The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Update

Project Timeline

August-September: Deploy/sell all hashpower arriving in July and early August.
September-November: Deploy/sell the hashpower ordered at early July.
November-December: Experimental products of 2nd-gen chips and modular large-scale deployment solutions.

looks like no more hashing increase until november with the new gen

use bitcoinwatch

then view the chart,  currently its 9% for AM and network runs at 693TH

so 9% of 693TH = 62.57TH AM miner currently Smiley  nothing changed

edit: before it was at 5% , then 4, then 6, then10, then 7, then 5 Tongue  then 10, then 9 now Tongue  , might go down again

I think this has already been covered a couple times, but I'll try again anyway. AM has been talking about franchising for some while now and as a result those charts may not work properly. Recently we've seen coins dumped into the mining wallet from external wallets, which looks like possible franchised mining revenue. Either way those hashrate estimation charts are based upon blocks found so there's a huge random component involved.

ah, i misunderstood you. You meant that the new generation would not lead to speed increases until nov. I thought you meant there wouldn't be any. Sorry 'bout that.

The 12 or 11 just mean ASICMINER has found 12% or 11% of the mined blocks in the last x hours. (Depending on the website x equals probably 24h or ~36h)
Nothing more or less. Smiley

I was wondering.. would it make more sense to sell hardware before deploying additional rigs or would AM increase it's hashrate at the same time?

Because one thing is for sure, we know AM ordered hashpower early of July (see timeline posted before and hardware sells are coming (#1, #2). Sidenote: India has it's own reseller now.

Please just stick to the 36h hashrate to make wild speculations.

It's 65 TH right now which is still higher than the 55 we used to have, right?

Yeah, it looks good!  Smiley
The 3-day average is reaching ATH.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

if you guys want to have a quick guestimate of what the current hash rate is you just calculate the percentage on the last 100 blocks found.  this is done most easily by going to  http://blockchain.info/address/1HtUGfbDcMzTeHWx2Dbgnhc6kYnj1Hp24i and then counting the number of blocks that have less than 100 confirms and that is your rough percentage.  for example there are 9 blocks that ASICMiner has found in the last 100 blocks, so that would be roughly 9%.  i have seen it be anything from 3% to 15% over the last month or so, so just remember this is a ROUGH estimate, and can greatly be influenced by luck.

Yep, not only 24-hour, but also 3-day and 7-day estimates have exceeded their respective ATH by a significant margin.
Looks like the growth resumed. FINALLY!

Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

yeah, I'm glad the hashrate seems to be more stable now and the difficulty growth has also slowed down a bit... Also great news that the franchising is starting to work as well!
