Save as many as you can and then hold them.
It's not sure if the price will spike to 10k or so, but it will spike.

With more bitcons you will earn more.

100 Bitcoins should do the trick I think.

Anything more would make your investment too risky, anything less could mean you could not maximize your profits.

It will be hard to get to hold 100 bitcoins, for me it would probably never happen, but I will make sure to get as many as I can.

As long as there are actual usage of bitcoin, people will use that coin. So the price will rise. That is similar to US dollar which is used to buy oil.

You can hold 60% of the coin and use 40% of the coins whenever you can. That will make bitcon useful and the value will rise.

With current price, BTC100 would be nothing if you are to retire...
We don't know what the future will be, as it is uncertain...
But one thing is for sure that we are definitely going to enter the sky during these years, if not months...
So, BTC100 could also help one to retire if the price reaches x10 or x100 from where it is at, currently...

Absolutely! Nobody is saying that 100 BTC will be enough to retire at current prices. We are talking about 20-25 years from now when the the price will be much higher. As I said before, I think the price will be around $10k at the time.

you must assume that the bitcoin will grow otherwise it would be completely pointless to retire with bitcoin, isn't it.... just keep your fiat if that the case

range 1-100 btc is all good for everyone assuming 10k value as a minimum target, i'm sure it's reacheble

Bitcoin doesnt have to grow, it could nothing at all but retain value.  Just doing that would surprise many and alot of savings are put into gold which has no ability to grow as just a metal it sits there where the world changes it does nothing but retain value presumably.

As dollar constantly lose value, bitcoin would appear to rise but gain no advantage and nothing close to a successful business investment

Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?

"Hold on i just need to get my magic ball out here"  the price of bitcoin in 20 years could be worth millions, or it could be worth nothing and anything in between.  no one can really tell,  i hope as you that it is the former.  buy a few just incase.

Yes but without gaining/losing value people will think it's a below average currency which is not interesting for investors.
And thus it could start losing value again.

The price of bitcoin has to rise to attract interest. People are interested in the appreciation of money or investments.

To be safe at least have more that 50 bitcoin I think that will be just great.
Also if you live somewhere that the daily live just cost 5 dollars I think is nice to retire there.

When you are old you don't spend a lot of money.

If I may say I think that more than 25 bitcoin I think that will be enough.
Only for people that they a re old and don't go out that much.

When you are still 30 and want to retire I think you need more than 150 bitcoins.

Get as much as you can. That would be my advice. You never know what bitcoin will be worth in 20 years or so.
So it's best to get as much as you can get and just hold for now, don't spend it until you're going to retire.

I agree with this.
More bitcoin is a bigger chance to win big. And yea also a bigger chance to lose big.
Believing in bitcoin and it's potential makes me think the first thing will happen.

if you ask about this on early 2011 or 2012,i think you dont need too many bitcoin for your retire on 20 years later, but if you ask nowdays, you need big amount of bitcoin,i think 1000 bitcoin is not enough, now the price is about $450 and its not too expensive when traded to Dollar.

I do agree with you. I think this year, halving will tell us a lot about future of bitcoin. I am still working on my 1. bitcoin. Hope to get there soon. One thing for sure, I am not giving up.
