I have question about SP20, the front fan looks quite cheap 120mm fan, if i´m not mistaking that fan gives the most noise, what if i could replace it with ultra quiet fan on same size, would it work? less noise? Fan isn't cheap. It's loud for two reasons. Firstly many fans have unique audio properties depending on how they are constructed. This is often referred to as the tone of the fan. The y-s tech fan used has a quite mechanical noise which changes in pitch and volume as the speed ramps up. Secondly this fan pushes 220CFM, that is a very fast 12v fan. That's a lot of air being sucked through a metal grill over the components then out through another grill. Yes you can replace it but the fan you replace it with will most likely be just as loud or not as fast and if it's not add fast if won't cool as well. Lastly it uses a non standard fan header so anything you use will either have to be supplied onto the original connector or the wire running out side the casing to a fan adapter on one of the molex plus on your psu. That's what I have done. Testing a few different fans so far but none have hit the sweet spot for noise and cooling.

Hi Guys,
Can anyone help me out.
When I run the "Devs" command on an SP30 miner (running most current firmware) I get the following output. av=4445838.29,MHS 5s=5923594.28,MHS 1m=5187361.37,MHS 5m=4678246.84,MHS 15m=4526365.21
I notice that the av number seems to be the only number that is accurate. Can anyone tell me what the other number are? I would like to know why the 5s shows almost 6TH/s in this example.
Thanks guys.

Statistics 101?... That aside As the measure time interval decreases variance increases e.g. A 5 second average reading has much higher chance to vary above and below the expected value than a 5 minute window. This is in part due to the manner in which the mining software calculates hashrate. A personal example. I have a particular miner which consistently performs at 500Gh/s both in cgminer avg and pool but I e observed the 5s avg vary from 200G to 1T

Could be because I'm on 210V rather than 240V?
Socket Voltage 209/209 volt Max Watts 1360 / 1360
PSU's are Emerson
-----BOARD-0----- PSU[EMERSON1200]: 1376->1252w[1252 1248 1248] (->1211w[1211 1211 1211]) (lim=1250) 0c cooling:0/0x0 -----BOARD-1----- PSU[EMERSON1200]: 1408->1252w[1248 1244 1252] (->1174w[1174 1174 1174]) (lim=1250) 0c cooling:0/0x0
Yes, it's because you're on 208V. Notice that your machine is configured to use 1360W max per PSU, but the software is artificially limiting it to 1250W. That's because these PSUs are less efficient (i.e. generate more heat) on lower voltages, so they can't deliver as much power, so Zvi hard-limited them in order to reduce the chance of PSU failure. Spondoolies hasn't done much testing with 208V, so they don't know what the PSU limits should be, but they know 1250 is safe. If you want to try to squeeze more performance out of it, you can bypass the 1250W limit with echo 1 > /etc/mg_ignore_110_fcc Just make sure to reduce your PSU limits in the Settings page first. My suspicion is you'll be able to get about 1280W to 1330W out of those PSUs at that voltage, but I've never tried. 1360W is probably too high.

lower your watts. Temp Front / Back T,B 36 °C / 74,77 °C Fan Speed 40---------------------------------------- Make your fan at 80 try all the other settingsStart Voltage 0.68 / 0.68 / 0.66 / 0.66 Max Voltage 0.69 Max Watts 175 / 170 / 175 / 170 low setting my power is only 753 at the k watt meter my fan is at 40! still really good temps and watts per gh temps are great

I'm seeing the following warnings in the Events page: Dec 7 01:06:55 miner local1.warn minergate[591]: Critical: DC2DC ASIC WARNING [2]: 7B=0x 0, 7A= 0, 78= 4, 7D=40 79=4 80=1 Dec 7 01:06:55 miner local1.warn minergate[591]: Critical: DC2DC ASIC WARNING [3]: 7B=0x 0, 7A= 0, 78= 4, 7D=40 79=4 80=1
There's nothing alarming that I can spot in the Dashboard. All the temps are between 85 and 115C. Should I be concerned about these warnings?

Yet wierdly on my SP30's I was getting between 1330 and 1360 on the same PSU's and the same power circuit. I wonder if the SP31's have more conservative limits on the PSU's I thought they would have less because the claimed TH output was higher needing more power to get there etc.
