I Like GEMZ ,just as a advertisment for BTC and crypto ill give it 10stars.There are a few issues i dont like of functionality though, like inviting friends is hard as i can only invite my chats and not my contacts. And i cant withdraw my GEMS?I read here its possible but i cant add a address to send too.Oh and if i hit backspace it deletes two letters.
All in all a nice app and a brilliant idea.

You can add contacts, just send them your referral addresss.

You can withdraw your gems, although I belive its a bit delayed as they are doing it manually for the time being.

On android you just hit send gems, then either scan QR or paste from clipboard.  (not sure how its set up on iphone)
Maybe my problems due to i tested it on Bluestacks android simulator.lol

Adding friends from contacts works for me, if u have ios you tap contacts and then invite friends then you can tap on the contacts you wnat to add, or just copy your referral in settings and send it to them and wth is bluestack android simulator?

I'll dump this shit if the next update is yet another sticker update thing...
Get real already and stop making excuses about delivering a bug free software, there's no such thing, and start working on advertising this thing already.

Enough is enough...

Mainstream advertising is effective once the on-boarding, retention and invite funnel are polished. The next release is focused on reducing friction. GetGems is more user friendly than other crypto wallets but there is still improvement to be done. We have been studying the analytics closely and you will be surprised how some things that are very obvious to crypto users are complicated to mainstream users.

We have connection to mainstream tech media and will use it at the right timing.

For the first time i played with the Android version on my brothers new samsung, to be honest i liked the store to buy stickers with Gems. He doesn't really care about bitcoin, how much i try to convince him so you can say he is the average joe, he actually liked buying sticker packs for 1 Gems and the free Gems he gets to buy the stickers, same with his wife asking me how to get stickers to send to her friends. Some care actually more about the store, buying stickers, gift cards then using Bitcoin, regarding how revolutionary the bitcoin technology is we can't forget some well known fun features mainstream likes and is familiar with.

Bingo, i'm glad you guys pay attention to this, which is something ignored by the fast majority of crypto projects who make the mistake of focussing too much on who got the most complicated feature and rather uninteresting for an average person, which gives again the struggle to expand the userbase.

I've been saying over the last few years that if I can't click on a file, open it and it just works you shouldn't expect anyone to use a coin apart from the 10,000 crypto geeks with IT degrees. So no it doesn't surprise me at all. There is a thinking that younger generation are tech savvy but it's completely false there are the vast majority that are familiar with idiot proof apps and software and a tiny minortiy that has a varying amount of knowledge how things work....a tiny minority. I'm more surprised how much developers assume the average user knows.

I am if honest a little concerned about the airdrop though as I assume creating a secure algorithm for this and for the advertising platform can't be easy. Any feedback in this area possible?

Wisdom right here!  Unfortunately too many devs these days don't understand this  Sad

Not sure if the dev team realizes how important notifications are for users.  All my iPhone users do not get notifications.  It keeps gems from being their main messaginging app and instead just a little toy they check periodically.   I was told it's fixed in next update but, I get a lot of complaints sent my way in the meantime.

One of the things people from outside the crypto circle will like is the store. I hope there will be a way for them to buy gemz directly from the app via credit card or debit card ( or maybe trough some kind of collab made with the app Circle who knows!).

I also hope there will be more interesting things to buy from the store as this project move forward.

Aniway This is definitely  a long term project so it is true that patience is required here.

This will be one of the best things if it would happen, eliminating the barrier to buy Gems for ordinary users would be a hell of an accomplishment. GG already has eliminated the first barrier which is getting their hands on the product which pretty much all Cryptos are still struggling with, now if they could make buying Gems more accessible, preferably before the AE goes live.

They need to be careful with that.  There is a reason it's hard to get crypto, because it's non reversible.

Personally I think if they just let advertisers buy gems and only use them for that purpose is the best way.  Then the gems are distributed to the users. If you let people buy and withdraw gems, it not only opens yourself up to fraud but is also breaking some play store rules I think.

If you only want to use Gems for the purpose of advertising only you would have to disable withdrawing Gems from the app i guess? And if i recall correctly this would allow buying Gems in-app with less obstacles? Tho how are Gemz going to be traded?

Not sure if allowing Gems to be used only in-app would make it easier to implement a purchasing option of Gems in-app.

No I still think gems could be traded etc.  Just if you buy gems in app, you must use them for advertising (or maybe buying stuff in the store).  You cant just buy, withdraw, then go convert to Bitcoin or whatever.  That would cause alot of chaos I believe. Users would still get the gems from the advertisers and will be free to do what they want with them afterwards.

I'm sure they are thinking this stuff through.

If you buy them in app i would guess they would be available in your wallet, not sure how you are going to restrict users from sending the buyed gems to other gg users or withdrawing them.

Not sure how it could work but can you imagine if people found out you could go from debit card to gems to whatever crypto.  There is a reason why no one does this.  Forcing the bought gems to be used in app would solve this.  I actually think I read something like this on an faq can't find it.

I don't know.  I'm sure they have it figured out

I must have missed something. Why would you want to prevent this?

For the same reason noone allows you to buy any crypto with credit cards?  Fraud... chargebacks? Why does average joe that doesn't want to advertise,  need to buy gems in app?

Do Gemzcoins represent the value/stakes of the Gemz entity/network? For instance, if one day Gemz is sold for $1 billion, how much will the Gemzcoins holders get for holding each Gemzcoin? From what I have read, it seems that Gemzcoins holders won't get anything in the above scenario because Gemzcoins donot represent the value/stakes of the Gemz entity/network.
