15 May 2018 BitBay (BAY) Web Marketplace Preview 30 May 2018 BitBay (BAY) Hire Template Release 30 June 2018 (or earlier) BitBay (BAY) Programmable Contracts 30 June 2018 (or earlier) BitBay (BAY) Dynamic Peg Release 30 June 2018 (or earlier) BitBay (BAY) Web Wallet Marketplace Really? So soon? Well I can say the template releases are definitely on schedule. Actually the Hire Template has been mostly finished for a month. As for web markets I don't know because that part I'm not coding and I think they have been trying to get the nodes to be stable for android and web wallets and also they will need to see the architecture for it and everything. If I can get the templates done early then the peg should be on schedule. Although honestly I would prefer a test client before forking. So any release we can see the software enforcing the peg and then a little more time to negotiate with exchanges.

There are two main competitors for bitbay: syscoin and particl. Do you know what are the differences between them?

So much development to come in relatively short time period...
this project is undervalued IMO
however considering that we are only recently coming out of the Jan- march correction from 2017 exuberance-perhaps we should look at the overall market cap in all cryptocurrencies and expect the price of stable blockchain projects to float up as institutional money flows into the sector
thanks to the developers for their steady improvements

Well we are based on BitHalo which was the worlds first smart contracts years before Ethereum and our markets were a year before Open Bazaar. Our contracts are unbreakable using double deposit escrow which is a major advantage over SYS. As for Particl which use to be ShadowCash, they started their project inspired by BlackHalo and eventually BitBay. So pretty much everything on the Particl roadmap is stuff we already have. And even when they do get it we have multiple templates and are not only just sales of goods but also services and barter and custom programmable contracts. And then we also have the peg on the roadmap which will cause our coin to be much more stable and protect it's growth. So why those two projects are higher marketcap is a mystery to us all because we have been leading the industry in tech for years.

Good question I think maybe other members more closely involved with it can answer this question. We should actually start populating the markets again considering the new version of the software being released.

Our marketing is mostly managed by a group of members although nobody specializes in it. We have for example, SEO people and we have project managers such as Shorn and when Aletha does recruiting and outreach it certainly helps. We have attempted to work with different marketing leads but nobody yet has delivered what we needed. So yeah it's a work in progress. But we do things like recently going to seminars, we have a good Twitter and YouTube prescience and several community managers.

Dear Bitbay team, Just found out about Bitbay and i really like the concept, dev team seems to be active. Before investing in this project, I have some questions: 1) What is the utility of the Bitbay token? Is there any other insentive than 1% staking reward? 2) Does the network also runs masternodes, or only staking? 3) How does Bitbay differ from Particl? Btw, there is a major typo on the website, under features. https://bitbay.market/featuresIt says, "crpytocurrency", i guess this has to be "cryptocurrency".

The biggest problem with Bay i think is that you need to download the whole freaking chain before you can do anything. The average person won't bother with it as they are used to web marketplaces. Just need to wait for Bays web marketplace and people need to understand the advantages of double deposit escrow.

i sent email as instructed 3 days ago and hasnt got anything yet. I'm shocked bitbay marketing team didn't make a lot more of this airdrop to be honest. This should have been pushed all over the main board. This thread needs thread manager to answer all questions and keep it on the first pages of the ann section. David does what he can but fair enough he is better coding and designing the project. When i hear there are whales with 10's and 10's of millions come on guys let's hire a thread manager for a few bay crumbs (to them anyway) per week. The deadline for claiming seems hard to even ascertain for this airdrop ...

Btw, there is a major typo on the website, under features. https://bitbay.market/featuresIt says, "crpytocurrency", i guess this has to be "cryptocurrency". Hi VinneG, 1. BitBay's coin (on its own separate blockchain, not ethereum based) serves for the purpose of collateral during double deposit escrow transactions. It's the one thing that holds two parties to their word, to form any agreement in the marketplace. The two deposits are always in BAY, however payment for the transaction can be literally anything, (including crypto or fiat currencies). 2. There are no masternodes with BitBay (helps maintain decentralization), only staking on Proof of Stake 3.0 3. For comparisons of BitBay and Particl, check out this BCT thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2354040.0 However, two main differences offhand are that BitBay has an already working product since 2015 (that has tons successful marketplace transactions under its belt including real estate) and will be offering the Dynamic Peg. The peg will provide both stability and an opportunity for investors to profit over time. This will be the first programmable peg of its kind, and no other project has done this.

Yeah well it was a very nice gesture from Opti however we also had a deadline for the dedicated Mac build and some GUI updates. I think we are still missing key marketing people to push this forward. Consider how many different platforms of social media can be used to market. Either way this year is a dramatic difference over the previous one, we have a lot of great stuff in store.

i sent email as instructed 3 days ago and hasnt got anything yet. He isn't distributing coins yet and just to let everyone know I didn't see any concrete deadline. I'm sure he will be more than patient to wait for all of the people in the top 500 snapshot to claim. I will send him a message and see if he can clarify some of that.
