1121  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: How can we create a provably fair Ponzi Game ? on: January 26, 2015, 12:44:50 PM
Here's a trusted ponzi:

- Declare your own funds and hand them over to a trusted escrow for insurance (For example 10BTC)
- When unpaid deposits reach the insurance amount (10 BTC), you freeze the current round and pay all unpaid deposits with escrowed BTC
- Start new round with fresh deposits

You only make money from fees

This seems like a nice idea too. AS long as you don't get any big deposits in a small time frame,  the 10 BTC don't have to be refunded and can continue with further rounds, as long as 10 BTC is never in the wallet.
But, a drawback would be, that ponzis continue for over 48 hours at time. The escrow will have to monitor the address all the time, which would not be easy to manage.

Or some system could be hard-coded in ponzi site that will automatically freeze the round when the insurance amount is met with unpaid deposits.

OK, I executed my first trade. I wanted to evaluate the whole process for future trades.

Everything works great; a couple of suggestions:

- While placing the order, after specifying bid price I have to manually calculate the amount of BTC I can purchase with reference to INR balance. It would be nice to have an option where you specify the bid price and then click on INR balance to go "All In" and the exchange would automatically calculate the BTC you can buy.

- On orders page, I can see all recent trades. It would be nice to have isolated history of my trades so that I can keep track of my buy/sell trades and calculate profits acordingly.

I have just joined the exchange. Verification process was very quick, completed within minutes! Linking the bank aacount was also a breeze, completed within matter of minutes, too.

I have deposited a small amount to test how the trading and depost/withdrawal goes. Will update here soon.

P.S.:
I wanted to send money t your ICICI account, but the site shows no account number for ICICI, just an IFSC code (it just says 'SECURE'). So I sent to your AXIS account instead.
It is impossible to wire money without knowing the A/C number.

Yeah, ICICI had informed us that we just need to enter 'SECURE' to send funds to us. This is in order to be able to do quick bank links.
I have had another report that it didnt work. Will check on this and revert.

From coinsecure's post above, I can understand that entering 'SECURE' won't work with IMPS, but it should work with NEFT/RTGS.
I was trying to do IMPS, which is why it didn't work - or at least that's what I assume to be the case.

Neverthless I did IMPS to your AXIS which worked great, I received the deposit in my coinsecure account within a few minutes.

So far so good.

Hello friends......

and which sites pools support CPU and GPU ?

Trust me when I say Bitcon supports CPU and GPU mining.
Whether it is profitable or not is another matter  Roll Eyes

I don't think it will ever go back to 1000$, if it goes back to 300$ I will be happy...

You should be very happy by now Cheesy

I thought they were ip addresses so I broke them down in to two.

20.166.93.
14.88.2

This is what I found.

Watch your thoughts https://db-ip.com/all/20.166.93  = Computer Sciences Corporation
4.88.0.2  https://db-ip.com/14.88.0.2  =  South Korea

I also thought they were IP addresses but then I thought Computer Science Corporation had nothing to do with the quote, so I considered it a dead end and returned to think something else. Tongue

Maybe if you continue, down the path you'll be able to link CSC and Korea with this quote. Maybe the Sony hack? But it was North Korea though.

This is a very novel idea for a faucet. I have been to the site and I'll surely play. Not sure how much time I need to crack the code, though ;P

Hey guys this is a Ponzi Game not a Ponzi scheme.
Read the FAQ on the website to know more about the game rules.

Ponzi Scheme = PONZI

Ponzi Game    = PONZI

1) owner sets up a website advertising 300% or more/less ROI to users who invest in their “plans”.
2) Unfortunate victims deposit in the hope of receiving good returns.
3) Users get paid with the deposits of others allowing some to say the investments are working
4) The extra publicity and praise helps rake in more and more Bitcoins
5) When payouts become unsustainable, owner folds and runs with remaining money
6) Rinse and repeat at will.

1136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it really THAT bad right now? on: January 23, 2015, 11:29:44 AM
I understand that the price of bitcoin is slowly dropping, but is there real need for panic?

And also, if anyone knows the mechanics of bitcoin, why is it failing?

I coded Bitcoin such that it would reach a million dollar before 2015. I never coded this price drop, don't know why it's happening.

Probably something I overlooked, I'll get back to work and will let you know ASAP.

A failed disk is better than a DoS attack or hacked forum, so I'm glad.

Good to see a recent backup recovered with very little loss of data.

Wow, $65 Billion... This shows how easy it is to fool anyone [...]

What amazes me is that the biggest scammer of them all was former chairman of NASDAQ and he survived 6 SEC investigations.
