Arteta will definitely try to compete with Guardiola, but my guess is that Arsenal will have a downturn at some point. You see how Guardiola brings the team to the peak, at the beginning of the season they don't always have the best game, but towards the end of the season they reach their optimal form and I think this is a very correct strategy.

Arsenal, on the contrary, started the season very well, but in the most crucial period, at the end of the season, they lost all advantage, conceded too many goals and as a result lost the championship to City. If Arteta does not change anything and everything repeats again, then most likely the result will be the same.

I think Arteta gained significant experience from last year and will warn his players about this. In first game of the season, as he gives tough time to team like Manchester City this is impressive and now most chances pundits will also feel good about their end of the next season hopefully now he will change his way with learn from his mistakes which done in last season.

I wonder how Burnley will play against Man City.... Burnley are new this season and they immediately fell to the most difficult opponent in the EPL, especially after losing the Super Cup... Of last season's newbies, only Nottingham Forest remain... It will be interesting to see if Burnley can repeat such success....

I think it can also be an advantage to have a game like that very early. They don't have anything to lose and they can find out what their own condition is. If they lose that game big time, nobody will really care that much and they would rather play against Manchester City on the first day of the season than on the last day of the season when it might be a decisive game in the fight for the safe ranks in the table.

Can't wait to see how the game between Chelsea and Arsenal will end. It could end in a horrible start for one of the teams, but a draw would also be disappointing although I guess both teams would be ok with it after the results of last season.

At least, the opening match will be a match between last season Premier League title winners against last season Championship title winners. Indeed, at least it will be certain that Manchester City will still win in this match and I don't care, whether Manchester City will win with a big score or only with a low score. Because after all, Burnley do not have the quality to be able to beat Manchester City even though indeed, Burnley will play at home. I don't think so, Newcastle haven't made a lot of changes this season, nor have Arsenal in fact Arteta's side have added a lot of strong players and they have a fairly even squad now between the starting line-ups and also the back-up, so I think it's going to be like this season then if Arsenal will be much stronger than Newcastle.

While Tottenham haven't made many changes for next season, I'm a bit pessimistic this team will be able to compete at the top flight.

It's a new challenge for burnley to come back to EPL again and it's gonna facing manchester city in the opening match. Kompany must be thinking so hard about how to get at least 1 point against manchester city. In fact, if we are seeing the quality of players owned by either of clubs and i wanna say if manchester city far above burnley in everything. Burnley can hope if it will not lose full points against manchester city or it will be a bad opening match for burnley. I wonder what kind of strategy used by kompany to face manchester city very soon.
Losing in the community shield cup was nothing for city. It has another target to be reached at the end of the season to get treble winners again. Burnley must have fully prepared its mentality to face manchester city.

The improvements that have occurred in the Arsenal squad cannot be separated from several new players, such as Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber. Being played as a starter made Arsenal's squad more solid, even though they conceded first to Man City. Arsenal benefited from the new regulations regarding injury time, with the additional time they could equalize until the match ended in a penalty shootout.

But I think apart from that, appreciation should be given to Arteta for winning the 2023 Community Shield trophy. The EPL will start in a few days, this weekend to be precise, can't wait to see the competition in the first week.

Barcelona's past record against Tottenham is quite good. Barcelona have won two and drawn one of their last three matches. Harry Kane and Son's performance in all three matches was very good. Harry Maguire is the player who makes the most individual mistakes at Manchester United. If a goal is scored as a result of his mistake, Onana gets very angry. The fact that he was bought for that much money and even captained is still beyond crazy to me. That dude is not a good player and he does mistakes no defense should make and he should have been gone long time ago. Like for example if they sold him last summer, would that really made any difference? Like what did they get out of him all year long this summer? I do not think that they got anything major if you ask me at all, they got nothing out of keeping him.

So, it's good that he is leaving now, and I think they could focus on the defenders they have a lot better this way, getting rid of him as an option does make it easier to put more effort on who they have to be better and give them more time without a doubt.

On their official website, Tottenham announced the signing of Alejo Velis. The contract with the central striker has been signed until the summer of 2029. It looks like a hint to Kane that there is already a replacement for him, but I don't think that Kane will react much to such actions. I also read today that Kane has issued an ultimatum to Tottenham that if no agreement is reached with Bayern by the end of the week, he will remain at Tottenham until the summer of 2024 and then leave the team as a free agent.

Not the best option for Tottenham as they have a choice of getting 100m for Kane now or he will just leave in a year and Tottenham will be left with nothing. Kane can be understood, leaving the team after the start of the season is an extra difficulties that he wants to avoid.

Gundogan wanted to try out a new challenge elsewhere, so he rejected the offer of a new contract from City, Mahrez also felt like it was time for him to leave Europe, he has achieved everything he could have dreamt of, what do you expect City to do, stand in the way of these players? Of course no, City sell players who do not want to remain in the club. If you stop players from leaving against their will, you create an uncomfortable enviroment in the club.

Congrats to Arsenal for winning the Community Shield, but i don't think they are going to win the EPL, City are the strong favorites to win the EPL again this season, remember that when City lost the Community Shield last season, they went on to win the treble.

For me Man City by losing Gundogan and Mahrez will not weaken their attack, Man City players can always create opportunities for goals.
