I usually don't bet on friendly matches. However, I am willing to bet on Barcelona to win today's match. I watched the performance of the Barcelona squad in the last few matches. This team is playing well. They also won against AC Milan and Real Madrid.
Barcelona's past record against Tottenham is quite good. Barcelona have won two and drawn one of their last three matches. Harry Kane and Son's performance in all three matches was very good. If Harry Kane is not with the squad today, it will be difficult for Tottenham to score against a team like Barcelona. Barcelona's defense has been very solid in the last few matches. They did not concede a goal against Madrid and Milan.

I think the reason Kane is not playing is because Kane is still in the transfer negotiation stage, to avoid injury or other unwanted things. Without Kane presence, Tottenham attack line is certain to be blunt, on the other hand Barcelona is superior. In the last four matches Barca won three times and lost once against Arsenal.

I can even bet on this game that Barcelona will defeat Tottenham, even though I know Tottenham is a very good team and has good players, because Barcelona has good players and is in a good position due to their abundance of talented players who know how to play well. Even though Dembele is about to leave the team, I don't think it will have an impact on them because they have players who can take his place, and Barcelona is still adding players. So, despite the fact that this is just a game and Tottenham could beat Barcelona, I think it will be very tough for Tottenham to do so. Barcelona will therefore win this match, in my opinion.

On their official website, Tottenham announced the signing of Alejo Velis. The contract with the central striker has been signed until the summer of 2029. It looks like a hint to Kane that there is already a replacement for him, but I don't think that Kane will react much to such actions. I also read today that Kane has issued an ultimatum to Tottenham that if no agreement is reached with Bayern by the end of the week, he will remain at Tottenham until the summer of 2024 and then leave the team as a free agent.

Not the best option for Tottenham as they have a choice of getting 100m for Kane now or he will just leave in a year and Tottenham will be left with nothing. Kane can be understood, leaving the team after the start of the season is an extra difficulties that he wants to avoid.

Congrats to Arsenal for winning the Community Shield, but i don't think they are going to win the EPL, City are the strong favorites to win the EPL again this season, remember that when City lost the Community Shield last season, they went on to win the treble.

I think it can also be an advantage to have a game like that very early. They don't have anything to lose and they can find out what their own condition is. Indeed, at least it will be certain that Manchester City will still win in this match and I don't care, whether Manchester City will win with a big score or only with a low score. Because after all, Burnley do not have the quality to be able to beat Manchester City even though indeed, Burnley will play at home. Sometimes starting from the hardest can make a team find a better mentality in the next matches against clubs that are weaker than the first game. And for Burnley's first match I think this match will make Burnley lose points. But in the second match against Luton Town it is likely that Burnley will return to get full points.
