Cro2 did you get my DHL package? Dirty, used notes, as requested. Sorry Chi20, I had to do it.
We did, but we received another one as well. It said only 'buwa to lose'. Not sure whether it was from chi20 or the Chinese gambling mafia, but it was significantly bigger than yours. Sorry mate. It's should've been from me but the Chinese gambling mafia's decided to collaborate with the higher authority in other to achieve a worst result for buwaytress. 😆 🤣 That's okay. At least I can look at myself in the mirror a few more years and not cry at the sullen eyes staring back. The funny thing, looking back on my picks every round, I always ask myself: "What was I thinking?". Clearly, not very much. Only Swiatek got the Yes from me, while you went the complete opposite. I am comforted that you picked 2 guys on the same side of the draw, so if Sabalenka doesn't make it, I can breathe easy(ier), worst I can do is a draw.

Super possession, the return of extreme short passing? Or just an outlier?
I think this is just an outlier. You can't expect Leverkusen to dominate and play that well every game, especially in different circumstances such as a round of 16 in a European competition. I'm pretty sure any team would like to go through, so they will try their best to play their game, especially in front of their fanbase. Whether there is a home advantage or not, I believe a player would love a supportive atmosphere in the stadium. Shame. It's already been a decade of gegenpressing and wide attacks, high-line defence and long seeking balls. I love it, of course, even from my days of playing Winning Eleven, I'd 4-4-3 the heck out of teams and just press constantly. I suppose you could call me the visionary of digital football heh. I have watched a bit of Leverkusen and it's not displeasing football. Be nice to see Bundesliga adopt it if Alonso sticks to it -- and continues to win -- next season. It's not precisely like City's suffocating passing, if still very disciplined and purposeful.

Not bad Arsenal. Didn't win the way I wanted, but Arteta's turned this squad around. Not quite unbottlers yet, but first appearance in QF 14 years, not bad. Porto didn't do too badly, either. Pepe became the first player over 40 to play (I don't know if I recall correctly but I think Maldini vs Liverpool was 39 when we played our last pre-Klopp final!), and they took the tie to penalties (hasn't happened in 8 years, what?). If you want to group semis and the finals, that's actually easy to do. You'll have outright odds for the winner and that can be used - covers it all. Then again, buway bu-oost extra sounds way more fun than picking outrights.
Heh heh, yeah, we'll figure something out. Can't overthink about upsetting people too much, can we? Btw, @buwaytress when it comes to grading pool B results does extra time count or game is over after the two halves are played in 90mins Regular time, so that's 90 minutes + injury time, I've added that clarification into OP, thank you! Regained my 1st position before today's games, hopefully I increase the lead. Why am I in front of Ulven considering that we're on equal points? What are the differentiators?
In tiebreak Superbru, - # match outcomes correct, - # exact scores - # close scores - lowest total closeness (you get close for being 1 goal away OR 2 goals away but same goal difference) You have 71 correct match outcomes, Ulven has 70.

Proper ties tonight so far at half time! Anyway, visited Livecasino after a period to take advantage of the Newcastle United Roulette promo. Found out I had quite a few freespins waiting on slots -- don't even really know how I got them, good to know they never expired Won a few dollars from there, and then did the deed to get my freechips -- my prize was $50, not bad at all! Yolo'd on 2nd 12. Hit a 9. Very fun. Highly recommend. Oh, here's a bet I have half a stake on, thanks to some criminal underground in the Balkans deal I couldn't refuse *cough cough Cro2ugh*

Where were you looking, my man? There's a question for the Cup fixture at Old Trafford. No way we're not winning that one though, so your usual answer will be the winning one A poorly constructed attempt at sarcasm. If I can pinpoint one factor for me losing questions, it's when Liverpool's involved. But you're right, that just means bonus points for days like these =) We thank you for your long support my friend! I will easily support you against any team but considering that I didn't start the season well, 🤔 I just have to drew the line of my support in this round but bear it in mind that next round you'll have my support!!!
That's very kind of you, but I have to say that you're better off supporting a team that actually has skill. This season, I'm throwing on my entire academy in a 2-4-4 formation, and it's already reaped me zero results. Long season to go, and it looks like I already had to use VAR today, ensuring I need to hold my other VARs tighter than my satoshis. Cro2 did you get my DHL package? Dirty, used notes, as requested. Sorry Chi20, I had to do it.

