But so many things contributed to the failure of the Super falcons and one of it was mismanagement issues on the part of the Nigerian football governing body. There failure to pay the wages of these players might demotivate the players and make them under-perform.
Or the conspiracy against the Super falcon cause them the chance to get another shot at wining the Wafcon. The super falcons has been a dominate team in the competition so it's always suspected that they'll be treated differently just to give other a chance at playing at the finals. Did you watch the match that saw the Falcons get eliminated from the tournament, they played excellently but it was obvious the game was against them. The super falcons had two red card yet were still able to hold the game to a draw up til the penalty knockout that they lost. South African women won their very first title so they can't be said to be dominate and their man aren't doing so good as well. They both are just average when we talk about football in Africa.

The African region has been facing a lot of problems with football recently. And that has not helped the situation improve at all. There have been a lot of problems. Salary problems, problems of players with the board, as well as a lot of other problems, have been causing the football of this region to not be able to prosper at the level which it is supposed to. The game was already very challenging to play with one red card on the team. Although they received two red cards, they showed tremendous courage in trying to win the match. But it was a fascinating match to see. I also agree that both men's and women's teams are quite average. Nothing extraordinary to speak of.

Until until Africa countries take football important and invest in it the way other part of the world are investing in football then football will change for good. But since they don't value football and have interest sport they will still continue to be having problems, Africa needs to improve for things to be okay.

That's very true as the Africa countries taking football serious to some extent are doing well. We have counties like Egypt that that have very nice stadium and their local leagues have huge presence and attendance compared to other African countries and their national teams are also one of the best in the continent of not the best as they have won the highest AFCON tournament. They have even produce one of the most talented player in the 21st century Mo Salah . Don't say we don't value football, just that we have lots of problem in Africa for we talk invest in football. People are likely to go on with their daily activities that'll put food on their table then going to watch our local players pay. One reason we pick interest in international league is because we have high profile players in those league and peer pleasure (to feel among).

Because of Africa lot of problems they don't consider football to be very important. They forget football is one of the big investment in place like England. Investing in football is a good development that will also attract international football lovers which can also generate money.

Easy one the words and probably make yourself understandable, well I can say the value of African football is backwards compared to our European and American counterparts but let's not forget the big picture with is not to always blame the leaders especially when it comes to national league, using england for example most clubs there are private owned and the government rather than contribute are getting taxes from the clubs, so I think more private individuals should invest in African football.

Africans National Leagues can not be compared to the Americans and Europeans National Leagues. Africa mostly in Nigeria National Leagues are no where to be found in the football game. I have not even watched Nigerian League in my life. There is no channel that is even specifically that is set aside for Nigerian Leagues. Nigeria is very backward, I will still blame the leaders for the underdevelopment of the sport area.

Sometimes I actually feel like Africa is not paid enough attention. Another thing is there are only a few world-class players who are playing at the top of the big leagues. Players like Mohamed Salah brought a lot of attention to African football. Are you obviously know Africa values football but there are a lot of other problems going on which I told. People need food on the table and when that is the main priority, football is not Leicester City.

It would always be better to have teams owned by private companies or certain persons rather than the government controlling things. Right now I think African football is getting better and people can actually invest in African football. I think if one person or a company does invest in African football they are sure to find it very beneficial. After that, there will be more and more people coming forward and becoming involved in African football. But the question is who is willing to tie the bell around the cat's neck? Who is actually brave enough to take the risk?

Let not go too far , forget about the private club. Let just be real and tell ourselves the truth , can our national teams we have in Africa be compared with what we have in the European world .it is different because they have more value for football in all aspects.

No one is willing to invest in Africa football because it's heavily been controlled by the government and not an independent body. Take a look at other entertainment sectors like Movie industry and that of the music industry. You can see how great we're doing over there and that's because the government don't have a say in how that sector functions but same can't be said in the sport industry especially football. Investors don't trust the government because of their selfish and corrupt method of government. Lets take the Nigeria professional football league as an example, the league was just won by Rivers United and no private entity could acknowledge the club or probably get into a partnership with them and we have many private companies in state the clubs reside in instead, it was the governor of the state that gifted each players tens of thousand of dollar and you think the government influence on the sport will be reduced when they're the only one funding the clubs in their states.

