on how the SMB will adjust to it or they will just focus on what they are doing which is spreading the offense and not focusing only on JMF like what they used to do years ago.

Refs can't do anything as the pressure from both MVP and SMB are really huge, that last shot is really controversial we can't deny that it's close to an eye blink to determine if Castro still holding the ball or it's already been released before the buzzer, my take, if that is not MVP team for sure it will be a different call, it's just so happen that the pressure is there for the refs not to call that, we will see if how SMB will bring the pressure in game 2, I'm expecting more pressure from the whole management to weight with the refs and PBA

He's already in the air and even the timer says zero, it has to ring the bell as it still has milliseconds to consider. And that's why the basket is counted and that decision won't be changed.
SMB has just to do well on their game 2 and let's see if they'll still choke by that game or they won't allow the lead of theirs to be caught up by the TNT.

You can see that the board is not yet in red light. Yes it is zero but the board not yet in red. And if you review the video, it is really hard to determine.

The rule in PBA is "When it is inconclusive, the first call stands" and the first call was it is a basket. So it is counted.

Mind you, I am an SMB fan and I accept that they lost Game 1. Fans should move on too. It is just the first game and SMB has shown that they can have a big lead against TNT, only if they can protect it. SMB will adjust in Game 2 for sure, that is what I want to see. They can dominate TNT, with just a little adjustment.

^I'm also a fan of SMB and when I saw that the referee count it in, I admit the defeat of SMB and move on and look for the next game. Yeah, probably those who are really a die hard fan of SMB has making the rounds, but the call is already final and nothing can be done to change the ruling. The best thing to do for SMB is just move on with the lost and look forward for a game 2 win and just be positive and make the necessary adjustments.
