they are telling me that i have to describe the articles because they dont understand me. I told them they are electronic devices for mining bitcoins, and the girl didnt understand what it was.... i have to send an email.

Just tell them it's a specialized computer to do complex math calculations, without a power supply. Hopefully that will be easier for them to understand.

Technically, if you use the same payout address you could say that the two units form one computer for calculation and reporting purposes. That of course is taking some "artistic license" with phrases and subtle differences in meanings, but is basically true.

Got my 2 S3's today.  Thanks UPS and Bitmain.
The 1st one worked fine straight away.  The 2nd one had some 'jet lag', only one blade was reported and the hash rate was correspondingly about half.  Swapped power supplies, but that was not the issue.  Opened the cover, pushed the connectors of cables between the controller and hashing boards in, and now both blades come up.  Re-installed the cover, and it's still running both blades.
Average hash rate is about GH/s after almost 2 hours on the 1st one. The 2nd one is has similar performance, but did not have much time to stabilize yet.  Both running at default settings (frequency=218.75 MHz).
Had only a few beeps so far, nothing annoying.

well, sent the email, hope they accept it and now i will have to pay tomorrow a 21% of 680 EUR --> ~142 EUR + another small taxes

just out of curiosity, how does the rockminer R3 compare to the antminer S3 ?

cost is similar and its bit faster but does consume bit more power. Is that it ?

You really should of described it as computer electronics. The word bitcoin never helps. Also you can call it development hardware or something fancy. You can always tone it down and describe it as a computer board with a aluminum shroud and fans, it consists of chips, mosfets, and capacitors as many computers parts do.

Maybe this is not the best advice to give, but I know for sure it's more difficult explaining what a bitcoin asic is then vaguely claiming it's just some computer hardware.

it definitely consumes more power, and when it comes to GH vs Watt that's what seems to matter the most.
The biggest thing for rockminer is they shipped the R3 weeks ago so many people have had a head start with mining those units.

Can anyone tell me what to do when Miner Status page shows that BLADE 1 - 1 chip running, all other dead maybe?

Oh no, I didn't mean a reset.
It's just that many people confuse rebooting with restarting but you got it right.

If your miner always had this problem you could try to check for excessive use of thermal paste under the heatsink.
Members have reported mixed results after cleaning and reapplying thermal paste.

I had a similar issue on one of the S3s that arrived today.  One of the blades (2nd one) would not show on the status page of the web interface.  I took the cover off, pushed all the connectors of the 2 cables between the controller and the hashing boards into their sockets, and that seems to have rectified it (at least for now).  Maybe there is some workmanship/quality issue with these cables/connectors.  (see my post a bit earlier on this thread).
