1121  Economy / Gambling / Re: My urge to go to land base casino in this lock down and how I fight it. on: May 10, 2020, 02:15:16 PM
Here in our country, people do not know online casinos. Most of the people here are not really going to casinos nor do poker and stuff like that but they usually bet on cockfighting. Most of them are not aware of online sites and not following the policies of ECQ as they continue to gamble with their friends and other people from other barangays. They would stop for a week, a maximum of two weeks, and then they will break it again. I could say this since I can't really go with them with my work but they have it harder than me to stop gambling.

Each country has its own specifics in gambling. Somewhere people love and bet on horse racing. Where are common the cock and dog fights and so on. However, globalization is spreading across the planet with the development of the Internet. And if you have access to the Internet, then you can play in online casinos and suffer from gambling addiction.

I think it would be amazing to see those people bet online but I don't think they would reach that point. I think the next generation would be in that situation but the generation right now is still at that traditional betting. I don't think people would immediately understand what I am saying since most of the people here are living in places where they can't really see people without phones. I am living where you don't see tall buildings and just see the mountains surrounding our place. I am just educated earlier to technologies, saying that I don't think that these people would actually be learning online gambling unless the next generation steps in. They are aware of the internet but still submerged to social media and games like Mobile Legends, PUBG and Call of Duty and yes, they are still young but now learning to raise their own rooster and going with their fathers and these people betting on cockfighting. That is how popular this gambling is here in our province and here in our country.
1122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Investors are losing Bitcoin by Investing in Altcoins? on: May 10, 2020, 01:30:09 PM

I guess you can use that link to look at the price changes of altcoins and bitcoin in the long run. YOu will observe that the price of altcoins are better at their starting period but in the long run, they will just all fall down while the price of bitcoin does fall at some point but it never stops from going up unlike the other already dead altcoins.
1123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach an astronomical all-time new high. on: May 10, 2020, 12:06:13 PM
It is true that the price of bitcoin did increase in the past after the halvening happened but I don't think it would be the same right now. The price of bitcoin is not that low these past 4 years and the price is immediately increasing even though it dropped just last month to almost $3K. I think it would increase to reach $15K but I don't think it would be something higher than that. I don't think we would be seeing another ATH this year since we also have some negative effects on the pandemic.
1124  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc going to 2k or 3k or 7k or 9k on: May 10, 2020, 10:50:36 AM
People will need some time. Noone wants to withdraw their crypto investments first. Many people will wait to withdraw their money until they have to. This might be the case for some this month.

That is the obvious move, I think. The usual, if you ask me. With this pandemic, people are really using some of their btcs to convert into fiat and keep them safe from the virus. I think another obvious move right now is just waiting for the halving to happen and just be wary of the price movement since there might be quick changes to that.
1125  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: May 10, 2020, 09:57:11 AM
The cryptocurrency market is similar to the stock market, not the gold market. The stock market collapsed, respectively, the price of cryptocurrencies collapsed too. Bitcoin is only conditionally called digital gold. The bearish trend may indeed resume after halving. If there is a second wave of coronavirus in the fall, the economic crisis will be even more devastating for the economy. The stock market, cryptocurrencies and commodities may show new price lows.

For me, it isn't. The stock market are not similar to the market that we have. As the stock market having a rough time this pandemic, the price of bitcoin and other crypto currencies are having a good performance outperforming the stock market and even Gold. It is true though that the pandemic is affecting the crypto market but I don't think it is that bad as stock market.

This is reality because not all parts of the world having that kind of awareness towards tech or how things work online or the level of education of each person towards into things. Therefore, it would really be different
on how they do approach into things, so they would really end up on engaging into things offline instead on considering to go to online since they do lack awareness or knowledge about that, this is why they do really go
to this kind of path.

Fighting the urge to gamble is really hard, your discipline would be primarily tested out.It will just depend on how people deal up with it.

You know, the sad thing here is that people are so comfortable with what they have. I can observe that they don't want more, I mean it is not that bad to be greedy sometimes, it is not that bad to have a goal higher, you know? They are just stuck in this loop and do not want to break from it, I realized this in the past the time I am thinking to stop gambling and it is working. They are used to things they are doing and they will keep on doing that until they rest.
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: May 09, 2020, 11:51:03 PM
A very funny thread with humorous list of things but I would like to say that there are some good points made.

