Truly what a game! That was really close, that buzzer beater made by Powell. That's really surprising, I thought that it's really the game for Northport but really a few mistakes and they're done.
Those turnovers, I think that were two turnovers that they should have secured the game with those 42 seconds remaining. That lousy lay up of Arwind, I guess many fans are blaming that now.

They could have won the game, but mistakes do happen, there's nothing to blame, they will improve for sure, what's important here is that we proved this guess team is not really that good, they are not unbeatable. Next game, Bay Dragons will be up against the Phoenix Super LPG.

They're close to victory and winning that game with the few remaining seconds left. Mistakes after mistakes have occurred and that last shot by Powell really has exploded that 2-point lead by Batang Piers.

Last season we can say that Northport is one of those farm team but now they will say that not anymore Jeff chan, arwind Santos, bolic and rest of the team showing a good performance In their last two match and today they almost win a lot of improvement from the players . But the buzzer-beater shot by Powell let the  Bay Area Dragons wins for the second time. And now they are currently top 1.

I would have won if I bet on the spread but I played safe and waited for more games from Bay Area Dragons to see how strong they really are. And Northport has exposed them. They are big, fast, and outside shooters but they are not unbeatable. PBA teams, especially the strong teams, have a chance to beat. Tough defense is the key.

I chalk that as a lucky shot for Powell. Two men are all over him when he made that shot. I don't even think that he could see the ring when he threw the ball, but it went it.

The last play of Northport was rushed. I think when the shot clock was reset, there is only 1+ seconds differential from the shot clock. They should have burnt the time and made the shot in the last seconds. The Dragons should have less time to set up a shot to win the game.

Wow, what a game. It was intense and an exciting one, NorthPort almost got the win but Bay Dragon's import Powell did save the day for them with that buzzer-beater 3-pointer. Though the lost, nothing to be ashamed of because NorthPort manage to kept the game as close as possible until the final buzzer and this will remind the Dragons that they will lose along the way when they faced a stronger team like SMB, TNT or Ginebra.

I was impress with how Sumang improves his confidence coming this season but on that last play I don't know why he needs to shot the ball he can just waste the time and keep that lead to win the game, though it's really an impressive luck throwing that hard shots in front of NP import and still make that basket, so lucky indeed!

Yup, they've got much deeper squad now, Caperal and Tolentino plus Sumang, they are a team who can upset even the super team, but in this conference the import need to work harder to lift the team up. Local contribution is good, but the import really needed to step up and start the boost.

Probably they're clearly a dominant team right now in the PBA and if by chance  he wouldn't be locked up on the defensive effort, they'll just be sorry. I often wonder who will stop Liu among other teams now that he's a dominant force on the frontcourt, I bet other coach on other teams has a plan on their sleeves to challenge the giant.

Northport misses a lot of shots towards the end of the game, they could have win on this only if they are more consistent since they even have a good leas at the first half. Bay Area seems more composed but I’m sure other teams already have a game plan against Bay Area, it’s good for them to have 2-0 standing at the early stage of this commissioners cup. After Northport exposed the Bay Area, personally, I can say that the visiting team will be having a hard time beating MVP and SMC teams. With an additional import main team like TNT and SMB have a full capable rosters to match with the visiting team, though I'm sure after that buzzer beater wins those viewers who watched the game will be interested to watch upcoming games against the heavy weights teams.

Aside from SMB and TNT, Gin kings is also one of the favorite during an import conference, Brownlee vs Powell. I love to see how Brownless will take this as a personal challenge.

True and they might be a slight underdog if they face the all-Filipino cup champion SMB Beermen if their succeeding performance will not be too good as their first game. As early as now, we knew that SMC and MVP teams are scouting the Bay Dragons and for sure already know their weakness so gone are the huge odds for their opponents.

He said that teams are learning but, the main people that are learning here are them, the commissioners. They should really add more teams to fill those talents that are in different other leagues.

Agree with you there. However, if Bay Area Dragons instead have an easy win against Northport last night, I doubt most bettors will bet against them in Moneyline no matter how tempting the odds is. Only a few will still take the courage to place a bet on the underdog team and no matter how big the handicap is against this guest team.

But for let's say the Dragons got an easy win against Northport, I'm sure that if against SMC teams, especially Ginebra and SMB, the highest ML odds I'm seeing for these teams will be around @2.1 - @2.3. No way bookies will consider SMC teams as a heavy underdog against the Dragons.

Powell is doing an incredible job as a point guard. The Dragons are not lacking in height, and they already have a good center in Liu Chuanxing and Duncan Reid.

If only the shot of Myles Powell didn't went in, people will see NorthPort differently after that game. I think that this game boosted the morale of other teams and they believe that if NorthPort can then so they are.
I remember the post here where the odds are heavily favoring Dragons to the point that the odds of both teams is 1.01 for the Dragons and around 12 for the NorthPort.

They just showed that the Dragons are still beatable and they really is even though they have a star-studded looking team. Unfortunately, Powell will only play the first 4 games and that 4 games are against those independent teams and Andrew Nicholson will play the rest of the games. I really want to see Powell playing against SMC and MVP teams but it looks like not it will happen.

On the other hand, it looks like Tolentino going to the NorthPort is really a good move because he and Bollick are the top scorers of team right now. If he will continue, Tolentino will be the one who help Bollick offensively and after a few years, SMC and MVP will try to get him "again". Ooops!! .

I think this team is not a farm team but they cannot just match the offer of big teams.

Well, they need to play harder, they have a good line up now, good import, and a good coach that has a play that would allow everyone to play. Tolentino is just a talented player, but since he is now with the Northport, he now has more opportunities to help his team win.
