Can someone explain to me why the XC mixing method does not mix coins? Wouldn't that make XC fundamentally broken?

The mixer does mix coins. It's been tested many times.
However coins that don't go through the mixer don't get mixed. Pretty simple.

ATCSecure?

First tell dev to post md5 of  whateverattached_senderaddress.
Keep saying " ~ is not the address".

Not interested in.

+ tell dev, change address is yours.

WRONG - that change address is not related to the real source address

here is another one....

same tx

Grin

First tell dev to post md5 of  whateverattached_senderaddress.

If he knows the address he should post it...

ATC is right not to post the MD5, someone could write a scrypt scanning the blockchain for all used addresses & checking there MD5.
With both start & begin addresses finding the route between is easy.

If md5 posted it should be in a encrypted file we can all download first. After the answer has been given, release the password.

there is no need, when/if somebody posts the address, I will provide the details to the other side of the transaction which will either prove they are correct or prove they are wrong

like this 'tuuiuauiyduayidsyauiydsaiuydsiuayd_[real_address]_lkjlkajslkdjalksjdalskdjalkjdsalkdjalks'

and post result.

Then when I submit address, Dev should tell input of whatever hash.

Really? Good to know.

Anyway, You want hard link, that two address of mixer are connected.
Right ?

yes

Then code is right. Sending to real payee works good.

Problem is received coins are reused.

Proof :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=631052.msg7254769#msg7254769

I have to prove two address is related.
XPpRHV6hWFDnQvNhu7WaRy6h6KfGkmx9Hb === XFY3XchgfA16dFv9pFVDTpCGg2q7TWUNtC

Right ?

ah but the received coins that are re-used at not from that transaction, it is from an earlier transaction through the mixer, so a different SENDER

Right. not from that transaction.

Used address by Mixer is related after all.

In this case, txs are fewer, so very clear.

It's related after 10 ~~ many blocks after.

So I call it flaw.

Ah, so there is no provable direct link

thank you

okay show me the proof of link?

I'd like to see somebody match input/outputs on the last transaction I posted...
I don't think anyone will be able to. But is the bounty only 100 XC...or about 0.15 BTC?
Saw some members putting up a lot larger bounty sums up before. If maketing is in place & ATC had some more time for additional coding this could go viral....

http://cryptexplorer.com/block/1f986c7643436e328456252db9d0def76a97f9c2bae10e3ee73a9d427f8f149f

somebody is trying to make a link AFTER the fact LOL

sending 0.03 to both address's doesn't count as a LINK

but thanks for the XC's

Let's post this here before Chaeplin claims that there is a link...

He's trying to make a fake link on the blockchain...

Analyzing XC mixer transaction by spamming.

Dev refused bounty.

http://cryptexplorer.com/address/XVrqrpe2ZDmykAnjcAHN6McbuDEjBZSvRZ

There is the wallet that received a mix transaction...

lets start with this wallet that received a payment from the mixer
and we can walk through it backwards

I'll make it easy

this is the received mix transaction

http://cryptexplorer.com/tx/9bc580ea9b7ec69d53dbc28e9cc42f1ea810925137d6cc8c1011e904f7c18bac#o0

and you have address XZvkTGD9hMiRuMByqCkHgRTNAu5J5fWnJV - which made the payment

Okay so we know 2 things, XZvkTGD9hMiRuMByqCkHgRTNAu5J5fWnJV  SENT a payment to XVrqrpe2ZDmykAnjcAHN6McbuDEjBZSvRZ

now - can that be tied back to the original transaction?Huh

Hmm. I don't see any link back to the original transaction

maybe this will help

original transaction --->>>> which was sent TO this address "XYyMMG1VQHyRhAQWGdRQ9AEfdwSuG7w18G"

http://cryptexplorer.com/address/XYyMMG1VQHyRhAQWGdRQ9AEfdwSuG7w18G

so now I've revealed the transaction ^^^^^ with this data you should be able to find the original senders wallet ^^^^^^ then take that original senders wallet and search XVrqrpe2ZDmykAnjcAHN6McbuDEjBZSvRZ for the link

what is his point? the mixer address [output] used for this transaction is visible? well of course it yes, we aren't using quantum physics to send the coins, the issue is the mixers input address and original senders output address

since we provided the "last leg"of the TX, he can only back trace to the mixer itself, so far he has NOT Proven anything else

So when you send from original address A to the receiving address D , it goes to the mixer B, the mixer makes a new address C to send the amount to the receiver D? And Chaeplin doesn't get only A?

And chaeplin is adding that the mixer only uses one address for you, so once you know A, you can trace it. Which is what I said before. You have to assume A is known.

that is not how the mixer work's

The highlevel summary is this

The mixer tells the client to send coins to wallet b, however wallet C is used to send coins to the final user, there is NO link from wallet B to wallet C unless somebody manually moves the coins from C to B

seeing how the inputs at http://cryptexplorer.com/address/XYyMMG1VQHyRhAQWGdRQ9AEfdwSuG7w18G are unspent, you can't - it is impossible

ah, somebody is spamming that address w/ transactions 0.003 and 0.03

It's me, sorry.

Now you get my point.

XYyMMG1VQHyRhAQWGdRQ9AEfdwSuG7w18G is a NEW address aka wallet b.

chaeplin's point is that the user is depositing i XC into a new unspent output, which is not moved. Then sometime later but not excessively far in the future i pops out at some other address. He says that this is a link and is correct. The dev wants a physical path to follow when there isn't technically one, yet there is still a path. You just have some patience and some scripting experience.

That is what I gathered, anyway.

Didn't Chaeplin just send those amounts to both addresses after ATC revealed them?

Yup.

Chaeplin couldn't solve ATC'c challenges.
