1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help needed: Win 10 unable to exe ANY miner shell i.e. ccminer etc... on: April 06, 2018, 10:16:08 PM
Normally I use Linux distros, but for the life of me I've tried everything!
YES, for months I've searched in here unsuccessfully, different coins/ and tried ALL of youtube's methods configuring even a fresh install (UN-updated) only downloading VB after first trying in install latest attempt ccminer2.2.5 for pirl.

What happens:
- my command prompt will pop up for a split second only, acting like somethings still mis-configured (my guess) or defender kills it (tried adding folders/files/.exe's as exclusions too).

What I've tried:
- run as admin; disable firewall & defender; re-formatting & installing fresh licensed copy no updates - after updates; different GPU's with device drivers installed of course only to watch wonderful windows' new policy circumvent ALL win 10 PRO services I'd disabled be re-enabled and gtx installed drivers auto-replaced with microsofts proprietary vers. ... ...

Mobo= z270
ram=4g
GPU= 1060 6g zotac, or MSI, or whatever's laying around doesn't matter.

Plz help, I'd like to test-drive on my desktop b4 switching the rigs to un-tested stuff - Thnks in advance!

getting 24% rejected shares on nicehash with the claymore miner v7 any ideas ?

Have you tried other pools to see the rejection rate?
dont see rejected shares on nanopool

1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: April 06, 2018, 03:25:43 PM
I tried it an hour ago, it is simply not worth mining at the moment.

Monero recalculates the difficulty once every single day at the normal block time. Since the difficulty still didn't change and the hash rate has dropped it will take more than a day to adjust the difficulty.

The average blocktime for monero is usually around 1 minute. Currently its around 2 minutes. So expect the difficulty to adjust in two days.

Mining Monero at the moment yields around $0.6 not including electricity on Nicehash for roughly around 850 h/s.
wont u still acumulate shares?

You do, along with everyone else so it doesn't matter.

I'm solo mining it on a rig you never know I might get lucky  Grin

nice, I have half my rigs on nanopool and half on nicehash

i forgot how much more power efficeint cryptonite is, basically saving 30 percent power
from eth only mining, I really hope hashrate stays low , fuck eth

I have 20 rigs , I put half on nicehash crypto v7 and the rest on nanopool

unfortunately the stats on both pools are are still messed up, it seems there are two forks now

the old fork with asic still on it has pretty much thw same diff which is strange

the new for has like only 20 percent of the old hash rate , there is no way that asics and bots were 80
percent of the global hash.

either way things should be interesting next 8 hrs

I dont think xmr stack is updated

Of course it is!

I think i meant cast XMR

What is best miner for Momero fork, for nvidias ?

Nvidia is terrible mining cryptonite

but there are some miners check the Sumokoin mining thrread

seens slower than cast on vega 1500 mhs max

Difficulty went down. Is it because of the ASICs or the miners forgot to update their miners?

Check the difficulty here: https://www.difficultychart.com/sumokoin

ASICs (miners that havent updated their miners are sure to have spotted that something has changed by now)
Well, that was what I would think also. But my pool is not one of the biggest and it's flushed with bad shares from my miners. I put a warning on my homepage and announced it in the discord channel, but nothing...

Well right now I only know of 2 gpu miners that supports SUMO. srbminer and xmr-stak. Do you know of any other gpu miner?

I dont think xmr stack is updated

what cpu miner to use for this algo
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Fork in one day.. hash rate drop predictions ? on: April 05, 2018, 07:50:58 PM
anyway when the diff start to double in a a few days, it will be there Smiley.

They will camouflage their asics again and remember they will not sell any, they will mine the hell of it and will sell next year or maybe they will never sell their asics again and day by day camouflage as if it was gpus added to the network.

poor 12k asic buyers. Grin

This is good, one day asic buyers will learn their lesson. If this block keep happens then bitmain and co will never sell asics for coins that are fighting them anymore, they will keep them hidden. The idea here is to change the algo regardless if asics will be released or not. Remember that the coins need to be like our body, our body has immune system, it adapts and kill, if not then take medicines to get better and then that will not work anymore. I worked with adaptive systems my whole life. I have the concept and the skills, If i was to create a coin, it would be 100% immune to anything.
you are quite right, perpetually changing algo is the best way to stop these fuckers
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Fork in one day.. hash rate drop predictions ? on: April 05, 2018, 03:22:47 PM
will nicehash be the best place to mine to ? with my AMD rigs ? debating here

Ive not gone back to them since the ripoff
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Fork in one day.. hash rate drop predictions ? on: April 05, 2018, 03:21:59 PM
450 MH/s tops.

