I think Meralco's import is unreliable. In OT, when the import of Northport is out because of cramps, he did not take advantage of his height inside the paint. No one should be able to stop him there, but he keeps on missing his shots and not even getting the rebound.

Not just the import but I have noticed that Meralco's overall performance during the second half is not that good. After they limit NorthPort's offense in the 2nd quarter by only 9 points, they didn't able to repeat that in the second half and NP takes advantage of it. Crucial game, looks like Meralco is more pressured.

And in overtime, Meralco seems not aggressive at every play, unlike NP where we can see that their energy is still on the highest level after the end of the regulations. Robert Bolick is really hot even others say that he is ball hogging. A win is a win though.

It's okay if there are some who calling him a ball-hog but being the main man if the team, he has the license to take those shots. I also believe that he really takes matter on his own hands whenever the team needed him. Though what is good for this team now is they've got additional scorers who can really play well along with him. Players like Tolentino, Santos, Sumang and the rest of the team are showing more competitive. Like what you just said, a win is a win and whatever happens today will be another good memory for this team.

They just needed to continue chasing for more wins, and who knows? They might be in the next round or higher.

What a game by Robert Bolick, scoring a new career high of 44 points and leading NorthPort to a come from behind win.

Personally i thought that it was money in the bag for the boys of coach Norman Black as they lead all the way and they still lead by 8 points in the last 3 minutes and NorthPort's import was having a cramps but Berto rises to the occasion, scoring at will and brought the game into overtime.

I just wonder what was the odds when the Bolts was up by 11 points early in the fourth quarter.

We missed that opportunity, it was Meralco who is controlling the game but Bollick is really clutch, he is a real definition of a superstar, I'm just afraid that he might not stay longer with the North port as for sure SMB management are already aiming to acquire him.

Too early to talk about the trade with Bolick but there’s no doubt about his skills and talent, such an extra ordinary player where he is willing to go all out for the team, what more if their import will become more active and contribute as well. There’s a huge chance for Northporth to be on a better place this tome. Let’s see if they can sustain this momentum towards the rest of the season.

I can say that his debut impresses the crowd scoring and rebounding wise. He really helps lift the team.

Will see if competing with the sister companies he will continue to have that same dominance, still early though.

Yeah, Bolick was clutch in that game and not afraid to take shot even if it was in a not good position to do so and as i observed, seems that he was hogging the ball too much that Arwind Santos almost lost his patience lol. Anyway, a win is a win and it's a good thing that Robert Bolick led them with that convincing passion.

I would not be surprised if one day he will be donning a SMC uniform because he is in the radar of boss Alfrancis Chua for a long time now and who needs a legit point guard in the SMC teams, i think it is Ginebra if LA retires so most likely Berto will be going there hehe.

He gains interest during his debut, but if he will not perform well in their next game for sure, there is criticism that will come up. If Bollick isn't playing like that last night, they surely lost the game because the Bolts are up double digits in the 2nd half, but him and his teammates came back, made a run and got the victory in Overtime.

I guess Ibeh lacked in conditioning coming into this game but let's see how he will play in their next games. He is very dominating inside TBH. Getting rebounds and he also got 5 or 6 blocks IIRC. The only downside to him that I see is he isn't an offensive minded import unlike most of the imports that are coming to the PBA where they are offensive first player.

Most of the bigs are not offensive, they mostly focus on their strength which is the rebounding and the defense and for Ibeh, I think he is doing a great job providing good defense to the team as we cannot deny this team is surrounded with great offensive local players.

The final score is 101-91, the Dragons won the game but I also won my bet. That was not an easy one though because at one time the Dragons lead by 18 points which I think will balloon to 20+ points but fortunately, it didn't.

Yes absolutely true converge imports doing good he performed well and in the end of the first half they are leading by 10 points which thats good enough if they can maintain and as in the end of third quarter they are leading but in the forth and final quarter the locals of magnolia give their best and we all know that in the clutch situations they are pro enough so they are already know what to do and thats the reason why they win.

This is why locals should not depend too much with their imports they should play as a team and help everyone if they are struggling. Mags proves to be a best team and not as individual performance, we saw some struggle with their imports what they did is to play better with their system. Some imports are actually now performing as expected to them but still they are here for a reason and the team should stay compose and play the game.

Bay Area Dragons overcome the 16-point deficit before the half against the Phoenix FuelMaster.
Magnolia Hotshots overcome the 14-point deficit early in the 4Q against the Converge.

I'm really amazed at this new team Converge. Even on their debut at the last conference they really show competitiveness against any teams in the league. I see this team will be one of the independent teams that will soon rise to the top if they maintain that kind of performance.
