i heard they are selling sp20's like hotcakes and zvi is on vacation for another week and one half

Zvi being on holiday would make sense. As for SP20's selling like hotcakes, yeah, hotcakes being sold in Antarctica. Seriously, why would the least profitable miner out of the current crop be selling like hotcakes? It's always been over-priced and offers terrible value compared to the competition.

I heard that ... Bla Bla Bla
Troll with hearing problems. Funny.

My hearing is fine and I'm not trolling, I'm simply repeating information that I heard. Given how insanely overpriced the SP20 is, such a rumour would make perfect sense to me. If SP20 has not been cancelled, then why is there no more info about it this close to shipping date? Why have the specs not been adjusted to be even slightly competitive?

If those rumours are completely false, what does that mean for SP20? Are the currently listed specs final? Are you still planning on shipping this month?

Why have the specs not been adjusted to be even slightly competitive?

This is one funny/stupid question. How can they adjust specs if there is a fixed number of chips that go into the SP20? It's like asking a Prisma to do 10Th/s. More absurd stuff from AM shareholders with delirium tremens from the lack of dividends and a share-price that is only going downwards.

Well, I got that info directly from Guy:

The SP20 should give better results then what we published. We'll get the faster ASICs in 2 weeks and revise the spec.
Also, iit depends on the PSU efficiency.

Are you saying Guy just lied about improving the specs in order to fleece people? Was the site ever updated with better results?

Better results isn't equal to specs being slightly competitive or not. It's simply better results that are the result of faster than previous ASICs. You should know that chips come in various types (slow, slow-slow, fast, fast-fast, typical etc).

That is definitely not true.
The SP20 actually runs quiet and fast.  A really nice miner.  I will make sure to post my review here when ready.
The SP20 they had running at the Inside Bitcoins Conference in Las Vegas was a pleasant surprise. :-)

I heard that Spondoolies cancelled the SP20s due to them being too expensive to manufacture and the performance not meeting expectations, hence the lack of updates despite supposedly shipping in the next week or two. I also heard that Zvi was fired which is why the broken firmware hasn't been fixed.

The AM shareholder crap is getting old, I'd be more concerned with your own business. Slinging mud around doesn't do you any favors or make you look any better.

You sure did not direct that to Mabsark? I'd be very careful when pressing the "quote" button.

Huh? It's pretty obvious I was responding to Roadstress since he was throwing around the "Asicminer Shareholders" butt hurt BS. Plus I can say whatever I want on a public forum.

Two of my new SP-30's are not going over 2TH for some reason. I have spoke to my hosting in Michagan and he says this seems to be an issue with many of the SP30's they've received. Are SP looking into this issue? We are losing out on the mining.

We'll need to check the issue. Please have them open ssh + https port forwarding and contact support@
Unfortunately, it's another long holiday weekend, so we'll probably be able to investigate only on Sunday.

The AM shareholder crap is never getting old if the same people try (and fail) to put SP-Tech in a bad light. I thought it's obvious that Mabsark is spreading lies and his reason to do it is beyond me! How on earth could you believe that SP-Tech cancelled the SP20 without any prior information and that Zvi was fired?

I don't want to derail the thread with offtopic stuff so I hope this will end here.

*Also I too can say whatever I want on a public forum so thank you for pointing to me what is getting old.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let yall know of a monitoring tool that works great (will work great once Zvi comes back from Holiday and patches the firmware) with SP miners.

It has two elements, a mobile app and a web based dashboard.

It can be configured to alert you about issues with your miners and can perform basic tasks such as switch pools and restart the miner.

Its totally free to get started, but some of the most advanced features are either an in app purchase (1 off) or subscription.

The product is called MobileMiner.

You simply need to run the "multiminer" program on a PC that is in the same network as the Miners (or if offsite, a vpn to the miners should work), then setup the mobile app as per the instructions.

http://www.multiminerapp.com/<< multiminer to run localy with the miners

http://www.mobileminerapp.com/ << Downlolad the apps for your phone and login to the web dashboard

The support from these guys was on par with SP-tech.

Here is a link to my public dashboard. http://web.mobileminerapp.com/dashboard/public/lMBGu40upPbfLQ It gives an overview of what I have monitored.  The private dashboard has a ton more information and provides a good insight as to how each miner is performing and has performed in the past.  The SP30 firmware has a bug which stops them currently reporting the correct speed, however SP-tech are aware of this and it is planned to be patched soon.  That is why my SP30's may look a little slow (1Th/s)

Thanks Guys
