Tomorrow we have SMB vs Converge, I'm leaning on the SMB here as I believe they will bounce back from the embarrassing loss against the Dragons.

I'm still waiting for the betting odds but I'm sure SMB will be the favorite here, hopefully not the heavy favorite so I will be tempted more to bet on them. By the way, the first game are DYIP and Bay Area Dragons, I know it will be boring that's why I didn't tough it.

Yes, you are right about that mate and for sure they need to do some adjustments to prevent such a loss again because like you said a star local player is out, and also a new import will be in thats a minor problem for the team as we all know that their import has a big role for the team and that's the reason why they need to do more adjustment from their playing technique and also building chemistry for the players as well.

Dyip was massacred by the Dragons mercilessly, a 54-point lead, was it a record in the PBA? Congrats to all who take the -20.5 Dragon bet, that was an easy win for us. Seems to me that in the Dragon's next game, the spread for them will go higher whoever their opponent will be because the bookies will refer this game where they demolished Dyip by a very wide margin.

Yeah, they fall short this time, I think they need a better import because their imports production is even lower compared to the locals like CJ Perez and Tautuaa. Better luck next time again, it's still too early but we've seen already that they cannot win without JMF.

They will keep losing because they don't have the roster to be competitive this season. It's necessary for them to make big changes next season, and learn from their mistakes so they will improve like the Blackwater. The spread was high going to that game, but it's not a problem for the Dragons as they easily covered it.

I mean the outcome of TerraFirma-Bay Area is expected already and we can predict that they will lose to them. What I didn't expect is SMB losing to Converge by only 4 points. Now the SMB are 1-3 and they are at the bottom as well. We are almost at the halfway of the elimination already and just by looking at the standings, 4 of the top 8 teams consists of independent teams. I think it just shows that independent teams can still make ways to defeat these big companies even though they are getting talented players to them.

It's not over yet for SMB, they only loss twice, if they can make the right adjustment and start winning again, they'll still be in the playoffs, and probably by that time Fajardo will already be back fully healthy again. It's always the story with the SMB that once Fajardo is out, they'll really struggle, so it's not surprising.

The current standing of SMB is 1-3. The first game was a loss against Bossing, then Bay Area and the last one from Converge. If I remember it right, they also almost lose it against RoS but they managed to escape that game and win. Just like what I said as a fan, I'm not going to worry about it. If this season is not for them, there's always another one for them.

Experienced wise, Ginebra most of the time bounce back after experiencing a defeat. It's a pride that they kept, and adding to that, Ginebra also has that mentality to play tough when they are competing against Mags. Not sure if my memory serve it right, Manila Clasico was way back an interesting game. Both teams are really impressing their respective fans when meeting inside the court.

Magnolia has been so consistent lately, their import is very efficient, but against Justin Brownlee, I know where to side as Brownlee is already proven.

JMF is one of their key players and even without JMF, they manage to play the game closely it’s just that Converge plays better tonight and for SMB they have to learn on that game and adjust accordingly. They badly needed JMF if they want to enter in a winning column as well, this is very unfamiliar territory for them because they used to be on top but right now their standing are not ok and they are at risky of losing the chance to proceed in the next round.

Ginebra are more eager to win and bounce back here, that’s how they played before and hopefully they can activate Brownlee on this game or else it will be more crucial for them. If JuneMar Fajardo is the only reason why they are losing then this team is trash right from the start, no offense but don't take my word personally. What I mean here is, they are having the best of the best roster in the league compared to other teams. We should not take the reason that the absence of JMF is really the problem.

True that, a well-rounded team and good coach always have alternative plays when their main man is absent.  We can take the fact that their main offense always involves their main man but in the absence of this person, a team must have laid out an alternative strategy to make up for the absence of a player.  The pressure lies on the shoulder of coaches, so if ever a team failed to do adjustment then I can say the coaching staff is a trash  ( no offense but coaches are responsible in all team adjustments.)

I agree if the SMB playing performance won't change then I think the franchise needs to take a look at their coach line up, possibly the problem lies in that area since SMB team is one of the top caliber team as you stated.

JMF is being sidelined for a long and was not that dominant when he returns last year for the SMB that's why there should be no problem with them right now as they are already used to that situation. I will give credit to Converge instead as even during their first conference, they are really creating noise against top teams.

SMB still has the upper edge if we look at their remaining healthy players. From starters to the bench, the majority of those are all good role players. The problem maybe is their chemistry with the import. I know it's not a good reason to say that it's the debut of their new import last night but who knows since it's a replacement.