AMD rigs will switch back and Nvidia rigs profits will start going up...

that would be nice, AMD rigs are on raven now too killing profits
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Monero Fork in one day.. hash rate drop predictions ? on: April 05, 2018, 01:29:10 PM
So anyone want to predict what the Monero diffulty goes to on the 6th ?

current diff is  - 116,825,734,095
total hashrate  -957.59 Mh/s give or take?

Personally I predict at 30% inital drop , before GPU miners switch back over from other coins

so difficult goes to 81,778,013,866.5
hash rate to 600  mh/s

1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 04, 2018, 06:22:45 PM
What is up with everyone in this thread acting like ETH is the only mineable coin?  There are a shitload of other algos out there.  Unless you are using old AMD cards, mining ETH hasn't been the most profitable coin to mine in almost a year.  Blows my mind how people act like the sky is falling and its the end of mining because Bitmain is releasing an "ASIC" that is underpowered and overpriced and not even available for 3 months.

What is up with you and your head in the clouds not realizing that ETH is the main source of income of GPUs both directly and indirectly. Yes, its not the most profitable coin to mine but its what FARMS mine for a steady source of income. If ETH tanks all those mining farms will eat up your little GPU rigs and nothing will be profitable. You are a little fish who is lost in a big sea of miners.

for real 😳 who are these newbies that have no idea how bad the gpu mining buisness was before ether ,ether saved gpu mining
it absolutely blows my mind HOW MANY PEOPLE do not understand the severity of this situation from the POV of a GPU Miner let alone bitmain ruling crypto / centralization and so forth

Also I heard you never receive merits, so here's a merit my friend lol Cheesy

As the dude in the Big Lebowski says, “That’s just like, your opinion, man”   ETH did not save GPU mining.  It helped popularize it, there is no proof all of these other coins wouldn't have came around if Ethereum never existed.  As for these mining farms, what kind of cards do they have?  I'm guessing the people who parrot about these "farms" are clueless to the size, scope, and equipment.  It doesn't matter how large your operation is, the fact is that if you have 5 or 5000 GTX 10XX cards, ETH has not been the most profitable coin to mine for a long time.  And if these huge mining farms have AMD cards, what the hell else are they going to switch their hashrate to?   There are a million different coins to mine.
god you are an imbecile, amd cards cost a third of the price of nvidia cards when most of these farms were build, for each 1070 or 1080ti there are 3 or more rx470 or 570 cards purchased for the same price.  Two 470s easily do the work of 1 1070at any algo, 3 the work of a 1080ti.

these cards are undervolted to the max and on top of that power is not a concern for large farms since they pay .02 cents per watt or less.

This so called Nvidia advantage is false when it comes to scaled up opperation.

the fact thst you think a 5 vs a 5000 gpu farm faces the same issues shows how clueless you are

carry on tho 😂
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 04, 2018, 02:32:52 PM
I think the E3 uses 16 x BM1680 Neuralprcessing Chips and one Asic or FPGA for the controlling.

But I hope it´s a multi-gpu-system with HDMI and a PCI-E-Plug, also usable for gaming and VR. Grin
...could have more power compared to Vega-cards !

(12 x RX550) vs Vega:

Memory bandwith: Vega: 500.000 MB/s --- E3?: 1.380.000 (115.000x12)

Compute Units: Vega: 4096 --- E3?: 6144 (512x12)

TPU´s: Vega: 256 --- E3?: 384 (32x12)

ROP´s: Vega: 64 --- E3?: 192 (16x12)

Bitmain should start making gaming GPUs. Nvidia and AMD will go out of business  Grin

honestly I think they will come out with one in the next few months, they have tons of free money coming in from mining with private gear that we dont even know about.  the x3 they are selling to suckers today was making $500 a unit back in oct nov dec , or more lol
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: April 04, 2018, 02:29:51 PM
I don't understand some people
They are against Bitmain, but they bought Asics

Congratulations, we are a few steps do give Jihan and a few players all the control of Cryptos and you help it

I'm feeling tired of this Cryptos, in the beginning it was very nice, decentralized stuff, every person can participate, a revolution to our financial system, but then...

The history repeats itself

It's a shame.

I only buy  old school asic gear from bitmain  sha 256 or scrypt

I just ordered a 10th  L3+ as  LTC  has 210

At the end of the day, its all about our relentless quest for the ultimate rig.

DaggerHashimoto hashing 180MHs in a shoebox....

...... "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41)

yeah im not feeding the pig anymore, im buying coins and nvidia gpus if prices come back down to earth
fuck shitmain
