Do Gemzcoins represent the value/stakes of the Gemz entity/network? For instance, if one day Gemz is sold for $1 billion, how much will the Gemzcoins holders get for holding each Gemzcoin? From what I have read, it seems that Gemzcoins holders won't get anything in the above scenario because Gemzcoins donot represent the value/stakes of the Gemz entity/network. dude if Gemz the app was sold for a billion dollars the coins would be worth a hell of a lot, the coins are what is needed to pay users for using the app. So that would be the last of your concerns.

Not sure about that, not sure how it would work. I wonder if as GEMZ holders it would make it by default that we own a share of the company. I'd like to have a better answer coming from Peled

Not sure but might be because of the Bitcoin stress test that's going on? Why don't u use poloniex, from my experience it's a better exchange.

But i'm actually not sure if it's the right way for the value of Gemz representing the companies marketcap cus different factors play part. I don't think a companies marketcap is decided by just the value of their product?

Gems are not shares of the company. But if the company is successful they would surely be worth a good bit because of the demand.

I'm not sure if its that simple for GetGems, Gems are a means to buy attention and distribute revenue between users. I see no clause that prevents The GetGems team to change the model, introduce alternative coins or sell the user base to a third party who then changes the model. Best explained by D. Peled I guess but I don't think holding Gems makes you a share holder, it makes you hold a relative share in the revenue as long as the model exists. You got a point there, maybe you can't call them officially shares but you still have some interest, maybe we need a new term for it since this niche is pretty new.

Gems can represent multiple things, some like to use it as shares of the application, some use it as an in-app currency. It's pretty versatile where you can shape it for what purpose you want, but eventually they will be used more as the in-app currency to drive the whole economical network within the app.

The value of a Gem is based on the value of the network, ie, active users. Gems are not a security that gives you a fractional ownership of the GetGems "entity". Even though GetGems was financed by selling their private token for a fungible currency (Bitcoin) you didn't buy ownership. So, if GetGems is sold to Google for $1B your share would be 0. That is, unless GetGems issues a security (stock/counterpary asset) and your purchased those.

Go to https://blockscan.com/ and past the address you sent the gemz to and you can see the transaction, tap on tx_index of the transaction and you can give them the tx_hash. Tho i don't think the issue is from the app, it's from poloniex side cus people have trouble receiving other coins aswell.

That could be the case only if the Gemzcoin is the only currency. However, Getgems is a dual currencies system and Bitcoin is also the currency in this system and Bitcoin will be the dominate currency in it becasue btc has better liquidity.

This is what I have been wondering. I did not see a clear announcement that Gemzcoins are stock shares of GetGems company. My understanding is Gemzcoins are not stock shares of GetGems. The first round seeding investors got the company stock shares.
