i think you can save 100Bitcoin
in 2036 i think bitcoin price can reach $100.000 you can buying anything with your 100bitcoin

Where does this number come from 100k?

My goal though is to get around 100 bitcoins in 10 years, 200 bitcoins in 20 years
Then I will start selling.

I need is 100,000 BTC at a price of $ 1000 for 1 BTC, we need a lot of money before retiring friend, it will make us a nice old days  Smiley

what on earth makes you need 100,000 btc at $1000 to retire? 100,000 coins at current price is already worth $43,000,000.

It is good plan to take early retirement by holding some bitcoins for some years.Bitcoin is going to be traded in umbtc as unit and what I expect it will be equal to current price. At least 5 bitcoins will help you to get a comfortable life with some permanent source of income by your wealth form bitcoin.

IF it succeeds... I believe you will need around 100 bitcoins to retire comfortably. You will need multiple millions of dollars to feasibly retire at that age given how long you would likely live, inflation, ect.
I think you do not need to get a lot of bitcoin to retire, because the price of bitcoin 20 years to come it may be very high
bitcoin age of 7 years, the achievement of bitcoin was very wonderful, perhaps 20 yrs bitcoin prices will explode, you only need a few possible 1-3 BTC

I think 100 bitcoins will bring you very far. Maybe you already there to be a millionare and live of interest etc.

It all depends if and when we get mass adoption by consumers and merchants.

That's true, but I mean look at it this way though, we are basing our predictions of how much we would need based on the purchasing power of fiat as of right now. You have to think of how much inflation will be in 20 years from now, plus be able to realize that there might be a possibility of the whole fiat system going down the tubes. Any one who knows a little bit about what the Central Banks are doing can understand that the way they are doing things, simply cannot be sustained over a very long period of time.

So what I'm trying to say, is that unless you have a magic crystal ball laying around where you can accurately predict all this stuff, we will never know until the time comes.

At one time I had 255 coins. I dumped them all into Bitcoin mining hardware that only lasted about 6 months. Not one of those machines fired up this year. I say all that to say... Buy and hold... Don't be seduced by the dark side of alt coins. Get one coin immediately. Secure your wallet, make a backup wallet, test the backup wallet. Stay away from exchanges for storage. Buy a little bit every week... 50 bucks a week won't kill you... And watch your money grow... Exponentially!

So bought the hardware about 2-3 years ago? At that time, the difficulty rose very fast. The machines are not efficient now.

I changed my mind so if you have 500-1000BTC in the near future can result in millions of dollars if the price hits 1k to 2k, so maybe 1million you can retire, but in 20 years count a zero less so around 50-100BTC

15 if you want to have fun on the rise through the years.  Only one would be brutal because there will be times you want to take profits.  Also dependent would be the area you live and what you want to do in retirement.

I love Bitcoin

A lot. The price of Bitcoin isn't just going to shoot up like that. Just try to get as many as you can.

Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?
20 years? 0.7 ~ 0.07 BTC

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.
