Honestly, BTC made more powerful rallies than this even in recent months (halvening) and a lot of promising alts followed it. This is absolutely nonsense in my opinion since there are actually no real news or adoption, Bitcoin can also be manipulated and pumped just like any other altcoin, 10b marketcap is nothing.
I honestly think this is all manipulation to shake all alts and buy back cheaper. The price in terms of BTC can adjust of course but now we are seeing massive selloff in terms of fiat valuation and that doesn't make much sense to me. I understand people panicking and trying to catch the Bitcoin train but it's not as if Bitcoin is already worth $3-4k to justify that, it barely moved!
This is the best comment so far which sums up this absurdity pretty well. I don't understand why all that drama and people panic selling, in many instances at a significant loss, I assume. Certainly makes no sense to sell just to benefit from a few percent of BTC's rise. And whoever 'invests' in ZCash at this stage certainly hasn't seen how its issuance model is structured. Let's see where the price is in 100 days... And FCT as long as guys keep working on whatever they do I'm not bothered as to the current price or lack of communication. After securing my share it's in long position - cos such project is a long term game. Just my 2 satoshi. |

It's volatile, get used to it. And factom PR isn't bad, Factoids are open sources tokens, there is no "PR" for open source stuff as there is no department within factom for factoid PR. They are busy working on the system that will result in making factoids valuable, but not by selling factoids. Factoms business is to sell entry credits not factoids (FCT).
Factoids are connected on the 'back end' of Factom and we have the privilege and opportunity to invest in them as unaccredited investors. A rare chance to effectively invest in a company at an early stage. Usually this stage is reserved for accredited investors or VCs. So there is no PR for us - fact! And I am fine with that. Just let them do their thing. M2 is only delayed by about a month so far and the last we all heard was it is expected in November. For those (including me) who happened to be in FCT rather than BTC right now, thats just bad luck, but Factom haven't done anything wrong (besides a small delay) and the future is looking bright.

I like these statements about Factom PR being bad. I was exactly like that one year ago, but about ETH instead. That didn't turn out too bad even though I criticised their PR.

Factoid is not a stock. Stop treating it as such. It's more like you a pre-purchasing at a very nice discount "possibly" subscription that you are going to resell in the future for the expected value. The more people use it the more valuable your prepurchased subscription are going to be. It's like if a Cable provider sold you 10 000 pre-purchased accounts 40 years ago for 20c and they are now 10x-100x that...
Let them do their job.

Man that was a painful lesson. I got blown out of my account at the very bottom. I mean as soon as my account was called the damn thing turned around. It's almost funny, unreal. I kept adding adding adding until i was broke. Back to square one. Now, I realize how dangerous margin is. That cured me. Geesh

I think they do this on purpose with margin coins, especially with such bad distro and easily manipulated. They take note of what the majority are doing and what makes sense, and they just do the opposite to liquidate. I would stay away from Factom on margin and just find a good entry point that you are comfortable with and buy and hold. M2 is right around the corner and I feel they are being vague for a reason here, so we can have an unexpected moon launch and the dev team can just grin. There is no doubt Factom is going places, you guys need to buy and hold and stop being led astray and dumping for no reason.

Tip: Never post what percentage you are from being liquidated. I cringed when I saw that. Never underestimate how ruthless a small minority will be when it comes to money. |

As I ve said in one of my previous posts, Factom will come back to it s original price of 5500 quite soon and the ones who lost are weak hands who panic and dump at first sight of price movement. I believe this is a valuable education for you not to let whales and speculators catch you off guard again cause this whole process will take place again, trust me.