Firstly most of the casino are closed everywhere and even if there are few opened we should avoid going there. If someone wants to do gambling they should prefer to go online and play gamble rather than going in casino.

Or to not just gamble at all. We can't really push ourselves to gamble right now especially we will be betting on something that some gamblers might be able to do in the past. I think this should be the time that we should be taking advantage of being able to forget or keep ourselves from distancing into betting or gambling, it is the time guys.

I think you just don't know,  Grin

Do you have internet connection in your country? if so, then I would say that some people are gambling online using cryptocurrency.
I am in a country which is not progressive but I learn to gamble online and I love it although I don't bet a lot of money.
Online gambling or crypto gambling in my case gives me the best experience than going to a place to gamble because at the same time I can save time and I can do my job while I am gambling online.

Well, here's what you don't know. These people don't know what the internet is like. I am living in one of the provinces of a third world country. Yeah, almost all of the people have their own mobile phones but these people I am saying don't even own a phone, how much more of a computer. What they do know though is to browse with their facebook accounts and call their loved ones. To be honest, they can't even silent their phones. They can't surf the internet since they only know how to open their fb accounts, they can watch some videos on YouTube but I am sure that they will never be able to gamble online nor know what crypto currency is. As I said, they are not going to casinos so they don't know how to play poker and stuffs like that, they are into cockfighting, they also do card games but they do it offline. They are more concerned about how they will raise their roosters for their next fight.
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin The King Of Crypto on: May 09, 2020, 10:01:24 PM
Of course, Bitcoin is the King of Crypto. The comparison between other currencies and him. Bitcoin looks strong, I see it as a great leader. We all know that it marked the beginning of the financial revolution.

Well, I don't see it as a leader, I see it as the first crypto currency ever made. Bitcoin is leading in this market since it is the first one and it is continuously supported and being developed by people who Satoshi Nakamoto entrusted it from. In my opinion, bitcoin is not the greatest crypto currency ever since there are a lot of alts that is better than it but the thing is it is being supported by a lot of people that is why it will stay at being the most expensive in the market.
1130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that the price of bitcoin can come down to below? on: May 09, 2020, 02:48:51 PM
Do you think that the price of bitcoin can come down to below three and a half thousand dollars? Because the current situation in the world is that the market is not stable because of this epidemic Many experts who have been observing this market for a long time think that the price of Bitcoin will go down again. Now people are very much scared of this epidemic. No one in the world will be stable in this market until this epidemic is gone. All other businesses that have other online markets are in the same situation so groom Tamana is not the time to go on the market

Well, the price of bitcoin is quite unpredictable sometimes and it just doesn't stop to amaze us, it could go down that low but I don't think it would happen after the dump since we all know that it would obviously go up after the dump. Even though we are affected by the pandemic, I don't think it would affect the market that big especially bitcoin based on the price movements the past months.
1131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: May 09, 2020, 02:15:05 PM
in my side during this lockdown. bitcoin is very big help on me because of this i can communicate my family in other places. sense no one store to operate to load up my phone i use this bitcoin to buy prepaid load for my phone to communicate them..

I too paid my electricity bills through bitcoins. I also wanted to do online grocery shopping with bitcoin but that option was not available in my country so i had to use my credit card for online shopping.
This is what I do paying my bills using bitcoin in an online application. And using bitcoin to load a phone so this bitcoin is really helping people these days. In this time of lockdown we had more opportunities to do at home as it helps me to spend more time in the forum.

Then it is that online application is useful not bitcoin, right? Another thing is that why are you even saving your bitcoins into these online applications or maybe an local exchange? Well, it is your own preference but for me, I can't really use bitcoin right now. It is true that we can pay using these exchanges but it is the exchange and not bitcoin, you can also use fiat in these types of payment using mobile applications.

The reason for using bitcoins these days is lockdown and fiat/ banks not easily accessible. My credit card exhausted up and i could not visit the bank to deposit fiat into bank and clear my dues. In such cases, bitcoin helps to pay the bills and other emergency payments.

