Really quite sick of seeing people from NXT throwing shit in NEM related threads. The hypocrisy of it is annoying and it is otherwise just simply pathetic.
saying NXT "probably" consisted largely of sockpuppets is a massive understatement. The number of sockpuppets the NEM devs managed to remove was a big eye opener to how greedy and self centered most people are on BTT (which is of no surprise really as BTT is a small community).
Money talks, bullshit walks. One thing you can guarantee is most people did their utmost to own the biggest nxt share possible. Probably just a few Bitcoin whales looking for a toy to play with.
Would be a fair assumption that most of those 70 holders was actually significantly less in terms of unique people.
The biggest problem with nxt is not the distribution. It is what followed. Like their "marketing" (1) How "nxt" will help poor people. (2) Anti-US clips (snowden and crap) (3) Promoting features that are not implemented yet and might never and probably will not ever get implemented (4) Stealing copyrighted videos and stamping nxt logo on them And has anybody kept track of how many scams and thefts occurred on that platform? It is a very large number I am sure. NEM does #1 and #3 also. There are members in the NEM community that are just as bad as some members in the NXT community. Like some average joe who wants to make it sound like he is from Nevada, hiding behind the trees of British Columbia, socking all over with new names and having verbal diarrhoea, hopping from one project to another project? Yes, the entire crypto community should rid of these low lying scum bags and shit up characters. In any case, these are the people who are preventing the growth of the crypto economy. Don't know why they need to be here. They should be in some mental institutions instead. My analysis is they are all failures in life. Not probably, they are. I don't live in British Columbia. Don't want to know and don't care. By the way, nice personal attack MR.Altnemo. Please show a post of mine where I have personal attacked anyone from the NEM community.

These are the people in charge of the funds, it's up to you to decide if you trust them. This information plus more is in the nemesisData file in the nem-infrastructure-server-0.6.28-BETA jar.
That is pretty accurate. But it is soon changing and Saul is also a signer on some of the accounts. The results come from breaking down the Sustainability Fund into its smaller individual funds. Also, we realize that anyone person can't ever be trusted in crypto, and that is the point that those funds were all put in N of N multisig. So you don't have to trust all of us, you need only trust that at least one person in each group is being honest and diligent. Furthermore this funds are being set aside to fuel some pretty cool projects that we hope will make NEM a much greater and much more valuable platform. Everything is right. I all attacking from NXT said for a long time about it that nobody owns alone funds of development, and that all funds are protected multi-signatures. Anybody alone won't be able to steal a coin. Show this picture all attacking from NXT more often that they saw as actually affairs are. I would would like to become CoSigner for funds, but I am afraid to bring team and not so well I know English, it is necessary to translate from English into Russian and from Russian into English. Russian my national language. Because of it from time to time there is a misunderstanding. But if I in perfection knew English that would ask for CoSigners in order that it was visible to the trolls attacking from NXT that funds all under protection of good people. It is possible to rely on me I for honesty, conscience, justice, true democracy!

Let's all agree that crypto distribution in general is shit. Why? Because very few people are interested in crypto, and much less are interested in anything but BTC.

Guys, lets stop with the Nxt - NEM trashing. It really doesn't bring anything. This is not the Nxt thread but rather the NEM thread. Let's keep it on course.

You are right, but NXT is still much more distributed than Bitcoin for instance. What is the definition of well or equally distributed? NEM has indeed a better distribution than most of the alts but only among under a few thousands of users, so that is not really a good distribution as well.

Everything is right. I all attacking from NXT said for a long time about it that nobody owns alone funds of development, and that all funds are protected multi-signatures. Anybody alone won't be able to steal a coin.
The question is not about stealing funds. The question is that 6 people, when you add their personal development stakes, future development, and unclaimed stakes ended up controlling 71 % of the coins. 50% of which are still not distributed. Remember they started with 25% development stake and that number ended up with 71%. As more of these coins are dumped in the market, prices would go lower and lower. Then wait until that 50% is sold and then buy XEM at half the price. Eadeqa... as for your other points... do we need to be reminded by Klee who had a "dog ate my homework" excuse for the NXT community fund "disappearing"? He's no longer a NXTer, so you have the greenlight from NXT to do character assassinations on him and probably he did steal that money, but allegations are difficult to prove. Cosigning funds are meant to prevent those "dog ate my homework" stories and so far they've prevented them in NEM.

This isn't true. Even if we ignore the fiasco about the unclaimed stakes, there are plenty of PoW and PoS coins that have similar and or even much distribution (mintcoin, nfd, node, crypti, or take auroracoin where the developer was honest and tried his best to distribute stakes by verifying ID). All these coins failed miserably, by the way.

There is no proof his intention was to deceive people, and just last week he burned the remaining premine coins as he promised two years ago https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=446062.msg11167491#msg11167491

I just redeemed my bitcointalk token, and it said the redemption was successful. But my wallet has been synced for several hours and I still don't see it in my balance. Anyone know why?

Here is the answer This is what it said. makoto: "UPDATE: The first batch of extended redeemers and cleared socks will be delayed somewhat as I am writing a paper (for NEM) and I need to focus on that. We'll try to send out the first batch around 4/26." Also, in the chat box he said that he would have time to do it this weekend, so that was another time he mentioned it. So it seems people will be getting their XEM then. When I was reading the chatbox on the NEM forum, I also noticed something else that was interesting. He said [Apr 23 06:56:53] makoto:If you don't already have 5 million XEM, I highly recommend going out and buying that amount [Apr 23 06:57:14] makoto:You'll see why in a few days Also another dev said [Apr 23 21:16:10] gimre:something cool is on the horizon These guys don't go around making comments like this all the time. Yes, NEM took forever to launch, but it was totally worth the wait. When these guys do something, they do it BIG. Look at what they just created!! Of course it took a year. Now that they have taken their time making sure that everything was solid and secure, I believe the term "were just getting started" was pretty much made for the times we're experiencing now. Were not even to V1 yet. I haven't sold a XEM, only bought more. I've BEEN excited. Patiently waiting for things to develop. I haven't made a post in a while, so I just want to take this time to thank the devs and the rest of the team. Great Job Guys!!!
