SP-Tech competitors seem to be having a party about it.
competition is always good for us consumers.
now SP20 competes against S4 & S5 and considering bitmain can cut S5's price in half what is SP going to offer us ?

Grin
yeah funny.
look at S3 price: 199 USD and S5 does not have second fan and expensive dc/dc circuits
The smile was about "What is SP going to offer us ?"

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

When we'll be close to the 200 mark, we'll contact the customers with a product page for the GB.
Shipping will be within 24 hours of payment.

The best way to make money on SP20 was by waiting.

I got one for $814 a week ago (paid maybe 10 days ago), then there was a "christmas" deal few days later for $633 and a couple of days later-a new deal for $500
I expected just to breakeven at best all things considered, but these movements were nothing short of astonishing in speed.
Besides, miner did NOT make $314 in those 7-10 days-barely $100 (even with four days of extra profit due to paycoin rush)
Nevertheless, $500 looks like a good price now, so I am not complaining, maybe will even participate.

My point is this: I am OK with declining prices based on what usually happens (difficulty, product aging, etc), I am less OK with an extraordinary profit margin when as a miner I expect just to breakeven at best-but it is up to Spondoolies, of course, how to market their admittedly good device.

I ordered a 3-pack on 12/21 (Order order #3872), can you tell me when this will ship? Also, I never received compensation for the delay on order #3242 back in November.

I ordered the Holiday 3-pack on 12/18 as well and it still has not shipped either.

I would have hoped for a faster shipment on an "In Stock" item.

I emailed support and was told it would ship in a day or so. Tomorrow will be 2 days since I was told that???

only see the wrong design from the very first SP20 .  There should be a 8x PCI-E.
true. maxing out power rating for the socket is very wrong decision
Please continue SP20 related technical discussions in our thread.
The manufacture takes 20% margines over the 288 Watt rating.
1. Where 288W per one molex came from?
2. Why video card manufacturers use two molex sockets? High end GPUs consume ~275w max

Because the official standard by molex rates 6 pin PCI-E at 75W and 8 pin PCI-E at 150W [and most PCI-E slots at 75W]. The standard is crazy conservative though.

That standard isn't by Molex, it's part of the ATX standard. Molex (and others) just make compatible connectors. The 75W for 6 pin is actually a power supply standard, it specs that the power supply must be able to output 75W to the 6 pin PCI-E graphics connectors. That's why the spec was bumped to 150W for the 8pin connectors even though the number of current carrying conductors didn't change; it was merely a way for the PCI-E SIG to standardize that all power supplies with an 8pin connector are rated for at least 150W on that connector.

The actual spec of the Minifit-Jr connector depends on what version you use and how many pins are in the connector, but it's much higher than the ATX power values.

Edit: A standard 6 pin Minifit Jr with 3 positive and 3 negative 16AWG conductors is actually rated for almost 20kW if you run it balls out.

I know how you feel..was hoping mine would get in the post before the holidays since we will loose a couple of shipping days. Their miners are awesome but the shipping delays and communication issues are frustrating me. Now with the lowered price for the GB I wished I had waited to order :/

Just a small sidenote, or question or something.

I see in Legendary's posts at the disassembled SP20 they have this hard glue or something at the heatsinks to fix them.

I've opened one of my boxes to check what is inside ( I know I know... Warranty warranty....) but I had no glue at the heatsinks they just moving at the corners, I can pull or push them up and down and they are very lossely fitted on the asics.

It's only one, I didn't opened all.

Is this normal or something or have to fix it?

The "loose" spring pressure is enough to cool the chips with the stock fan.
The glue was added to fix the heat sinks in place during transport and not damage the chips underneath when the package is subjected to shocks.
If your's hashes ok, you should not glue them.
