I've had absolutely no problem withdrawing from Safedice, including today.  I'm not sure why so many people are.  I withdrew 0.5 BTC.  When you do a withdrawal, it gives you a TXID immediately that you can reference on block explorer.  I checked it and the transaction was already in the mempool.  Saw it on my end a few seconds later.  I think if you had hundreds of BTC being screwed out of bankroll investors, you'd here a bit more than a trickle of complaints from disgruntled gamblers.  Scammers trying to get a free coin have quickly jumped on the "help me, I didn't get my withdrawal boat" on the very outside change someone would give/get something for nothing.  Most of you probably know crypto well enough to be familiar with that "strategy".

I say the above based on personal experience.  If you have a disagreeing opinion based on something other than personal experience, I wouldn't consider it relevant.  The problem here is that one person says something without a basis in fact, and then a hundred other BCT.org users repeat it as fact, and so on and so on.  I'm not saying this guy isn't in prison.  I have no idea.  I'm not saying Monero withdrawals work.  What I AM saying is that Bitcoin withdrawals from this site are working.

I have emailed support several times for months, no response. I have asked for mod help he ignored me. That is encouraging to hear you were able to cashout BTC but as far as i know nobody has withdrawn any monero in months.

Would you have a txid to share to verify the withdrawal? If you do, that will put a lot of speculation to rest!

My own feedback was the following:

Quote
There are rumors that the owner is in prison (for unrelated things.) I do not know if this is true, but I do know the owner has not been active for a long time. Therefor I would stay away from SafeDice.

It seems like the BCH/XMR is stuck and BTC depends on the hot wallet. It is unclear whether a trusted third party (who is close to the owner) is still available to top up the hot wallet or what's going on. I hope anyone who knows more can post in the topic.

Of course this is a pity, because SafeDice has been around for a long time and was legit so far. So I do hope (and TBH expect) the owner will come back and I will be happy to remove my negative trust by that time.

As you can see, it says "BTC depends on the hot wallet". XMR/BCH both had hard forks, so they really don't work any more, but the BTC hot wallet is still functional. So yes, if you are lucky enough, the BTC withdrawals could work.

Naturally more players lose money than win money. And there are still people depositing/playing (see charts.) So this means the hot wallet still goes up from time to time with funds. You can actually follow the hot wallet here: https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/SafeDice.com (it has a delay - so your 0.5 BTC WD will be there tomorrow Wink) Still looks like there are ~5 BTC in it (so any investor with stuck BTC could withdraw a bit now.) Specifically someone deposited 3x 1 BTC on different accounts and lost all 3 BTC at March 26-30, this can be seen both in the hot wallet and profit charts.

Overall a few points:
- Several of us (including myself) has been emailing the admin (both emails) since ~Sep 2018 without any reply
- Cold wallet funds haven't moved since ~Aug 2018: https://btc.com/1SD1ciWyeDNf26YoAUjSsifQZK1ShFJ2s - even at times when the hot wallet was empty for a long time
- XMR and BCH has been broken since they had hard forks
- SafeDice bitcointalk account hasn't been active since Mar 2018: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=396610
- Domain will expire at Sep 2019 - let's hope he has funds in Namecheap account (obviously the same question can be asked about the server.)
- From my view, the BTC hot wallet is only topped up by players
- Hunterd63 claims a previous staff member helped him with a withdrawal (for a reward.) In SafeDice chat, Hunterd63 said the previous staff member said the owner was in prison. This is where the rumor comes from. TBH I don't really care about this rumor, the point is that the admin is inactive.
- The admin has been gone for weeks/months in past too (which is why I still have hope), but this gotta be a new record

So should you deposit/play at SafeDice? Obviously not. It's fine that you share your experience, but we are not making things up. The prison part is speculation, the rest are facts. It is extremely risky to deposit/play at SafeDice (the hot wallet can get empty and/or be less than your winnings, the site can go down all of the sudden, no support whatsoever, etc.) and all the warnings in this topic are justified.

Well post that deserves a merit for how well it was written.

Regarding the rumor that he is in prison. I think what the admin should at least do is inform the members of the site that he is unable to process withdraws and that eventually one day all withdraws will get processed when he is released.

I know that its not possible to use a computer from prison. However he probably does see his lawyer frequently who could make a Bitcointalk account and post the info about the admins whereabouts and calm everyones nerves. Although I don't know if it would make people feel any better hearing that their crypto is frozen due to the admin being in prison.

Sure it would destroy the sites reputation but the reputation is already destoryed. This way he would at least explain the situation and provide a time-line when it would get resolved and everybody would get their withdraws.

I guess the main problem right now should not be withdraws and when it will be, it should be will the website keep going with the servers and domain? I mean if the owner is in jail than he must have no connection to internet at all (depending on where you live of course) but if you have no connection to internet you need to hire someone or tell someone to at least postpone that domain name thing in order to get that a bit longer, we don't know if he is in jail and even if he is we don't know how long he will stay there.

