To your opinion, what is optimal price for enter for long period (6 months - year)?

It was yesterday.

What's happening now? All the Crypto currency has gone into disgrace. And our coin Monero did not remain indifferent. Too very much sagged. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Time to buy or worth the wait?
Now everything falls heavily and why this coin would not fall, it too will certainly fall. In this coin has a great future and is worth it to buy any fall and to always keep as a backup against btc. I hope to merge with ltc and production of new coins will be reflected positively on the price of the coin.

This is impossible.

So do you think market will recover and we wouldnt see drops more?

We will always see drops but if you mean do I think we have hit the floor then all I can say is I do not know. But I am guessing that 190 was the floor. But with this institutional money invested now all bets are off and no-one can tell for certain except the market makers themselves.

What do you mean by institutional money? Do you mean the Bitcoin futures? How can they control the price?

Answered here.

You know that, for example, Windows is closed source, right?

That's why we opt to use open source alternatives. In any case, are you comparing your basically non-existent reputation with M$'s? That's rich. Why should anyone with two brain cells run your miner?

If you'd rather use open source alternatives, by all means, go for it.  No need to get so mad.

I doubt your this dense if your writing miners so you obviously are just pushing an agenda so welcome to the ignore list and I hope you don't scam anyone from here.

Earlier bitcoin was so important not only because his price increase very fast.
He was a gate to crypto trading world. Today there are a lot of other crypto like Monero, LTC, BCH, ETH and others . you can buy them, send to exchanges for trading or hold them for future sell. Altcoins today must be more independent from Bitcoin price.

Hi guys! I was not here for a long time, a year or so. I am just feeling WTF. Look at Monero mining pool hashrate chart:

http://minexmr.com/pools.html

The hashrate increases dramatically in few days, while Monero price has fallen down a lot.

But the most terrifying thing is that 70% of 900MH/s are... UNKNOWN.

Is this real apocalypse of Monero? Look, 70% is much more than 51%.

Unknown means it is up to your interpretation. Regardless, your best, most effective recourse is to mine yourself, and facilitate others to do so as well.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.  Give a man a Poisson distribution and he eats at random times independent of one another, at a constant known rate.

It's probably just botnets. There is almost no reason for a botnet operator to mine anything other than monero so probably 70-90% of all botnet miners are mining monero. Also botnet operators are moving away from ransom-ware and into mining instead because it tends to be more profitable. A lot of ransom-ware attacks go unpaid and its a one time deal even if they do pay, where as a compromised computer or IOT device can silently mine monero indefinitely supplying a passive reliable revenue stream. It's reasonable to expect the might of the worlds botnet armies to outpace legitimate miners when they are all piling head first onto our little old project.

I don't disagree, we're slowly starting to edge away from BTC's dominance over the entire marketplace with more fiat gateways opening up all the time and this can only be a positive thing for crypto in the long-run I think. Seems there will be some teething issues in the meantime, but independence is coming most certainly.

Wow, this is a very scary guess. I hope it just remains as a guess and if it becomes reality, there will be more blood on streets.

Not just botnets but also some pools that minexmr.com did not count them and solo miners and ...    I suspect this unknown % will just keep increasing.

Wireshark packet analysis? Or maybe catalog and make sure you know the purpose and function of all of the running processes in top? I bet you could even write a script to filter out all the processes that you know what they do and only report ones you haven't cataloged yet.
