So Gibson my got site for no nonsence assembly level security tools has releast a simple Meltdown and spectre test.

All you intels guys are gonna fail the meldown and spectre (probally) if you don't fail post what youve done to protect yourself and what your performace cost was (apparently its pretty high).

And you AMD guys will probally all fail the spectre test only (same thing about performace loss with protecting from it but it is not nearly as bad as intel.

I have been waiting to buy one, Im past the point I should.

Yep same one.  They are back ordered until March and the price has gone up.  If there are further delays the open source wallet just might sneak out first though.  I managed to sneak my order in when they were stating limited stock remaining, and I will buy a bunch of the open source units when they are available, to mostly give away.

I didn't pay much attention at the time, but my take away was this: It was difficult to do, so they rage quit.  Then JAXX was found to be insecure, so nobody cared.

Jaxx Devs were inadequate to the task so they attempted to get XMR Devs to do the work for them on their for profit wallet without offering compensation and Monero devs told them they could stick their wallet where the sun don't shine (after they had attempted to help them) and we have never been happier.

Ohh yeah since then they proved how incompetent they are and lost people tons of money as explorer pointed out. ^^^

Monero is a badass coin.  I'll tell you that.  The anonymity element is going to really create some challenges for governments trying to shut things down.

Just wait until we have bulletproofs! This will even further extend Monero's dominance as being the ultimate privacy coin.

I use LTC for transfers between exchanges and XMR is the ultimate privacy coin, if that means I've smoked some troll stash and listen to Nerdvana so be it!

By the way, LTC has only ever made me money if I've kept it to trade. You know, for coins like XMR.

Bought dollars for 200 just in case, but suddenly grow up. The coin is quite old, but it has proven itself well. Does anyone know such coins on this algorithm?
