No 12V to the hashing (main) boards. Only 5V to mgmt.

Quick question, have a new SP20E tweaked to run 1500 GH happy with it and the settings so......
Running firmware 2.5.31 any advantage to upgrading? If I do upgrade do I loose my static ip and or voltage settings? Thanks

Running firmware 2.5.31 any advantage to upgrading? If I do upgrade do I loose my static ip and or voltage settings? Some of the configuration is maintained after updates .. but if the update requires different settings they get overwritten. By upgrading you might lose the voltage settings, but definitely you don't lose the static IP configuration and settings.

Yep, make a note of all your settings first ... if things change after an update you can reconfigure.

I performed the "invisible" upgrade to 2.5.33-no voltage settings were lost, although I only setup settings in settings pane, not in advanced. Spondoolies actually recommends using DHCP with reservation (using MAC address) instead of static.

Thanks for the answers Biodom, DevonMiner, and Wh00per appreciate it. For some reason it didn't like my DHCP server (Sonicwall NSA 2400 Firewalls) I actually had to pull off network and use a Netgear to get the miner to pull an address so I could configure.

New amazing feature in 2.5.54 If you set in your pool user something like: your0wallet0address0something_%%m...%%v...%%i it will save it in cgminer.conf.template and then whenever cgminer starts dynamically creates cgminer.conf adress like this: your0wallet0address0something_SP35...2.5.54...10.102.20.25 The nice thing is that now it is dynamic, so when you change IP or FW it will update the pool username. If you don't want username to change - don't use this feature. But be careful - if you have /etc/cgminer.conf.template on your machine DONT MANUALLY EDIT /etc/cgminer.conf, since it will be overwritten first time you run cgminer.
