Bitmain S2s are available for $1650 right now ($1.65 per GH), and they ship on 5-25. The S2 also comes with a power supply and doesn't require a host computer, so the pricing is basically identical except I have less hassle to setup and run a S2.

Even though that group buy is only for 100 units and is around 30% off bitmains price, $1.65/gh is really not even close to $1.35/gh.

Where are you getting $1.35/GH?

According to this link, the price is $1.50/GH plus the cost of a power supply and rip, plus $200 shipping, which equals between $1500-1600 for 800 GH.

They are reselling hashratio machines.

Hashratio is selling for 68000 yuan ($11,000) for 8.5TH. Add another $500 for psus/parts and you get $1.35/gh.

Please show me where I can order a Hashratio machine right now and have it delivered in the U.S. for $1.35/gh. You cannot ignore the cost of power supplies and shipping, which are significant.

Also, I thought Hashratio was not taking any new orders, so the only way to buy their products is through a reseller, which will add an additional markup.

I'm sure Bitmain could also sell a S2 right now for $1.35/GH if they didn't have to pay for fast, worldwide shipping and include a 1000W power supply.

All I'm saying is that the ASICMiner Gen3 products are not going to take the mining world by storm like some in this thread have speculated. Asicminer Gen3 is competitive with current Coincraft, Bitmain, and Spondoolies-Tech offerings, but they don't seem to offer an advantage and ASICMiner is late to the 1W/GH party.

If Gen4 doesn't come out in the next 2-3 months, ASICMiner will be behind again when they have to compete against the S3 and SP30.

Never said you can have it delivered to the US for that price. But some people can get it for that low.

I added $500 for psus/extras even though you can get 850w for $10 ($100 to power the lot).

Even if shipping is $1000 it would still be about $1.4/gh using cheap server psus or $1.5 using gold rated atx psus.

The Ghash.IO mining pool capture 35% of all the network hashrate, and I wanna know what's the specific hashrate does bitfury own ?

Based on this post, the ASICMiner Gen3 chips are around 1W/GH, which is nothing special. The pricing is barely competitive with current Bitmain, Coincraft clone, and Spondoolies-Tech offerings. If this is what current shareholders were banking on to lift the share price, I think you better take off the rose colored glasses and think again.

That's not for the chip, that's for the whole miner. The miner isn't an AM product, only the chips are and if people are making miners, they've already bought the chips.

Imo AM just has "bullet proof" working average chips... but in mass quantity! ^^

What do you think AM's J/GH is? According to Rockxie's initial testing, the chips consume 0.554 J/Gh at 11.52 Gh/s. Who exactly is producing chips with a lower power consumption than that? It's definitely not everyone.

Adding other components loss about 1KW/Thash
Tips:this result is not very accurate just for reference.

i'm not going to get into a 'who's got a bigger ....' argument. Look around for yourself.

Yeah, but AM is selling chips, not miners. You can compare other companies miners all you want, that's irrelevant to AM. You need to compare the actual chips. You said that AM's chips had a higher power consumption than everyone else's and refuse to back up your claims when asked, that's just spreading FUD.

not at all, just making an observation. fanboys and bum-buggerers will always be fanboys and bum-buggerers.
there are better spec chips out there.

As spondoolies biggest fanboy you must be hurting right now seeing $1.4/gh.

Weren't they charging more than $3/gh a week ago?

I'm neither a fanboy nor a "bum-buggerer" and have been extremely critical of AM in the past. I also didn't say that they've got the best chip out there, I pointed out that your claim that everyone else has better chips was simply nonsense.
