One questions to all the experienced guys here, i dont understand why in this round when Garnacho dont play and i have a midfielder in the bench (Almiron) the automatic substitution makes in a defender (Burn)?

In this case was only one point of difference but thinking for the future, why its this way?

Another terrible week for me and dropped more points. I have to do better in the coming GWs. I don't know how Y'all do it with your selections and get those high points.

QQ: Why is everyone using their wild cards now? I thought it was better used in Double game weeks? Or am I missing something? (sorry if it has been asked before).

This is not the moment to use the wildcard, but if you're up against a bad squad, it's better to be safe than sorry. To be honest, your team is mediocre; you won't last long with such a team. However, you shouldn't use the wildcard until after the international break. So don't worry, there's still time to turn things around.

Wasn't Burn in your initial team selection? You played a 5-3-2 formation right? I'm trying to wrap my head around your question.

Burn was your first sub and 5-3-2 is a valid formation. It will always be your first sub from the bench unless you can't play that formation. You must have at least 3 def, 3 mid and 1 att on pitch at all times. Hope it is clear if not let me know and I will try to explain again.


Looking forward to explaining price rises and falls and how you only get half the amount of rises when inevitable questions come later in the season.

Yes! for what Haaland has done he's worthy candidate for Ballon d'or this year and I don't think that is a topic that should up for a debate, perhaps their other candidates too, but Haaland is definitely top there for this year too.

If I'm not mistaken Ballon d'or is awarded not based on technicality it's and based on outstanding performances, and how is Haaland not in that category for this year ?  He swept the awards in EPL and scored the most goals in europe top 5 leagues last season, in the toughest league of them all right ? at that only 8 players in EPL had more assists than Haaland the league last season too, and UCL was another quest his team conquered in his maiden season, finishing as the top scorer as well. For all what Haaland as done in in those 8 months, I'd say damn his technically deficiencies, he's already what his coach and team needs him to be.

We'll have a conversation about Halaand's football ability one day, and I think I'll enjoy it.

Yeah, I'd agree that every one find it very obvious that Haaland is not even as technically gifted as some other center forward in the lower teams currently in the EPL, I'd say the likes of Isak and Darwin Nunez are literally more technically gifted than Haaland, but we must always remember that Haaland was brought into the Man City's fold to be nothing  but their goal poacher which has been a missing piece in the team for a long while, in my opinion, he is doing his primary assignment and obligation to uttermost perfection, I don't know what more could be asked of him especially for a player who just turned 23 years about a month ago.

Sure, why not? I wanted Kante to get it in his best season.
For me, the best players aren't necessarily the ones with the best technical abilities, it is the ones that change their teams for the better.

Haaland is doing fantastic things for City - and City is the best football team in the world. Yeah, Foden and Grealish are technically way above Haaland, De Bruyne is on a level of his own, but Haaland was unstoppable and was the difference for City in most games last season.

I think he deserves it - although I'd give the last 20 or so to Messi.

but there is also national teams that have part in Ballon d'Or, and Haaland is there in unchartered teritory, showing that he can't change team for a better, without plenty of teammates that are playing great football

with national team, he is having troubles even with smaller countries, and get regularly beaten by top teams

Yeah, he performed amazing last year with his match point goals, and he deserves all of the personal awards he received in the league, but if I'm not mistaken, the Ballon d'or power rankings are determined based on club and country performance, and here is where Messi and Mbappe beat over Halaand in the list. Not to mention that Halaand ghosted in every major match and cup final for Manchester City last season.

He's still young, and his time will come, but I don't believe he deserves the Ballon d'Or this year. Rodri deserves to be higher up than Halaand, but people no longer watch football because they are more interested in the goal scorer than the creators.

Kante's best season was undisputed, he conquered both club and country football and was up against the Great, I can't blame him for not winning. But I can't say the same for Halaand.

Playing fantasy for the first time is still in the experimental stage which I have now begun to understand and a little wrong to take some players at the beginning.

Next season in fantasy I will not retreat.

The pool that I'm really enjoying the most is this one. Because instead of making score predictions like 1-0, 2-1 like in the other pools, you are in a situation to deal with everything about the game. By the way don't get me wrong. A player can be very successful in their first season as well. However I think that this will be much more difficult for a rookie player. We have just finished the 3rd week. Even Kanapka who is in the last place of the table can be the 1st by far by a good performance at the end of the season.

Why? E. Halaand against Fulham this weekend is a good captaincy choice. The second option I could think of is Sterling/Jackson against Nottingham Forest.

Don't know why that is happening to you. I need to log couple of times per season, not sure when it happens and why but it is so rare that I never know my password.

I believe that is something due to your setup. Any new antivirus, trojan remover or VPN software installed when that started? Or maybe private browsing? Seems to me you installed something that removes cookies/temp files from your machine and in process makes you login that often.

Ballon d'or winners are usually players who are able to make a huge difference whenever their team play against big teams in big competitions, Haaland is a good goal scorer just like Lewandoski, but in big games, his influence is usually small and he can play a full game with very little touches which does not make him a standout player.

Players who are eligible for the Ballon d'or to me are players who can carry the whole team when there is a need for it especially in crucial games, not just players who are just the finishers to creative opportunities created by other players of which Manchester City is blessed with.

I think European achievements play a very big role, and this is where I see a city player bagging it, especially for the fact that they made history for Manchester City in UCL. Haaland putting the EPL top scorer record to shreds with ease after so many years.

But of course it's going to be about popularity, publicity as usual, and they will just hand it over to Messi because of the world cup because club wise, Mbappé edged him.

Man City have have had all these creative players for long, but it's has never brought them the UCL trophy and Haaland might look isolated in some games, perhaps big ones too, but if you look at it from a logical perspective he's being watched and marked by 2 to 3 players, and that makes the job easier for his teams mates to find others when he's being the target man, but when he's in position to deliver he does exactly what's expected of him, and the number of times he's on defensive duty during set pieces too should not to be taken for granted.

What do you consider as crucial games, because Haaland scored 5 goals in 7 appearance against the "big six" of the premier league last season, and his team won 4 of those games, he didn't score in two games which was one against Chelsea and another against Liverpool.

In the UCL, of Haaland's 12 goals 7 of them came after the group stages, because he didn't in certain games doesn't mean he played way below average, it was more of the coach's decision to get conservation in a number of those games. I don't think it was just an ordinary coincidence that allowed Man City win the UCL after the arrival of Haaland.

Somehow it was also supposed to be his week against Sheffield United too, but if it wasn't for his clutch goal, then it would've been his bad day.

Whereas West Ham demolished Chelsea and Brighton with a 3-1 scoreline (Bowen had goal involvements in both matches), so it is not inconceivable for him to haul against Luton.

I'm shocked that his price has not gone up actually.

Yeah, Bowen can go. His being phenomenal for his team through last the course of last season and you could tell his got his belly fired up for this season as well. If you ain’t hoping on Halaand to score a brace or a hat-trick, it wouldn’t make a lot of difference having K. Bowen as your captain in contrast to E. Halaand. Besides, we can all tell E. Halaand is having a lot of struggles getting the balls at the moment, to a point he even missed a penalty, that’s how it’s the game is played on his subconsciousness and the many defense line mounted on him. Though it might help the team like Harkorede stated but, the team isn’t what we are after in FPL is it? No.

Bowen still a good choice but, can’t say if his the best choice. Either ways, both remains promising.