Love the idea of different markets, hope we shall have some monster odds for the second leg to try play catch up with the top guys...
**Top Guys not happy with this development, I come in peace**
On the other hand, it could tempt many more to try for monster odds and further entrench the top guys in the safety zone. But yes, I overlooked the situation where odds aren't available for second legs and the final by the time we issue submissions. Just trying to minimise the work to do calculating scores without tweaking the template too much. This means 20 more total stakes to bet with? I expected to have 50 left (10 per each QF and SF round and 1 for the final).
Not sure how we'd pick anything from return games before we know the results from the 1st games.
Yeah, I didn't foresee the problem of odds not being available at the start of matchday, my bad, but I'm still thinking 10 stakes per Matchday = 20 stakes left. I'll probably put in more creative, riskier markets other than 1x2. But like you say, will be difficult to pick anything from return games, or even from the final (as that's lumped with the Semifinals). Perhaps the final will just be an outright selection on MD10. Or I make up some odds for 2nd leg, final games, but add some "buway bu-oost extra" on top to make them attractive. OR... We introduce a Matchday 11 just for the final. Allow people the chance to save stakes from MD9 and MD10, to use them up on MD11. One final chance for people to snatch prizes, with all kinds of markets available to put 10 stakes on. That will probably be more complicated and make people upset (and make joker_josue work harder), so I'll have a think about it, you guys will just have to put up with the confusion, and forgive my oversight =D

Napoli all the way! Barca will probably win this tie, they actually have a better track record away this season than at home, suppose not all teams find their own support comforting... *cough cough United. So therein lies my hope.
Odds are somewhat suggesting this will end as a FT draw, in which case I think the Italians have a better chance at holding their nerve in ET and smack the pens in.
Just to mention to everyone, I'm still not sure how the Final 2 matchdays will look like -- but I think I will put Pot B submissions slightly different, featuring 1x2 markets for the first leg games, and different markets for the 2nd leg+ final games.
Matchday 9 will be the QF. Matchday 10 will be SF legs + Final.
This is mainly because odds won't be easily available for all 2nd leg and final games at the start of MDs.

Oh bloody ell Chelski. Just as I came in here to talk about clawing my way back up yo Top 15 with an exact score, you let Newcastle back in late. Garbage scoreline. I should have known better than a consolation goal with this version of Chelsea.
Terrible Monday elsewhere though with Sevilla snatching a draw from the jaws of victory and Lazio doing even better. So I suppose Chelsea are the best of the lot.

Right, CLS63 no more favours after giving you 3 points, just make sure you don't let Trofo overtake you. When you're up there, and breathing in the sunshine, remember my sacrifice. And now I meet Chi20, whom I've supported every step of the Cup, in his ascent to the top. Take it easy on me, won't you? Thank you Cro2 for not putting Liverpool in BSFL. I lose points every time they're a choice, tip to my opponent in future: I never back anything but a Liverpool win, one of my many Achilles heels (even though he just had the one vulnerable one). Why is your team renamed to New-waytress in spreadsheet? New players, new style, new smell, same old shit... Like Athletic Bilbao, we also aim to play in the highest division every season, so actually winning the league isn't really our main target as long as we keep playing in Div 1 Everton, is that you??

Of course I'm keeping this thread quiet, quietly in the top 10 and trying to climb higher. It seems to be my only clear chance at a prize, so I prefer if the rest of you just forget about it and leave it to me. Should have known Juve/Napoli would be a draw... My boy Roberto d'Aversa is hitting new highs in his illustrious coaching career: And they say Prem League is where the drama's at. What drama? The two rival coaches of the best teams embrace before and after every match, while in Turkey and Italy, coaches are invoking the spirit of Cantona haha.

I like the term "Open Finance" a lot better than DeFI. Especially "DeFI" as it has existed so far on Ethereum and other altcoins which are far more centralized.
I like this. I've used the word "open" before to describe what I think are the ideals of Bitcoin (and yes, shall we say, crypto). As I said, I understand why the push for "decentralisation", but I don't comprehend the hasty labeling of it, and by proxy, the disdain for anything that's not "purely" decentralised. I accept the pipe dream, but I also accept the need for a guiding hand in the beginning, and then the concept of that allowing for open directions henceforth. That's how Bitcoin started, did it not? On a closed mailing list, and then on the sole computer, then with other peers, and then its current model (which yes, may have accents of centralisation but not against the idea of open development). I think anyone already using Bitcoin, signing transactions, accepting Bitcoin, etc. They have no need to ask themselves about "oh, am I ready for defi?". They're already doing better than that!

