no, you have to buy your own psu's.

Is it possible to use an old ATX power supply from the GPU mining era with some male barrel adapter like this one to power several bAsic?
https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10287

We need to know the size of the barrel connector.

Kind of like these?  Hint check sig......VVVV Wink

We need to know the size of the barrel connector.

Im pretty sure there will be both a barrel connector AND a 4pin molex like is on the MMQ. This way you can choose which to use.

Instead of speculating. Can't cablepair just confirm how this will work and make life easier for us.

Nice cables! I also like the ATX switch.

Now we need to know the power usage of the bAsic.

I had conference calls with the both the board designer and ASIC fabricator today. After doing some thinking I have decided to go with both a molex and DC barrel jack connector this will allow for a lot of different kinds of setups without using adapters - you can simply just choose one or the other. At this point the change was inconsequential and only added a few cents added cost per board, which would be cheaper and simpler than getting adapters.

Better?

Although the thread is a fine idea, all you had to do was ask.

Approximately 650 bASIC units have been pre-ordered.

I placed one of the first orders and it still says "bASIC 27Gh/s NextGen Bitcoin Miner" in the order details.
Do you keep track of who paid for which device? Because I should get the 54 GH/s device according to the amount I paid Wink

Yes, everyone who paid 1069.99 will get a 54Gh/s unit, during the shipping process we will take every single order and compare against the record with whatever payment processor you used to make sure the payment is valid and everyone get's what they are supposed to get (nothing less or more)

As far as ratio of 54/27 I can tell you the amount of 27's ordered is only like 50 something, so its significantly less. Although people are still ordering them little by little, people are actually still ordering ModMiner Quads believe it or not - I shipped out 4 of them yesterday (one of them was for the contest)