When a casino goes well like this the main problem is never "when" it is "if" because there is a high chance nobody gets anything at all since website will default to zero and server will get closed and nobody will know who deposited how much or had how much in their accounts since there is no data.

The server probably has been paid in advance or his creditcard is linked on his hosting account and its set to autopay or autorenew every month. So the site will remain online even the admin is in jail.

Its currently on complete autopilot and withdrawal will depends if someone deposit some fresh money to the bankroll.

The only thing that is not automatic is the cold wallet transfer to hotwallet to honor all the withdrawal of its users.

Just confirming what's already been said.  Can not withdrawal BTC or XMR.  No response to emails from administrator.  No MOD in chat.  I haven't seen anyone playing in the last few days other then "Nieuwendijk60".

There doesn't seem to be any recourse which is forcing me to reconsider the other gambling investments I have going.

This is the third casino in I've been in where the owner just vanished with peoples money.  The other two on the Burst platform.  Snakeeyes was the name of one.  can't remember the other.

Happy times!!

To be fair it doesn't need confirm, it's already 100% clear and it's a little bit curious if you really tried to deposit and gamble on that website and came here after not being able to witbdraw money.
Moderators, I think it will be better to close this thread since we no longer get any answer from admin/mod team and this website is like an abandoned empire.

Do you even check on their background or may be see somw reviews from people here about their withdrawing? In the past, it is really a good thing to play on their site but time goes on and it seems their teams can't cover everything and it is always delayed people withdrawal. Some of them said they got back their money and others are not. If you aware of this thing, you should be able to know if you are suppose to make a deposit or not

I made my deposit in 2017.  I did review peoples comments back then and did not see a problem.  When I went to check on my investment I saw the warnings in the Chat section and decided I better try to withdraw.

Everything is in good shape back then but something may have happened on the admin of this website and it is almost a year now since he last logged in here. There are many speculations on what happened, some say he got arrested and some say he is dead

If a member in the forum will read the comments in this thread, he would not use this site anymore.
They are not active anymore, even if the owner is dead or whatsoever, at least there's someone from the team that will give us an info here since the site is still running.

Keeping the hosting active is not the only issue. Most hosts you can prepay for 1 or 2 or 3 years in advance or like a person above said, they can automatically charge the credit card. However if a person is in prison, and doesn't pay their credit card bills, then how will the transaction go thru? Anyways this is another road block.

Regarding XMR withdraws, I am very curious did the owner somehow shutdown the daemon or is that daemon still running but on the old fork, from what I recall when XMR forked, there was a group of miners still on the old fork. So maybe if that chain is still alive, you can check if any transactions have actually went thru if there is a block explorer, however most likely the value of that coin will be nil so there is no point really.

This can go one or two ways. Either nobody get their BTC withdraws, or maybe in 5 years when BTC is $100,000 per coin, people will finally be able to withdraw. And it will be pure luck for them because if they were allowed to withdraw early they would of sold at $3500 ( Jan 2019) instead of at $100,000. So it might work out in the end, just like it did with MtGox.

Everything is in good shape back then but something may have happened on the admin of this website and it is almost a year now since he last logged in here. There are many speculations on what happened, some say he got arrested and some say he is dead

If a member in the forum will read the comments in this thread, he would not use this site anymore.
They are not active anymore, even if the owner is dead or whatsoever, at least there's someone from the team that will give us an info here since the site is still running.

unfortunately there are still people not using the forum and can only find a site thru ads they see in any bitcoin related sites resulting them to get scammed .

I've visited many many gambling websites throughout my life. I played Dice on a lot of websites but this has never come to me at SafeDice.com. I will visit this site right now and if I really like it then add it to my list of favorite gambling websites.

The best tip on finding good gambling sites are reviews here in bitcointalk. There are too many web sites that are good looking but what are important things to ponder are the fairness and its support.

Try to read above the comments. Especially the original post too where the poster is already red tagged.

The second option can't happen, specially if its never paid but even if they find it. Reason being is that if there are any data that could be reached right now and see who has how much and so forth then the admin even if he is in jail could just appoint someone as the interim ceo and then that person will try to recover this issue we are having.

If there is nothing the owner can do from jail then eventually website will be closed and all data will be lost so nobody will know how much they had with proof which will result with the owner not paying up. There is literally no way it can wait until 100k per bitcoin or 5 years, either they do it right now to solve the issue right away or they can't do it and then lose all the data they have in their hand.

Interestingly enough, some cold storage funds moved on May 4, 2019.  Still ~75BTC left in the cold storage so it doesn't seem to be a hack of some sort, but it didn't go to the hot wallet either.

taking a break - expect delayed responses