I like darxiaomi's suggestion for 10 places. Not that it matters to me, I somehow doubt I'm winning anything, but it's always nice to have 10 people fighting for something.
The better suggestion is for only 50 mbtc to go to players, and put me in charge of placing a 50mbtc bet on an F1 market. I'll triple it, or lose it all. How is that not better than double or nothing?

I have caught up with buwaytress by coming from behind. The e-sports question will determine the winner of this week. Even though both of us predicted the teams reaching the finale correctly I chose Falcons as the winner team of the tournament. As for buwaytress he chose BetBoom. Even though Falcons were 2-0 ahead in the final match BetBoom's having a potential to make a comeback scares me.
This is yours. How BB are going to win 3/3 I have no idea. It could have been so different if Liverpool scored just one of their 6 shots on target (though to be fair, City also had 6). Lamentations, but you and Arsenal are the biggest winners of tonight. Congratulations on finally beating me before the end-season slip.

Yeah, bloody Villa couldn't deliver the kill when they needed to. Spurs gifted them so many errors in the first half, but Watkins, bless him, was at fault for a couple of indecisive moments. Then Son and co strike back and score with a few chances, what a blow for the Villains.
This is me talking about other teams with a hint of disappointment we didn't win. We actually, perhaps only ever so slightly, deserved it. At least we made City look pretty boring, didn't we?

Of course, Bayern had to go goal-crazy. Kane had to score a hattrick. My poor form in this thread can be attributed to bad decisions, and an absence of posting wins when I actually made them. That'll teach for me for a lack of discipline. Today's bet is illd-advised. Low value, because Liverpool are hardly at half their peak first eleven, while City are practically at maximum strength. Odds should be well above 5/1, but there is a strange vibe at Anfield, with a strange period of uncertainty looming over the club. Spirits have never been higher, and Klopp's men want him to go out with an absolute bang. To paraphrase a forum regular Igebotz, I will say: "Better to take out sharks as I sink, than accept a quiet drowning." With that, please don't follow this bet... 1000 units on Liverpool to WIN vs Man City @3.45. Other odds: similar. No units advantage Bet ID: 65edd37edabdd80001e3ca20 Running advantage after 76 bets: +7849 (+0) All-time cumulative: +97,619 Running units after 75 bets (5W|70L): -3192 (-100)

Saw 7 notifies in the space of this morning so I scurried right over to this thread. COYR! buwaytress, cryptofrka and myself will be peeking at the TV, hiding behind our sofas for 90+ minutes I think.
Telling everyone who's happening to be watching with me that we'll lose, cursing every Red player, but deep down hoping for a miracle. A draw wouldn't be too bad, but I really want Nunez to smash City heads! Is it terrible that Sundays like these determine how the rest of the week will be for us? =) One bench will be full of kids and the other filled with elite senior players. Still, if anyone can win these kind of games, it's us. This time I'd be thrilled with a draw though.
Yeah, City more or less at full strength, while our soldiers are a batallion of greenhorns and injured vets just coming back in from the medics. Odds were below 3/1 all week before inching up above that, so clearly, money's heavy on City, no surprise. Possibly the last stage of the last decade's most exciting rivalry, I know I don't have to be Liverpool to say that! This means more!

Well done on the 100 mbtc sponsorship -- thank you to Sportsbet, of course Kicking myself for not staying with Bearman (I actually put him in 6th originally, but an hour before the race dropped him out, and then what's worse, it pushed Norris out a spot, so I missed out on 1.5 points. Doesn't sound like a lot but we all know what a half point imeans in this pool. I see cryptofrka is top this week. I normally would congratulate him but I decline comment for cheating bastards.

no comments here, but hard fought win for Barca, and they are back to no.2, didn't look as realistic just a few rounds ago, but Girona stepped down a bit lately
It was a matter of when not if with Girona. Realistically they couldn't have been expected to keep it up all the way till season end. That game against Real Madrid was the one that brought the reality back for them. Never been the same free flowing side after that one. Yeah, the stats always showed them to be overperforming. I don't always keep track of teams but I remember Spurs doing that a lot, and Liverpool season after season -- it always bites back, if not the end of the season, then the one after. It's rather why I feel afraid for Liverpool next season. We're letting in fewer goals than we should be, and scoring a little more than we should. Going against the mean is not sustainable. Then again -- Real have managed to overperform in the UCL season after season, and tournaments seem to be where you can continuously defy the average. So maybe there's something to adjust for in KO competitions, but in the league, numbers bring the truth out eventually. Oh, and Atleti. The surprise bedshitters.
