I've read that he is also unvaccinated which means he could probably miss next week too as they have a min 10-day quarantine in place.

These past two weeks have been absolute chaos and it's getting worse, it's not even 99% luck, it's 100%...and we can't do jack shit about it, perhaps only pray.

I'm gonna flip if one of my studs gets on the reserve/covid-19 list...please god no, noooo...

By my count, Saints are now on their 4th QB (do they even have a backup anymore?) and Payton is out too.

In response to the Omicron variant, the NFL and NFL Players Association agreed last week to halt weekly testing on vaccinated players and begin random testing of a sample across teams and positions.

The problem with this change so late in the season and in the middle of multiple outbreaks is that at best it may slow down the train wreck but is unlikely to make a big positive impact. At worst it may create (or create the perception that it did) more chaos since the whole thing seems already out of control.

Tennessee was a bad matchup for him.  He was td dependent (which he did get).  Not a big Wilson fan for ff, could get 1 point or 20 lol.  And yeah saints are down to their 4th, I think Alvin Kamara will be there backup lol.  I imagine if it came to be they would run every down and just play power football like the Pats did in buffalo.

This is giving me some doubts, I had plans to sit down Kamara as last week he had a bad matchup and only gave me 3 points, but if the Saints have to field their 4th QB then even if the Dolphins decide to stop the run I could still get enough points just by volume alone, this is a difficult decision as I liked the prospects for the rest of my RBs and sitting one down in favor of Kamara is a difficult choice.

I don't know how the ESPN leagues work either.  If we have twelve teams next year, will we automatically have one elimination round in the playoffs?  Does the league allow making changes like that?  Will it allow us to have the final game on week 17?

I was playing around with custom league settings and it seems quite flexible. You can choose the length of the regular season and the number/length of playoff rounds, among many other things. With 12 teams you can have 2 or 3 divisions for example, and set up playoff byes/wildcards accordingly.

I would suggest to keep it simple though and not get too crazy, but if the preference is to not use week 17/18 then we would have to either make playoff matches 1 week long (might be too harsh), or shorten the regular season. For example with 12 teams you can probably make it 11 weeks and play each team once. There are also double-header options but that seems a bit weird (you play two teams at the same time). Maybe it would work on non-bye weeks. We'll have the long and boring off-season to figure this out.

Also it could be interesting to change the order of the tie breakers, the current order while it is the most straightforward also takes some fun out of the game, it could be more interesting for head-to-head matchups to be the first tie breaker as it is the case in the NFL as well.

But as you say we have a long time to discuss this and find some common ground.

I am already thinking about my leagues next year since I’ve sadly been out of the playoff picture for quite some time now.  My recommendations for your league next year would first start at not using ESPN. When I first started playing FF I used ESPN. It was by far the best platform, but it’s since fallen off. Yahoo which I used to hate has definitely taken over as the better option. It’s much more smooth both website and app wise. I hear NFL.com is decent and I know the hardcore players love using Sleeper, which I believe is ultra customizable. I used to always avoid doing 3 rounds in the playoffs since it cut the leagues regular seasons games short at 14 weeks since there was only 17 weeks until this year and you never want to play the final week due to how many players get sat for rest since their teams are already in the playoffs. But now that there are 18 weeks I kinda like the 3 round playoffs.  Either way I’d love to join y’all next year.

Yeah last nights game was surprising to me.  I am glad that I forgot about it until it was already on as I would have definitely put my money on the Niners.  I did not expect the Titans to pull that one out.  I guess they were pretty lucky that they had AJ Brown back in the fold as I doubt that they would have been able to win otherwise.  The Niners are just so hard to figure out.  One week they look amazing the next they are losing games they have no business losing.  I am not sure that either of these teams will be able to do much in the playoffs regardless.  (Cant believe it's almost playoff time! )

I agree with chi.  Personally I like yahoo, much more seemless experience.  And definately not count the last week as part of the final since besides covid, some teams arbitrarily sit their star players.  And teams that are out sometimes let rookies play and get some field time.  Has been a great season it's been a very competitive league we got here.  Are we raising it to a 10 or 12 man league next year?

I am not certain about what website is better for fantasy sports, however, Yahoo Sports is the best website for following the scores if you cannot watch the game live, I reckon. I tried to watch all of the season for major league baseball before. It was hard to watch all the games, I used to watch one live game and had many browser windows for the other games. It had all the best presentation for updates, a graphic of the bases, who was in them, the pitcher and the batter.

He was only a good play by way of volume but yeah tenn D has been solid, thats why I have been playing them every week (up till now).

I was playing the GB defense so I was happy with all of those picks, the match against Hueristic is very tight so I needed those points, it seems to me the match will be decided at the TB at Car game as Hueristic is playing three TB players, if Brady is inspired I am most likely losing this match, which means I need Cam Newton of all people to have a good game today.

In other news, watching this Buffalo vs New England game ? I know it’s not over but I believe my intuition was right that Buffalo is the better team. I guess even if they win it’s still tied up one game a piece, guess we shall see how the playoffs turn out!

Yeah, isn't lovely?  The one thing saving the 49ers' season right now is the "Implosion of the Arizona Cardinals."  Coming soon to a stadium near you.  

Just kidding, really.  Their offense is going through some trouble, but the scary thing is that they're still playing pretty decent defense.  They helped me out by holding Jonathan Taylor to a mere 100 yards and no scores.  None the less, the loss was a crowd pleaser at the Wolf Household last night.
