There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I did notice an increase from the last block but still overall lower. We were around 53 or 54 ph last block, now that we are closer to 60,61 there are a bit more, but still lower than previous.

I have a few S9’s and a few S7’s. I also have 4 lonely outlets waiting for me to pick up 4 more miners to occupy them. With my electricity costs though I won’t be buying anything less than an S9 or 821.

Sometimes people point non-BTC miners at the pool ... which get all rejects and lots of them. That sometimes makes the total rejects look bad. Also, some people mine from inside China, and though most of the time that is OK, but of course is expected to have higher rejects, other times the GFW can cause havoc for them.

I have some analog, vacuum-tube gear and some of sidehack's 2Pacs and 808s running. On a good day, downhill, with a tailwind, I can hit 2TH.

Kano, would it be too much to ask for the year in the "block utc" column on the rewards page? Started logging data, helps with the sorting...

You can import it into minergain.com and the API will soon be running allowing you to get it back out with other info as well. That deals with the year for you

Done. Haha! I did a test and wouldn't you know it, the new date format is not recognized as a date now when pasted into a spreadsheet.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a "big player", based on the fact that I was SO late to this party, when it really only made sense to buy S9s in December when I got started. I set up a small farm in an old 1950s era dry cleaner that had 200 amps of service just waiting for someone to tap. I am now running 4x S9s and 3x T9s with 4x S9s enroute from Bitmain. Now that I'm a little better educated, I am hoping to scale with Avalons, but they don't really cater to small-scale miners unless you are in a position to pay for the markups through their distributors. A small consortium of Kano miners is combining resources, i.e. $, in hopes of getting enough people together to place an MOQ of 66x 821s direct through Canaan, so if we pull that off we will add about .72 PH/s to Team Kano. Happy Monday Mining to everyone!

Not a big player at all. 1 S9 8 Avalon 741 3 Avalon 741 in route. I use an old container that used to grow things. Expanding with profits so it’s going slow.

Already been tried, read over the last 20 or so pages. Kano tried buying 1Ph himself.
At time of writing I can load a cart with the MOQ of 3x lots of 20x 821s and start the checkout process. Now maybe that's as far as I would get, but assuming they validated the order then it appears that one buyer could purchase 60x 821s (66 to be exact since each lot includes 2x "free" units) for $120,825, including shipping. That works out to about $1830/miner. Not exactly a steal, but better than the prices from Canaan's approved resellers.