Well, that is just the same here in our country but the thing is that if you live in a province, you don't really need to problem food as you can just go somewhere and you can find fresh vegetables there, no problem with the food here, the only problem is that some of the things needed can't be taken from the mother nature so we still need to buy that from the town and that is the problem since vehicles here are not accepted to go into town without quarantine pass and they are not allowing 2 people in a vehicle.
1132  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: May 09, 2020, 01:29:08 PM
In global recessions/depressions/global economic meltdowns people turn to gold/silver and digital gold such as bitcoin so why bitcoin crash and gold market not crashing in times like these?

I think BTC not crashing at this moment because of fiat money crisis. Many government already printing money to save their people as well as. At the same time people who are in home trying to earn alternative way and cryptocurrency is the best way they are seeing. In this virus time if they invest or gain money from home that may be best one and that may be main reason to btc high market.

thanks.

Or maybe just because of the halving coming up. I think a lot of people thought that before halving the price of bitcoin will go down or they are finding a good price to buy to be ready for it but as the date is closing, the price is rising so people have no choice but to buy at that price; the price is slowly falling now, maybe it is just the time for the correction or for that time to buy.
1133  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: May 09, 2020, 12:27:45 PM
Good chance and opportunity when government want to create own digital currency because will wake up the economic and many people will adopt and use digital currency than using cash money, how ever payment most easy and faster after adopting and using digital currency than we use cash transaction.

If you will be thinking of it, there are already a lot of people using payment methods online rather than doing it traditionally or offline. So I don't think that it will wake the economy up since they would be waking the economy up before even thinking they need a digital currency for the efficiency of transactions for the people and another country as well.
1134  Economy / Gambling / Re: My urge to go to land base casino in this lock down and how I fight it. on: May 09, 2020, 11:39:47 AM
I think it is really the time to practice ourselves, it is the time to stop our addiction into gambling. Since most of the casinos are closed, people are actually busy doing other things but there are still those that push themselves to gamble. I think it is time to be busy with other things like exercise, having bonded with your family or maybe focussing on your work.

Only offline casinos have closed. In addition, such casinos were not in every city. Now the popularity of online casinos has grown significantly. Many people are quarantined at home. They have nothing to do. That's why they spend their time gambling, watching movies, and so on.
Therefore, it is very difficult for people in this situation to overcome their addiction.

Here in our country, people do not know online casinos. Most of the people here are not really going to casinos nor do poker and stuff like that but they usually bet on cockfighting. 1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering More or Wagering Less on: May 09, 2020, 12:19:22 AM
Well, for me it is better if we will be wagering less. Gambling is not something that would ensure us a good profit every day, it is not stable and it would also negatively affect our lives. Wagering more doesn't always mean more profit since it is gambling, it is either more profit or more losses but I think it is the lather, based on most of the stories and experiences I know.

1138  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: May 08, 2020, 10:54:25 PM
The positive impacts are, we are going to do what we need to do after this pandemic, countries are now going to develop their health program they will support their health and medical workers and there will be a lot of laws about a pandemic that countries will implement in case another pandemic comes out, a lot of new normals are going to come out after this pandemic.

I think this pandemic is something that they should learn to but I don't think they would be able to do what needs to be done since we never know when another epidemic will hit and despite the technology people have, we are still struggling to find the cure, the vaccine to this pandemic. We are still not ready for what's to come.
1139  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: May 08, 2020, 10:05:51 PM
that was good of you , you have some funds backup for this pandemic , but some other people really need pull their assets to survive on this pandemic , hope we all can get good ending

I think we can get along with that since we are doing that even in the normal days, we sell when we really needed it. Saying that we can say that there are some that actually panicked but most of them sell in the time of need and that is not panic selling.
1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 08, 2020, 02:30:26 PM
The number one pro here is the anonymity of you as a gambler. I like that kind of privacy since there will be no people that are sometimes annoying that are just watching you. But the con here is that there are some gambling sites that have KYC and I don't like that really. I don't want to use send my information since we all want to maximize our privacy or anonymity here.
