Unfortunately, based on the update for Poloniex I attempted to send some XCR there, but it never made it.  Looks like their wallet is still not working.

Why not XCR and other coins? :| From what they said 'only' BTC was stolen.

I tested it and for me nothing is up. I can login but NXT withdrawal is deactivated.

I dont know for sure, but I have my suspicions about the more popular coins.   Because the exchanges will always have SOME coins, especially the popular ones,  they can sell the coins to the market on other exchanges, use the money for operating expenses, and be pretty sure that they can buy them back someday for cheap.

The garbage coins, like Meow Coin, have been sold by the exchanges knowing that the coin was going to evaporate and become worthless

At least one exchange claimed a BTC hack a year ago, and then went away with a "Sorry, the coins are gone"

It is more likely that the BTC was sold into the market for the use of the exchange owners.

There was a report yesterday that the investigation into the Mt Gox theft, shows it was an inside job.

When Mintpal went under, I lost not only some BTC, but 250,000 Jackpot coins and some other misc alt coins.  The theft was reported to be just he BTC.  WHat happened to the alt coins?   Were they sold by the exchange?

If BTER will return all the coins it will be good for Crypti cause of distribution (no more 65 mil wallet).

And I hope when people will set up their own delegates this will create some more action and more active community.

The only reason why there is more movements in Nodecoin thread - cause they give some coins for free during the fist stages of destribution.

Go go crypti!

Good. I will test it tomorrow, to look how long it takes. Smiley Maybe they are taking the secure way first, to see if everything is working.

Faucet address -34.12973969 XCR  Embarrassed

About 2 hrs ago some one was "click slamming" the faucet.  There were 2,3, & 4 hits on the faucet for every block. Thats a rate of 100-200 a minute, or about 12000 an hour.

So Boris took the 73500 XCR that was left out.

We will be discussing the faucet problem and will post our solution.

Basically in our weekly meeting we noted that it looked like someone was running a script or something against the faucet. So Boris is going to review the data and see what he thinks and if we need to take additional precautions. As William said, we will update you guys when we come to a decision.

On Polo, you can see 41 SELLS of 100 XCR last night at 700 sats........ that was the hacker.  He sent the XCR from each wallet to Polo and dumped it.  Total 4100 XCR........ 2.8 million SATS...... $4 USD.

SO nice of him to point out the flaw in the faucet code!!  You meet such nice people on the web!!  How Precious ! ! ! !

I don't feel using a faucet is in our best interest. I honestly don't see many benefits. The fact that they can be so easily exploited is another problem.
Have we ever thought about running a twitter campaign? I remember a member from pandacoin messaging me and telling me that i would receive X amount of pandacoin for a promo.
I feel like faucets attract members with a low amount of capital, if even that. Who really waits for a faucet...

If we send crypti to people that have expressed interest in similar coins that might get a buzz going for this coin.

"@PND_Tip tip 500 @xxxx Have some Pandacoins Smiley http://pandacoinpnd.org/PND_Tip/"
Oh, it wasn't a promo. It was a tip bot.

If we did something like this with "learn more about crypti @ www.blah.com"

Maybe there is more behind the use of faucets than i know... Any thoughts?

We will rule the world... bit by bit.