Most teams in Nigerian professional football that is owned and controlled by the state government have got good sponsors but the influence and full control of the state government has always surpassed the contribution of the companies. For the reigning champions of the Nigerian professional football league Rivers United, Eunisel limited, one of the largest specialties in chemicals, oil, and gas production has been the major sponsor of the current champions Rivers United for over five years now. After the Rivers United players won the league I was so surprised to see the news of what the governor of the state gave to them without the media exposing the amount that was given to the entire team by the head sponsors Eunisel Limited.

In fact, I don't mind if the government controls the sports category of their country. That’s as long as they are doing a good job and that people are not corrupted. But it is quite the opposite in Africa. Everyone is looking for money. These government officials are trying to squeeze out as much money as they can for their own purposes. But if this was controlled by a private organization things could have been a lot more different. And the reason why private organizations or companies are not being able to approach them is because of the government. No one wants to compete with the government in any situation. Because that is obviously not a winnable fight for anyone.

Don't be surprised, who do you think owns the media house or are big Vc"s that are investing in this media houses. It's still the government as such they're obligated to report stories that make them look good. A good gesture by a private company won't be televised as that coming from a government official, don't forget we're closed to the election period so any publicity they can get now is highly capitalized on. Also I don't think the sponsorship gifts was as big or would be as big as that coming from the government. This government officials know how to throw money at this players to make themselves look good. Also the gifts by the government was personal gifts as such the players will receive it but that of sponsorship would be general.

Who is your Best Premier league player of all time, also who will be included in your top 3 spots?Lets have some fun discussion, the premier league officially is back as the first match of the 2022/2023 season will be played today. In celebration of this return, can we have some construction discussion on who were your best African players to have played in the premier league and just to make it easier you could also give us your top 3 pick as for some individual chosing just one will be very difficult. Don't forget to vote via the poll up there or give your suggestions on who you think should be on the poll. I'll go first, Didier Drogba for me is the greatest African player that even play in the premier league. It doesn't matter if all his records get broken but he still remains my best African player in the EPL. I grew up watching him play and he also played for my child hood club Chelsea. Drogba scored 157 goals in 341 match but it wasn't all about his goals, he's involvement at key point when Chelsea needed him the most is what make me put him above others. My top 3 are 1: Didier Drogba 2: Yaya Toure & 3: Mohamed Salah. What's yours?

I watched him play at Barcelona and also Inter Milan. He won Africa Best Player couple of times which was well deserving. Kanu Nwankwo is my next option if I should Vote here, growing up down my ends being called Kanu Nwankwo made me smile gives me that inner energy to keep playing soccer. He won trophies with Arsenal and scored goals and I think during Atalanta 96 ? Yaya You're comes next up , been a big Man, even if I was Manchester United fan. Loved how he Collab with David Silva , Nasri, and Aguero, at the National team he was giant unstoppable, just unfortunate not to be in a France squad else winning the World Cup would have be dead possible.

My Africa best player in the premier league was Sadio Mane, I think he is the best player Africa have ever produced that has gone international. Mane was an important player to his former club Liverpool, even to the recent club he belong too.

I would have simply gone for Didier Drogba, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mané. But this means that I would be unfair to some uncommon midfielders and defenders because I might be basing my selection based on goal scoring and not general contributions to the team. Although not given the right respect and recommendation, Yaya Toure was the pillar and engine room of Manchester City. He was one of the greatest midfielder Africa has ever produced. Although, Sadio Mané is a Liverpool legend but I would give my third slot to the Ivorian maestro Yaya Toure. The slots of Drogba and Salah is incontestable because they are demi-gods of the EPL. I would have considered the only African player that have won the ballon d'or; George Weah, but his impact in the EPL was not fundamental.

Leaving What Mane has won also let's not forget a female also got to win an award. The Barcelona attacker won the CAF Player of the year Oshoala of Nigeria. She has been outstanding no cap, she gives it her best every year.
In some way, I think that these awards are significant for Africa, and I like that these players are recognized, because this makes the little ones, the children, see that example in the players and athletes and want to imitate them, I know that it is an issue that It is not very controversial, but we must see these things from the most positive point of view, awards and recognition should always be flattered in the best way, I also see that the female soccer player also gets good recognition and that is something very worthy, and I hope they continue to get more, but I think that despite all this, the best future of the players will always be in Europe.
