Safedice is a great site, however it is in need of improvements to regain betting volume and stay ahead of the competition. Here are my two cents on what the owners should focus on. I do not expect the owners to listen to me but imo if they do the following it will really help increase traffic to the site:

- Introduce a chat section that is not a popup, I.e a whole new screen accessed through a tab. Community aspect is a big thing that draws repeat players, and improving the community aspect will help a great deal. Get a rain bot in there and have mods that frequent the site and create a community. Yolodice is a good example of what works.
- Get some sort of faucets going so newcomers can try out the site. All betting sites have faucets, bonuses, rain etc. This will help bring new people on board.
- I strongly feel the variable house edge system should be scrapped, and instead, the house edge increased a little bit, say to perhaps 0.7%. I've looked at the mathematics behind variable house edge, and it's too risky for investors. Site currently allows a max win of 57 BTC with a bankroll of only 184 BTC. Thats THIRTY percent of the bankroll! I get that the higher edge is meant to make up for the increased risk to investors but imo it's only a matter of TIME before the bankroll is wiped again, like it was earlier in the year. If I was an investor I would be concerned. You can remove the variable system and make the max bet a max of say 2% of the bankroll. If investors want more risk, you can offer a greater kelly factor for these guys.

The best asset going for Safedice atm is the simple to use and pretty interface, which blows the competition. I recommend we keep that, and work on the above to make Safedice better for everyone.

It took 2 days and my deposits were not added in the account. It still says Unconfirmed, even though I checked the blockchain it was done. Oh my god what's going on I send a letter to support safedice constantly but they do not reply. Does anyone understand this is safedice's revenge on me when I always criticize them?

It seems insane to set the max bet to 30% of the bankroll. That's so much higher than other sites. Certainly the max bet could be substantially lowered without hurting the ability to attract players? How can investors sleep soundly at night when it's possible for a few lucky whales to clean out the site? Everything else about SafeDice is impressive. The owner gets a lot of flak but if you read this thread you'll see that he always comes through.

tiendientuvn.net, you post in this thread quite frequently, and it's kind of hilarious. If SafeDice really is causing this much distress in your life...maybe use a different site?!

I do see your point, but I don't fully agree with it. Although there is indeed a chance for the investors to lose big, you need to realize that the house edge is massive with insane large bets. If you bet 25BTC at 2x payout, there is a 2.18% house edge.
Any whale who would like to make big profit would take a massive chance of losing. They would be mad to play here with those large bets. They would be way better of to gamble somewhere else with a fixed 1% house edge.

If the whales you are concerned about are logical thinkers, they wouldn't bet more then 11.5BTC (at 2x payout), otherwise they'd go to other sites.

I'm afraid I don't agree with that. In the fiat world, 2.18% house edge is nothing. Slot machines in Australia have a house edge of at least 14% and there are still a flood of gamblers. The reality is, all you need is a whale who gets on a winning streak and keeps max betting it. Whale aint gonna care about 1, 2, or even 5% house edge. 3 successful Max bets, and BANG, investors lose their investment. Safedice owners, please consider either lowering the max bet or removing the variable house edge system altogether. I really believe it would be in the benefit of everyone. We don't want a repeat bankroll wipeout.

Whales come and go. It's been almost a year I am playing on SD and I've seen a lot of them rekt on SD. On the long run the variable edge is looking good.
Latest SD troubles have been site related issues (with investors and players who moved somewhere else).

By the way, is anybody having troubles logging in via Seuntjies DiceBot? With the latest version 3.3.9 I have been able to log in and play for a few days and since yesterday I get an error everytime I try to connect.
SD are you aware of this?

I don't think it's so much the idea of variable edge that is a problem, but mostly that it allows so high a profit relative to bankroll. It's the current ranges that might give too much room for variance.

The site is not a scam... yet.

But the developer really needs to be more active in this thread. His last activity was last weekend and nothing since then.

I understand that people are busy and have families but since he is holding other people's money he should at least hire some staff or check in from time to time.

Sorry about all of the issues everyone has been experiencing on SD - There are some recent updates being made to the site which has most likely caused them. Please be sure you send a message to support@safedice.com (new support email). The old email will no longer be used (safedice@protonmail.com). It has been five days with no reply (email sent to the new address). Only tiny BTC amounts can be withdrawn (hot wallet has been emptied). Many people are even waiting for their deposit to show up while they are confirmed on the blockchain. Come on guys, I love this site but you really need to improve customer care and basic helpdesk.

Five days is too long and gives too much time for uncertainty to brew. Even with a very busy day job and a family, I find it hard to believe that the admin can't set aside something like 15 minutes a day (hell, maybe every other day) to resolve issues when peoples' money is at stake. But I also find it hard to believe that he's just not interested in the success of the site, since he recently added BCH and hired a new support person. It'd be nice to get clarification from the admin about what is preventing him from promptly responding to issues. Even if it's personal in nature, give some sort of hint. For example, does the nature of his occupation force him to go offline for long periods? Without some sort of reassurance I can't help but fear that he will be MIA for increasingly longer periods until eventually he disappears entirely.

Yes it doesn't make sense.

Its also highly unlikely that the owner of the website suddently passed away.

Even if there was a family emergency the admin should at least post that he will be away from the computer for the next few days/weeks. Instead the way he is leaving everything will make many people upset and call the site a scam pretty soon.

Hi karartma1 I'm currently responding to email but some of them were due to error that has been solved (like global downtime for few hours). I'll eventually come across your message but please re-send your email with your BCT username so I'm certain its you.

I'm sorry to make you worry, our hot wallet is still accepting most withdrawal (up to ~ 3 btc). I have refilled them just in case, and I'll help directly for even larger withdrawal.

Hi SafeDice, thanks for getting back to us. I’ve forwarded my previous email and specified my username on SafeDice. What I wrote still stands anyway: I know you always proved yourself professional and reliable but don’t you think it would be better to improve the overall customer care and helpdesk experience? This is a win-win for everybody.  Thanks

I agree you can't prevent people of wondering that the site is scam or not, many rumors will came and would rather make the site's reputation bad. Proper announcements in a thread post is the best recommendations to do from those admins. With that ways I think people will understand with a simple explanations, negative speculations might be prevented.
