0a) What to Expect (top)
The New RockMiner R-Box replaces the older version, increasing the hash rate three times over. 12 ASICMiner BE200 chips are housed on a single board
within the case, which is cooled with two 80mm fans. A mini usb to usb cable along with a stripped PCI-E cable is included in the package when purchased
directly from Rockminer. Cables included will depend on your reseller.

0b) What You Need (top)
In addition to a host windows PC, you will need a power supply to get started.

1) Powering (top)
R-Boxes do not come with a power supply, and you will need a typical computer PSU with 1xPCI-E 6 pin power connectors. We also need to tell the PSU to
always be on, as there isn't a motherboard to do this. Cut a paper clip into a U and insert it into the
green wire and either black wire to the side of the green wire. Tape it up for safety. The power supply will now be controlled by its switch on the rear socket.

      


2) Cooling (top)
The New R-Box is self sufficient in cooling terms and utilises both front and rear aluminium heatsinks. Two 72mm fans on the case intake and exhaust the
air to keep the unit cool.

      

      




3) Case (top)
The case is lightweight aluminium and fully encompasses the miner. Units are only stackable when mounted on their sides due to the interference of the
PCI-E wires. Each miner measures 172 x 78 x 190mm, and weighs 2.6kg when packaged.


      


4) Configuration (top)
R-Boxes can be run using CGMiner. A Windows based PC is recommended although a similar process can be applied on a Raspberry Pi.

Wiring:

• Plug in a PCI-E connector to the R-Box.
• Plug in a mini USB to USB cable from the R-Box to your computer.

Configuration:

• Download the latest version of Custom Rockminer CGMiner.
• Extract, and run the zadig application.
• "Select CP21202 USB to UART Bridge Controller" and then click "Replace Driver". You only have to do this once per computer.
• Right click the file "start.bat" and click "Edit". Enter your pool information as below
• Run the bat file to start mining.

Yes direct from Rockminer. They're sold in minimums of 10 via Rockminer, but there are plenty of resellers about - even on Amazon.

these are quiet I had three.  three run with less noise then 1 s-3 by far.

They run with BFGminer also. The earliest I've used is 4.5.0.

People were having so many problems using bfgminer on the original that I had to stop recommending it in this case. I'm not sure if it was continual user error or what, but you can have a look through the old thread.

It's been rocking solid for me for over a month on a mixed batch of the new R-boxes as well as the older ones. No problems at all.



I have them clocked back some because the old r-boxes don't like the higher speeds.

Accepted is difficulty XX in that view (in your case difficulty 64), so your hardware error rate is 0.47%.

That screen shot appears to have only run less than 1 hour. These new R-Box need about full 2 hrs. for the stats to stabilize. I also see people are using the 270mhz freq. but Rockxie has already stated in the official thread that the default should be 320Mhz freq. to achieve expected hashrate.
